Thiwson Beach Resort

Good location for sure! the views are yo die for plenty of restaurants, supermarkets, 7/11, etc close by, the breakfast is great, the water is swimmable from here tide dependant as with the whole island but a nice sandy clean beach, the rooms are modern clean very nice bungalows, definitely recommend you get a sea view if available. you may end up in a bungalow on the other side of the road like i did but its about 30m away from the restaurant and in a nice garden location with about 20 other bungalows

We stayed at Thiwson for the 3rd time in a beach bungalow, and we loved it. The staff are so kind and welcoming. The view from the bungalow is amazing and it is very peaceful and quiet. The breakfast or delicious with lots of local dishes and good coffee. The only thing bad thing is that the WiFi connection in room A102 is not good. We love this place and will be coming back again!

The room was awesome it was self contained, really clean, mosquito net, wifi was good, bed was comfortable, loved the outdoor shower, private balcony. We were positioned quite close to the pool which was nice except there are lots of kids who come here and they were in the pool from 7am and so if you don’t love that vibe I reckon just request to have a spot away from the pool and there are plenty of options. The staff were amazing. They helped us with tickets and taxis and renting a motorbike for a few days (best way to get around the island really).

What a lovely place to stay! surroundings are just perfect. I must say, hotel staff is very friendly, polite and helpful. we stayed in family villa with two bedrooms and private pool. very rustic and beautiful. rooms very spacious, walk-in shower huge! We did rent bikes from hotel and had amazing ride through the island. Food was always fresh and delicious, must mention that they did were very good with allergens, and even though we had buffet breakfast included they did cook separately gluten free breakfasts for us.

Nice relaxed resort on quiet spot on the Island. The rooms are pretty basic, with airco. Friendly staff. Some rooms have outside bathtub at the beachside. Nice pools. We stayed at the pool on opposit side of the road. Breakfast was good, dinner could be better. Sunrise is nice in the morning.

My wife and I had a wonderful time at this hotel. The rooms are wonderful cabins which were remarkably clean and insect free. We didn't even need to use the provided mosquito net. The cabins provide a great feel of privacy I'd recommend this resort to any couples it's incredibly picturesque and romantic. They also have a gas scooters available to rent for a very affordable price and a taxi service available from the resort to navigate the island. Breakfast had western and Asian options and whilst nothing extraordinary met my expectations.

Really nice resort with bungalows and an amazing pool. Breakfast was superb, however we were not really satisfied with drinks and restaurant food. But there are plenty of other options nearby on a motorbike.

Sadly we were not impressed. We paid for a beach front room, which has a great view but the room was not very good for multiple reasons, and the service was pretty bad. Bathroom was basic Thai style, not painted properly, door didn't latch, air conditioner didn't work very well, mainly due to lack of insulation. Floor gaps were open to the point you could see the dirt below, jet tub outside didn't work. Couldn't fill it with water because only the spray handle worked. Had a massive spider in the room, and kept coming back in, probably from the bathroom door, as there is no roof in the shower. Bed was so hard my neck and back hurt from trying to sleep on them. The restaurant served okay food but we waited for 40 min plus on each order, drinks were not very good, my friends when they ordered on other occasions had the same issue, forgot orders and it took a very long time. The last day my wife ordered food and it just never came. Most of the staff were not very friendly but maybe because they didn't speak English? We asked about the air conditioning and they sent the maid to look at it. They said it was because it was hot out. But their office was nice and cold, so much so the desk manager wore a coat. Maintenance overall is pretty poor here. Don't recommend it, will choose another place next time. Love the island and the local people are lovely.
