Thon Hotel Arendal

I stayed at this hotel, which is part of a large chain, with parking available right across the street. I was greeted by a friendly receptionist and got a room on the 6th floor – the same floor as breakfast. There was also a cozy lounge area with free coffee, tea, and even an ice machine for guests. The room itself was excellent – spacious, nicely decorated, and very comfortable. However, I was really disappointed with the shower, which was surprisingly dirty and didn’t match the otherwise high standard of the room. The gym was great, well-equipped with modern machines, and the breakfast was also very good with lots of options. They even had a chocolate milk dispenser, which was a nice touch (even though it was almost empty when I arrived). When checking out, the receptionist kindly asked how my stay had been. I mentioned the dirty shower, and she sincerely apologized, took notes, and promised to fix it – which I truly appreciated. Overall, a great hotel with friendly staff and excellent facilities, though the shower cleaning definitely needs improvement.

Big disappointment with this hotel. The rooms are definitely not worth the price. Ugly view from the room and strange people under the windows who disturb the night's peace. Dirty shower stall full of white stains. Stained carpets . Dust everywhere . The small fridge is full of overpriced drinks, should I ask the front desk to open a bottle for me and pay extra!? Where are we? And on top of that, you want people to pay for overpriced parking, in a terrible little garage. This is not the standard we are used to. Even the cheapest airbnb is better... The only positive was the breakfast, this space was like it wasn't even part of this hotel . Completely different friendly people, pleasant atmosphere, varied breakfast. And a nice view . But I have to give the overall rating low because the coziness and pleasant feeling were ruined by the rating described above.

This hotel was great in many ways. The location is perfect and the service from the man in the reception was unrushed and attentive. Super!|The rooms and beds are great, with the somewhat odd color scheme Thon uses at all their properties. The breakfast was served on the 6th floor and i chose to have it outside on their wonderful terrace overlooking Arendal. What a treat!|They gave me a bottle of water upon check-in and also invited to supper 18.00-21.00. Big surprise and a great bargain.

The hotel's location is extremely advantageous, with convenient transportation around it. It is very close to the destination of my business trip this time, which has saved me a lot of time during my journey. There are also many shopping malls, restaurants and convenience stores around, which meet all kinds of daily life needs. Moreover, there is a subway station and a bus stop near the hotel. Even if you don't have a private car, it's very convenient to get around.||||||||Entering the hotel lobby, the decoration style gives people a warm and comfortable feeling. The lobby is spacious and bright, with the lighting arranged just right. It is neither overly dazzling nor fails to create a warm atmosphere. The decoration features a large number of wooden elements, complemented by soft lighting, giving people a sense of warmth as if they were back home. The lounge area in the lobby is furnished with comfortable sofas and coffee tables for guests to rest and wait. Next to it, there are bookshelves filled with all kinds of books and magazines, providing guests with a small space to relax and unwind.||||||||The service attitude of the front desk receptionist left a particularly deep impression on me. They greeted every guest with smiles on their faces and enthusiasm. During the check-in process, the staff were very skilled and efficient, and they quickly completed everything for me

Nice room with very comfortable bed. Great location- nice with Egon restaurant and the cinema direct access. Been here before will come again.

Good hotel with a comfortable room. Everything was working but no shampoo in the dispenser. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Ok gym with good facilities. Breakfast was with areally fine selection of all sorts of stuff. Resonable rate good value for the money

The rooms are with modern furniture, clean and spacious enough. The breakfast is amazing with plenty of variety. It was a great touch to have a Nespresso machine in the lobby so you can grab a coffee on the go when leaving to work. The view from the terrace is magnificent!
