18 Best Bars in Amsterdam | Condé Nast Traveler

"De Drie Fleschjes has been around since 1650, Amsterdam's Golden Age, making it the oldest tasting room in the city. The barrels, on-display right in the bar, affirm that Old World feeling. Standouts include the traditional jenevers, like Corenwyn from Lucas Bols, but the menu also includes other spirits and beer." - Meredith Bethune

This place was a really nice bar/cafe. It had a traditional type feeling in there. Seemed like the place where locals go. The atmosphere was great, surrounded by an antique decor. The wheat beers we were drinking by were lovely. I would visit here again.

Lovely little bar with a great atmosphere and traditional feel. It was a pleasent breath of fresh air as a tourist. Going to a lot of bars that can be crazy and loud in Amsterdam I found this bar the perfect speed for a mid day drink. Staff were friendly and so were the other patrons. I came here because I know Anthony Bourdain did many years ago and I fell in love with it myself. Love to come back here one day!

This is definitely a place worth going to. For some reason I was expecting this to be like a cocktail bar experience but that could not have been further from the truth. The bartender, Johannes, serves genever in a traditional way and is more than willing to educate along the way. The patio is interesting in an idiosyncratic sort of way. Definitely an experience!

Simply an amazing place! We went all 3 days we were in Amsterdam (and 2x on one day). Had *great* experiences overall with one exception that was surprisingly bad out of four visits. (One server was terribly nasty & dismissive...very bad for the business. If you get this guy just step away and try again to any of the other lovely staff). Wonderful genevers and corynwyn and so many to try! Popular place so be prepared. 100% worth a visit if you appreciate whisky or "English" gin.

Beautiful hidden spot in a quiet place, I loved how they kept the decorations and the vibe of centuries ago, and the history behind the barrels. Great customer service. Highly recommend.n

This is the best bar in the entire world. I visit De Drie Fleschjes several times whenever I visit Amsterdam. I have been going there for over 10 years.

Lovely cosy atmosphere with amazing service. Great spot for a drink and snack. We had a few drinks (cocktails in little shot-sized glasses and beer) and some of the dried sausage - it was a great start to our evening.
