Thiwson Beach Resort

We wanted a place that would be|- mid range |- on the beach|- not crowded||In all of these Thiewson was the perfect choice. The previous reviews had prepared us for what to expect and with the exception of the WiFi connection (which seems to have improved), we found the previous reviews to be pretty accurate. ||We stayed in one of the beachfront rooms (A2), and we appreciated|- opening our door to the sea |- the private jacuzzi, also on the balcony, and therefore with a sea view |- the open air shower|- the cooking, which was consistently good|- the daily housekeeping |- the size of the room, which had a day bed|- the high sleep quality of the bed - thick mattress and soft pillows|- all the services (in house organisation of excursions, transport, massage in the room)|- a spotlessly clean pool|- a beach where it was possible to swim, or wade (saw others, didn’t do it ourselves)||Other reviews have also mentioned that the property is crying for some investment and this has manifested itself in |- a leaky balcony roof which meant that during a day of rain that we had, we could not sit out or use the jacuzzi|- lack of a shower curtain in the bathroom which gets wet after the rains or after a shower|- broken recliners strewn across the beach |- a bit of polish or paint on some of the furniture||Other reviews have mentioned about the service. We found it perfectly adequate, and everything worked perfectly. Perhaps the staff did not go out of the way to pick up a conversation but that I think had more to do with language skills rather than any lack of interest or hospitality.||Would we come back? Oh yes!

Nice location, but at night I got totally nuts on the screaming insects. Oh my god, they were louder than the airconditioning. Of course the hotel is not to blame for it, but that is what you get for staying at this nice location. Bungalows were clean, outdoor showers are always fun. Be aware that there is a beach, but I am not sure you can enter the sea directly. The beach is raised and separated from the sea by a little wall.

#Accommodationkohyaoyai|Thiwson beach resort is a well located accommodation with many types to choose from at reasonable prices. It is not far from Laem Had beach, a famous beautiful beach that is ranked in the world. It is also close to restaurants, cafes, and convenience stores. The accommodation has 2 sides: the seaside side and the mountain side. Both sides have swimming pools.||🔸 We stayed in a Deluxe room in the mountain zone, priced at around 2,xxx (including breakfast). The accommodation was built to blend in with a quiet atmosphere. The room was spacious and had all the amenities. However, if you don't rent a motorbike to travel around, staying on this side might be a bit difficult in terms of transportation. Staying next to the sea is more convenient.||🔸 There are restaurants and bars by the sea where you can relax.||🔸 Kayaking and motorbike rental services are available.||Koh Yao Yai is another island worth visiting. It is very natural, not crowded, and the food is not expensive. We came for 2 days and 1 night, which we felt was a bit short. If it were 3 days and 2 nights, it would be just right. We will come back again next time😁||⭐ Traveling to Koh Yao Yai.||🔹 Krabi, board the boat at Tha Len pier.|🔹 Phang Nga, board the boat at the customs pier.|🔹 Phuket, board the boat at Bang Rong pier.||There are many boat trips available. The normal fare is 250 baht per person. It takes about 30 minutes.||

For the money, this place is good. It’s a good location to use as a base and hire a scooter to explore and is close to the ferry pier so very convenient to get to. Nice little private beach and pool. Staff are all super friendly but lack efficiency and initiative at times. (Lots of standing around looking at their phones) Rooms are nice and spacious, pretty basic but they’ve got everything you need. There’s a little minimart as part of the complex so they’ve got it all covered.

Rooms were great, pool was nice , food was average. The resort is located right on beach. Blue tamarind restaurant which serves good food is at walking distance. Supermart is at walking distance. You can rent scooter here !

Good location for sure! the views are yo die for plenty of restaurants, supermarkets, 7/11, etc close by, the breakfast is great, the water is swimmable from here tide dependant as with the whole island but a nice sandy clean beach, the rooms are modern clean very nice bungalows, definitely recommend you get a sea view if available. you may end up in a bungalow on the other side of the road like i did but its about 30m away from the restaurant and in a nice garden location with about 20 other bungalows

We stayed three nights and were very pleased with the service, the room and the facilities. The pool was crystal clean and the infinity part gives a nice touch to it. It’s piece of heaven.

We stayed at Thiwson for the 3rd time in a beach bungalow, and we loved it. The staff are so kind and welcoming. The view from the bungalow is amazing and it is very peaceful and quiet. The breakfast or delicious with lots of local dishes and good coffee. The only thing bad thing is that the WiFi connection in room A102 is not good. We love this place and will be coming back again!
