Thon Hotel Spectrum

Very good rooms and the location of the hotel is wonderful. It's close to Oslo Sentrum and it is very easy to walk around the city from there. The biggest draw is certainly its excellent breakfast buffet! Please keep offering this to your customers, Thon Hotel. I will come back just for the included breakfast. *chef's kiss*

Absolutely recommendable! Situated in the centre and lots of attractions in walking distance. Formidable service, friendly and competent. Always with a smile on their lips. After having breakfast here the next meal you’ll need is in the evening! Breakfast is a must have! Will visit again when coming to Oslo! Tussen takk!

This is my first time to Norway. I am not sure what a normal size room should be. Our room was very small. The bed is smaller than a queen size bed too. The check-in and checkout were fast. The receptionist spoke good English. This hotel provides an excellent breakfast. There are a lot of choices of bread, smoked fish. They even have green salad and fresh fruit. Those are expensive in Norway. However the breakfast room does not open until 7 AM on weekdays and 7:30 AM on weekends. I think it’s a little late. The location is about 5 minutes from the train and bus stations.

We came to town (from California) to see a concert and this hotel was located nearby to the venue. Though listed as a budget hotel we found it to be luxurious. Reception was pleasant and accomodating. We asked for a quiet room and got one on the 4th floor. The room was very clean and the windows opened all the way! The beds were so comfortable that we overslept and missed breakfast one day. The breakfast was fantastic - a huge variety of foods, beverages, breads, pastries, smoked fish, sauteed vegetables, pickled carrots, eggs, sausages & bacon - the list goes on and on. We didn't want to leave. Hope we get to come back some day.

I loved this hotel for their friendly service, the terrific included breakfast and the room. For a European Hotel, it was larger than most. Bed was comfortable and room clean, shower had good pressure and room came with the usual amenities that a 5 star hotel offers. Only downside was the location..not too many restaurants within walking distance

Great value for money, the breakfast is amazing for the price range, the room was good and the location is spot on for Oslo! We enjoyed it thoroughly and would come againn

Enjoyed my stay. Requested a quiet room facing away from the street. There is a bar next door that I think would be quite noisy for street facing rooms. A bit of construction noise during the day but not an issue. Room was spacious and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is excellent. I would definitely start here again. Only thing was no smart tv so had to watch Netflix on my little computer ☹️.

This hotel was our base for our trip to Oslo.||It was located within ten minutes from the main Oslo Station. ||Rooms were compact but when we moved away from the street we got a much larger room but more importantly quieter. The street facing rooms were above or across the street from the bars/restaurants so it got louder when it wasn’t raining.||Bed and pillows were the right softness for us and we woke up rested.||The breakfast buffet was large with lots of options. Breads, cereals, cold and hot dishes, many types of dairy and dairy free milks, gluten free, fresh fruits and a large Nespresso coffee machine. I especially enjoyed the smoked mackerel and salmon.||Nespresso, tea and water were available all day in the lobby and lounge. ||Front desk service was very friendly and so helpful.

Rooms are comfortable, but the AC is broken and it's warm. The breakfast is really quite nice. Best part of the hotel. The public spaces are dirty, and the desk staff is pure Motel 6. The neighborhood is conveniently near OSLO-S and the T, but it's a bit tougher neighborhood, with the 7-11 across from it, than other Thon hotels in the area. I'd try the Opera rather than this next time.

The hotel might be on one of the sketchiest streets, but the location is close to the central station and Oslo Specktum. The layout is akin to a university dormitory with long corridors and plain hotel doors lining either side. However the rooms are clean and the bathroom floor heated, a godsend when you need to get up in the middle of the night to empty your bladder. The buffet breakfast spread was generous and perfect for loading up before spending the rest of the day exploring the city.
