Poor customer service. Save your money and buy online direct from Thomas Kinkade Studios official page. I ended up saving over $500 that could have gone to Murfreesboro and supported a small business... instead, the Murfreesboro gallery wanted to choose greed over customer service.
Thomas Kinkade painting collector for over 25 years here, purchased from Kinkade galleries in Birmingham, Savannah, and more. Was passing through today (12/12/25) and interested in purchasing two pieces in store, over $3,000. Asked what the best deal they could do on purchasing two pieces, was told that no specials on art were going on currently -- said we missed it by just a few days and no fine artwork discounts were offered unless they were authorized by Thomas Kinkade Studios.
The clerk called the owner, Dennis, to check (both clerk and owner had perturbed "tones" and we heard the owner on the phone tell the clerk that no discounts were given -- only no sales tax for out of state orders -- and that's how the Gatlinburg gallery was shut down, that the Gatlinburg gallery violated a discount policy, but that Murfreesboro offered free master highlighting with paintings... that's never been a perk with our Kinkade art purchases, it's always been included with the piece purchased at every gallery we've done business at.
The clerk said that Thomas Kinkade Studios controls the discounts and the Murfreesboro gallery offers competitive pricing.
If that's the case, why is Thomas Kinkade Studios offering a 20% sale currently (as of 12/12/25) on its official art page online? -- See the attached screenshot -- That info should've been shared with us in store since supposedly discounts are managed from the top down by Thomas Kinkade Studios.
And why is the same exact artwork in edition, size, and frame type cheaper on the Thomas Kinkade Studios site than the in store gallery price? Yes, I immediately checked online, entered the code as if I were going to purchase the piece and the 20% discount was taken off at checkout online. Why wasn't this discount offered in store at Murfreesboro when we were in there as it was an officially sanctioned discount on a purchase price that would have been eligible? A savings of over $500!
Because of this experience, we never patronize this gallery.
