Thon Hotel Spectrum

I can't believe this hotel is only 3 stars. I had a lovely two night stay in January. I was given a really big loft room, very warm and good facilities. Lots of English TV channels, tea and coffee, hairdryer, iron etc. It was very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was super. Fantastic selection - and I'm vegetarian. Tea/ coffee, fruit and pastries available in the lobby as well. |Great location - everything walkable distance and bus/ train station nearby. |All in all, for the price paid I think this was a great place to stay and I would highly recommend.

What an amazing stay. Staff were very friendly and efficient, the reception area was welcoming and had free fruits, coffee and tea. There is also an ice dispenser, how handy. Breakfast was awesome as well as the spread was full of variety. Great way to load up before the day of walking! Location was excellent as it was a short walk to the city centre and the other attractions. Would definitely recommend this hotel when in Oslo!

Great hotel, quiet, professional. We spent 3 nights there. We can leave our luggage there for chek in because our wasn't ready so we could go around Oslo and when we left we could also left our luggage to do our last shopping. The room we had was a standard king size bed. Very clean, little coffee and tea, a little fridge, a iron table , the only thing was the bathroom was quite small. The breakfast buffet was amazing. A lot to choose and for everyone and every diet. I recommend.

Very very nice hotel and a spectacular breakfast. 10/10 would stay again! The only room for improvement I found was the beer selection in the lobby bar - why not learn from your Vaterland neighbours and stock some Amundsen?

This was a last minute booking I made and although the neighborhood is not nice, the hotel is centrally located and we had a nice stay. The personnel are quite helpful and friendly, and the breakfast buffet was pretty good. The rooms are comfortable and clean with all the amenities needed. The only downside is that because it is located in a busy street, the level of noise is pretty high. However, I would still recommend without hesitation. Thank you for a pleasant three-day stay!

Great hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Close to downtown by walking. Awesome breakfast! Very active bars on either side of hotel front. Request a a rear facing room if quiet nighttime is important. The hotel feels very secure, a room key is required to take the elevator up to a floor.

Amazing hotel and incredibly helpful staff! We had a lovely stay and thoroughly enjoyed the top tier breakfast. After losing a package in the mail that was set to arrive at the hotel, the hotel staff went above and beyond to help us get our package. They were able to help us to send our package home to us after a long fiasco. Top tier service!!

This is not a desirable hotel. 1/2 a block away there were drug deals happening. Our room was at 24°C/76°F for ALL of our 3 night stay. The room was like a prison cell. We advised the front desk and were told that the entire hotel was set to the same temp. The hallways and reception area were much cooler. We asked for a fan and one was delivered. All staff said that there was nothing they could do. The front desk offered no solutions and no room credit. A bunch of crooks. Big outdoor eating/carnival area outside the window. Not running in winter for which we were grateful. The room comes with earplugs

Rooms are comfortable, but the AC is broken and it's warm. The breakfast is really quite nice. Best part of the hotel. The public spaces are dirty, and the desk staff is pure Motel 6. The neighborhood is conveniently near OSLO-S and the T, but it's a bit tougher neighborhood, with the 7-11 across from it, than other Thon hotels in the area. I'd try the Opera rather than this next time.

The hotel might be on one of the sketchiest streets, but the location is close to the central station and Oslo Specktum. The layout is akin to a university dormitory with long corridors and plain hotel doors lining either side. However the rooms are clean and the bathroom floor heated, a godsend when you need to get up in the middle of the night to empty your bladder. The buffet breakfast spread was generous and perfect for loading up before spending the rest of the day exploring the city.
