Beautiful natural area with a ton to see. If Thors Well isn't putting in much of a show, there is also the Spouting Horn and lots to look at along the loop trail. The king tides are spectacular to watch from here. Parking can be horrible in the summer, but off season it's amazing.

Thor's Well is an incredible sight to behold. This natural wonder showcases the ocean's power as it rushes into a large sinkhole, creating a mesmerizing display. It's a must-visit destination for nature lovers and adventurers, where you can witness this awe-inspiring spectacle and enjoy the beautiful coastal surroundings. Aside from the main attraction, Thor's Well is also surrounded by other fascinating natural features, such as tidal pools and sea caves. Another amazing mother nature's art product you shouldn't miss when you are driving through pacific coastline in Oregon! There is nothing like this, it's just unique. We arrived at the low tide time so we could walk to the edge of well. Not hard and it's just a short walk with fun. But be alerted that it could be extremely dangerous, and you don't want to fall! The roaring never stops around here, water comes and goes, fills up and disappears, just so amazing. Not many people when we were here so parking was not bad at all. It could get crowded anyway, be expected.

We stopped by here on our coastal road trip in late May. We arrived just before sunset and the tide was on the lower side, but it was still worth the trip. We were staying about 30 minuets from here and drove our car, as the parking is very limited and hard to stop when in a RV, but the drive from Florence and back was beautiful and we stopped at almost every turn out for the photos and view. The hike down starts off with a nice trail, then stairs and finally rocks. But the trail is easy and it's not super long, so even younger kids can do it. But do wear shoes appropriate for the area. There are also benches to sit on and look over the water, but the closer views are amazing. Nature is beautiful.

Loved the way the water flows in and out of the well. Color of the ocean is so beautiful here!

Thor's Well is a must see any time you are driving by. A repeat visit for sure. Easily accessible- the hardest part is finding parking as it fills up fast. Paved walkways with multiple paths to access locations. No signs or rails preventing you from walking directly onto the rocks. Many people do and it's worth a closer peek but be very aware of the waves. It can burst up over 20 feet and surrounding areas. Spouting Horn is to the left, facing the Pacific Ocean, and is a violent sight. The waves crash into the rock and are forced through a tunnel and forced out in an abrupt spray through a slit in the volcanic rock. Great stop whether it's 5 minutes or 50.

Amazing!! Must do! I was worried about not going at the right time but I went about an hour AFTER High Tide. It was the perfect time! It was so beautiful and the hike down was super easy! The sun was shining which made it even better!
