We chose the Thon Hotel Rosenkrantz Oslo for its prime central location, and it proved to be the perfect base for exploring the city! All the major attractions and shopping areas are within walking distance, making it incredibly convenient. We only took the tram once, to visit the beautiful Vigeland Park.|The check-in process was seamless and welcoming, even though we arrived late at night. This level of service was consistent throughout our stay, with the front desk team always greeting us with a smile and making us feel right at home. It's amazing how a smile and the interior design of the room can make all the difference!||The breakfast was a highlight of each day, offering an extensive selection of fresh food, local specialties, hot dishes, and expertly brewed espresso and cappuccinos. Our daughters were especially enchanted by the taste of the handmade chocolates!||We also enjoyed dining at Osteria della Nonna, the hotel's Italian restaurant. Initially, we were hesitant to try Italian cuisine outside of Italy, but the menu greatly exceeded our expectations—authentic and delicious, just like home. The service was impeccable, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. We highly recommend making a reservation in advance, as the restaurant fills up quickly!||Our rooms and bathrooms were spacious, comfortable, and, most importantly, spotless. The soundproof windows were a real bonus, ensuring a peaceful and restful sleep despite being in the heart of the city. The mattresses and pillows were incredibly comfortable, providing a much-needed recharge after a day of sightseeing.||We were lucky to visit during perfect August weather—after leaving Italy at 40°C, we landed in Oslo to beautiful spring temperatures around 25°C, with sunny skies that lasted until late evening. This allowed us even to enjoy a amazing swim by the seashore near the Munch Museum.||Overall, we highly recommend the Thon Hotel Rosenkrantz for an unforgettable stay in Oslo!!!
