About three years ago I bought a 34 gal. aquarium with stand from this business that cost more than $200. I'd thrown a lot of business their way before that time and since. Three months ago my silver angel fish spawned and I started hatching brine shrimp so I could raise and nurture the angel fish fry, which I did for three months. I had dozens of happy, healthy, vibrant, quarter sized angel fish. So on Mon., June 20th, 2022, I called this business and asked them if they might want some of my beautiful, HEALTHY baby silver angel fish, and they asked me to bring them in so they could see them. Upon seeing them, they readily accepted 20. I told them all I wanted in exchange was a ten gallon aquarium. They didn't have any in stock so they gave me a credit slip and kept the fish. Today, Wed., June 22, 2022, I called to see if they'd gotten the aquariums in, and the owner of this business got on the phone and started yelling at me because, she claims, the fish I GAVE THEM are sick, and she claims 3 of them have died already. Keep in mind, the fish hadn't COST her ANYTHING yet, and she's already screaming at a good customer and someone who is trying to help her and her business be a success. Well, I had a credit slip, so they had to make good on my 10 gal. aquarium. But the fish were healthy when they took them in, and whatever made the poor things sick was their doing. I didn't raise these baby fish from eggs for three months just to make them sick, then sucker some fish store into taking them in, and in exchange for nothing more than a ten gallon aquarium which they sell for $30 RETAIL cost. They could have made $300 off of the fish I practically GAVE to them, but instead, as I type this, some of them have already died and the store owners are over there trying to keep the rest of them alive. I had hoped they would be purchased and taken home by people who would have loved and nurtured them the way I did, people with EMPATHY like I have for animals, and that they would have all had great lives. Instead I give them to a store that's in the business of selling tropical fish, but they made them sick and are over there killing the rest of them, even as I type this. The woman who owns the business and who screamed at me over the phone told me she doesn't want to do business with me any more. No problem. You lost a good customer, and what could have been a sweet business arrangement for you. Go ahead and BLOW it by killing my fish, blaming it on me, screaming at me, and throwing me out. All that expressed, I still have to wish this business luck. They're going to need it. Not screaming at regular customers over the phone about something that hasn't COST YOU ANYTHING would surely help. Even if you kill ALL of my fish, what did it cost you? The five bucks (or less) wholesale you paid for the aquarium (and hundreds of dollars in business you could have made from me). So, again...GOOD LUCK. (As for the credit slip for the ten gallon aquarium, I had to insist that they give me that credit slip, and it's a good thing I didn't leave their store without it. They would have killed my fish and never made good with their part of the deal. They expected me to trust them. Now I know I can't.)
