On the Grid : Three Williams

"Being conveniently located next door to the studio, we've really lucked out with this one. Great coffee, tasty food and relatively wallet friendly. Big ticks all round! These guys serve all your go-to breakfast and lunch staples, but the real star of the show is their signature Narnies, which are a different take on the humble sandwich and come wrapped in homemade flatbread (think Indian Naan). There's a trio of fillings to choose from, but the pick of the bunch is the duck narnie." - lowercase

The foods decoration is good but the taste is really bad... I ordered Pankcake, French Taost, Avo and Burger. All looks just looks delicious but taste very bad. We all could not finish the foods and just left over. Staff service not friendly and the cafe bathroom is also hm.... no words to say. Coffee is good. Overall, I don't want to recommend this place.

I had a pancake and chicken burger. Chicken burger was good but not surprisingly good. The pancake is good for photo but taste boring. It is presentation nice but tasteless. Coudnt finish it.

Ordered: 1. Crispy prawn linguine 2. Mushroom croque monsieur 3. Iced chocolate There was no queue, and the cafe was quite spacious with plenty of seating. The service was okay. I highly recommend their crispy prawn linguine! It was delicious and flavorful, with fresh prawns that were perfectly cooked. The mushroom croque monsieur was just okay. The cheese inside was stretchy, but I think it would be better if they improved the texture and seasoning. The iced chocolate was good, especially if you prefer a lighter, thinner version (it’s not heavy or thick).

Have been here a few times so thought I would take the time to do a review. Firstly the coffee here is lovely, really well done. In terms of the food, it’s pretty solid. I think it used to be better and it was a lot more wow but nowadays they are still serving the classics and they have a few signatures. The dish I got today was yum, fried egg was good, and the mushrooms are so delicious, the mustard is a great enhancement to the dish. The place is really pretty with the fairy lights. They do do a weekend surcharge though

Three Williams Café is an absolute gem! Their matcha pancakes are an unforgettable treat—the matcha sauce is perfection, with a rich, authentic flavor that’s downright addictive. Every bite is pure bliss! Their juice drinks are just as impressive—fresh, flavorful, and the perfect complement to their amazing food. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make the whole experience even better. If you’re a matcha lover or just looking for a fantastic café, this place is a must-visit!

Google
Quite disappointed cause food started off strong with my chicken and waffles. Nice crunch on the outside while waffles still fluffy, maple syrup poured to my liking, chicken fried well and not dry and good amount of avocado. Latte was good, loved the iced matcha as it had great flavour and was green enough without being bitter. The duck pasta was so disappointing. $33 + 10% weekend surcharge and there was almost 2 small slices of duck. I had to search through the pasta to see if it was hiding somewhere. The duck was not hidden, it was non-existent. I was so close to giving this place a 5⭐️ if the duck pasta had more duck. The taste of the pasta was fine but nothing extraordinary. When I saw people's prawn pasta, I saw there were three prawns at least. So where was the duck in our pasta? Weekends incur 10% surcharge to the bill. I feel a little robbed in this case

Google
This cafe has such aesthetic underground vibes with the wooden elements and warm lights on the wall and ceiling. Creates such a cozy mood! I also got to try their new menu which was pretty bomb. They change their seasonal menus every few months so there's always something new to try! The salad and french toast was my fave! What was surprising was how good the chips were. My god they were thick and crunchy and soft inside. I could eat them all day.

Yelp
The truffle menu is no joke! Highly recommend trying out Three Williams if you are a truffle fanatic. I will need to go back for their regular in-house menu. As a Canadian in Sydney, this is on my top 5 brunch spots.

Yelp
Loved this spot for a relaxed breakfast before exploring Sydney by foot. It's pretty big, a bit dark, tables all around, and has an espresso bar right in the middle. You can just get coffee to go, but it's a shame not to stay for breakfast! I ordered a cappuccino to drink which was both beautiful and so delicious! One of the best I've had. To eat I had the avocado toast because apparently Aussies invented it...who knew? It was also delicious. I guess it's hard to mess up avocado toast, but the bread was incredible, avocado was perfectly ripe, and I got to assemble it all myself which was fun. Someone next to me was eating some kind of French toast with berries that I will have to try next time. The whole menu sounded amazing. Super friendly servers to boot. Oh and you pay up front at the espresso bar. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Not what I originally expected, the space is quite large and buzzing. Pretty sure there will always be a line here on the weekend, but I suppose it is the place to be in Redfern. Got a DIY dish because they're not flexible with changes on the weekend. I was actually quite surprised with the small portions because my friend had always instilled in me they serve really large, hearty portions. Had to order on top after it came out because it was disappointingly small. Overall it seemed like relatively standard café food to me but the beans were excellent. Would recommend you try them in a dish or even get them on the side. Constant stream of customers coming in so keeps the place alive, but they also don't hurry you too much to get out so it was a good place to chat for a while.

Yelp
So on the way to carriageworks for the contemporary art fair, we decided to stop for lunch at three Williams. Best idea. There were a few tables available at 12.15pm on a Saturday - beware that it is a basement so you won't enjoy the sunshine/ light but the space is still quite nice. Service is so friendly, quick and efficient - love that. Oh my god the narnies (15$)...what a beautiful creation ! I had the slow cooked lamb with eggplants and yoghurt. The bread is moist, the lamb and eggplant were perfectly cooked, melting in my mouth...perfect cumin seasoning and fresh rocket for greens. It is absolutely a must try ! The breakfast menu looked really appealing too, notably the french toast if you have a sweet tooth

Yelp
First To Review, boom shacka lacka! Ahem. Sorry, that little blue ribbon still gets me excited. In the pants. Ugh, sorry again. I also like Anchorman. Pants party and such, you remember. So this review is off to a terrible start but don't worry, it gets heaps better. See, I was at a friend's for dinner last night and his new girlfriend told me about this ace cafe her friends just opened and showed me some photos of the food she'd eaten that day and I was sold, and was there the next morning. Right between the furniture warehouse and the pole dance studio on Elizabeth St, just past Cleveland St, Three Williams is named after the three founders of Redfern and surrounds, who were all called William (I think I got that right. Which means I probably didn't). The space is this big post-industrial exposed-brick modern-yet-spacious-yet-welcoming cafe, and the food is epic: 'narnie' sandwiches using home made naans, inventive breakfasts, big salads. I had The Merchant: a brekky burger with chilli fried egg, bacon, spicy slaw and ranch on a sweet brioche bun. Sweet baby jeebus. Paired with a smoky strong flat white and some friendly service by dimpled, laid-back waitresses, and we got ourselves a brand new brekky haunt kidlets. Tally ho!
google avatar

Naomi B.

Yelp
Umm have you heard of a Narnie? I like to think that it was named that because something so great could only come from a mystical land like Narnia, whatever the origin...YOU MUST TRY ONE. It is a naan sandwich and the brisket one even comes with chipotle mayo...so just to let that percolate that is delicious naan surrounding tender brisket with savoury creamy chipotle mayo and crisp pickle slices....genius...and I don't just throw that word around for fun! Hungover, sober, hungry....all reasons to try a Narnie. I really like the beef brisket Narnie but really you can't go wrong. One time my housemate and I realised that it was almost cut off time when Three Williams stops serving nannies, AKA sadness o'clock, so we placed an order over the phone and they let us do that which I thought was excellent customer service.

Yelp
BF and I walked into this place and immediately spied the best table in the house- tucked away into a corner with a cushioned bench seat. A waiter made eye contact with us, and gestured toward the table with a grand flourish. Coming over to us with menus, he conspiratorially whispered, "Best seats in the house." Thus began our love affair with the Three Williams. At least one William of the Three who run this place has clearly been in the hospitality industry for a long time. First of all, they've actually got a hostess whose express purpose is to guide patrons to their table. They also have a veritable army of extremely capable and friendly staff members, so the service is speedy and cheerful. It's in a spacious, warehouse-y feeling underground space, encased in polished concrete to keep you nice and cool, with tables that are arranged so that you're not directly on top of the diners next to you. Fab coffee, fresh juice was a nice big serving, and the food... man oh man was that Merchant roll, already having been deliciously deconstructed by our very own fearless leader Benny B., ever awesome... all pickles and soft bun and runny yolk and salty bacon and more pickles... I never wanted it to end. BF's prawn "narnie"- made with house-crafted griddled naan bread- came with 5 juicy marinated grilled prawns, creamy aioli, crispy iceburg lettuce and a mountain of guacamole and sweet corn. Be warned: it's a messy work of edible art. He also ordered fish croquettes which he loved that came served in a cardboard egg crate- v cute preso. The worst part of our experience was leaving our awesome, cozy, comfy corner seats to go up and resist impulsively buying some freshly iced donuts cleverly positioned next to the cash register whilst paying our bill. At $42.50 for a coffee, juice, 2 fish croquettes, and 2 sandwiches, it's not cheap. But with that spacious venue, all of those staff members ensuring an enjoyable experience and the quality of the food served, I'd pay it any day. Like tomorrow. And the day after that.

Yelp
Surprisingly no waiting time over here, I went on two different occasions for breakfast on a Saturday and Sunday. Saturday had a queue but well managed by a dedicated member of staff at the door. The Sunday on the other hand was pretty empty not even half-filled. None of that communal table business and bar seating here. Yes, you can have your own table. I don't know if some people actually enjoy those sharing huge tables but certainly don't. THE MERCHANT $13 Well prepared ingredients, classic bacon and egg roll but of course improved with a slight kick from the chilli and acidity and crunch of the slaw, all of that encased in a fresh brioche bun. BIG WILLIAM $18 Bacon, fried eggs, Nuremberg sausage, Roma tomato, hash, onion relish Almost the typical big breakfast, it was done to a high standard. The unique selling point here is the onion relish which is absolutely divine with the sweetness of the tomatoes. Big William is there to hit the spot and fill you up... SIGNATURE HOUSE MADE NARNIE $15 This one is a dilemma and I'll tell you why. All the elements are well excuted. Lots of textures but flavour-wise it was too simple and lacked moisture. If we go back to the origins of the naan, it is at its most delicious when dipped or even soaked in curry. Here the narnie was so dry in the mouth, the roast beef despite being very tender did add texture but lacked flavour and sauce. All those factor just made each bite so dry. FISH CROQUETTES, LEMON AIOLI $6 More potato than fish, very nice comfort food. BEER BATTERED CHIPS WITH HOUSE AIOLI $7 Chips were one of the best I ate all year, very crispy with a light aerated batter. Excellent and very addictive as they should be. PEANUT CARAMEL SHAKE $6 This shake is very good, the peanut taste is distinct with the caramel giving that sweetness kick. The most surprising thing is the size of the cup, at $6 only it can easily be shared by two people. BANANA, MEDIJOOL DATE AND WALNUT PRALINE SMOOTHIE $7 For the banana-lovers out there, this is a must. I would return just for this and the chips. Strong and natural tasting smoothie, great with the extra sweetness coming from the dates and extra thickness from the praline. Although I still prefer the Banana shake from Devon Cafe. Conclusion Do you want a high quality brekky/brunch with the luxury of your own table, you might want to give Three Williams a try. I still have to try the French Toast and Salads but overall strong menu that can please everyone and consistent execution makes this place worth revisiting for me. Just not a fan their "narnie" creation. @thesydneynoob

Yelp
"Would you like to order coffee first?" Asked the wait staff, I said yes please , single origin picollo 1 sugar. Where's the been from I asked? Let me checked! Then he comeback with barista showing Santa Special Creation blend , and I was taking advantage to take a picture right away, it was cool idea! I did order French brioche with berries and maple bacon, well it was rich.. I couldn't even finished my breaky. I would say this hipster place is doing great job on what they do! I would definitely comeback for some breakfast, and would like to try lunch menu

Yelp
I was here for a Yelp Elite event. Three Williams café has some funky and unique breakfast choices. Coffee was very good, and the smoothies others had looked tasty. It was a busy, but not too crowded, basement-level space, perfect for an event for the 15-ish of us, and the kind of place that's suitable for lingering if you're on your own. The food: delicious and interesting. There were two dishes to sample: narnies and French toast. A "narnie" is, as it turns out, naan bread wrapped around different fillings. We tried three: prawn and hummus (okay), pork bi bim bap (delicious), and beef brisket with coleslaw (also delicious). If you like a savoury breakfast these are amazing choices. You may think that French toast doesn't need explaining, but it does. Because this French toast was not only soft, plump, and flavourful, it was also breaded in corn flakes, pan-fried, and served with yogurt, fresh berries, maple syrup, and toasted pecans. It had all the gooey yumminess of French toast but with that crunchy outer crust, and the caramel tastes from the toasted nuts. It was decadent and fantastic for those who like to start their day with sweetness. Go here for thoughtful, well-crafted gourmet breakfast options you'll want to linger over.

Yelp
So I've been meaning to come to this cafe for a while. And now I regret to coming here earlier. This place is great! A little bit hipster, but now a days everything is. I personally came to try the coffee. As I love Single Origin, I knew this place would have good coffee - and yes you can guess it did. I actually had 3 cups here and all were good! Then I decided to stay for the food. And seriously worth it. Everything that was ordered was amazing! But the cherry on top of the cake is the staff - seriously friendly and attentive. Recently places that are 'popular' have a snobbish attitude. I can't stand when they act as we should be thanking them for eating there. This place is not like this, which is refreshing. Ok rant over. The other thing, and this is going to sound weird, is the music. They had really cool music. I know that's weird, because who notices the music? But that's the point. The music was so good that I noticed it. So if you are Redfern, drop by. Trust me. It's worth it.

Yelp
Dope. This place is DOPE! Outfitted in a warehouse conversion, this place is bustling on the weekends...in a good way. There's plenty of space so the ambience is real cool. Service is great, everyone was super friendly and everything came quickly. I ordered the Bullhorn (I don't even like feta) and my friend ordered the Merchant. I like that they some of the menu items are standard in other places but they put their own spin on them. However, there are these fusion naan sandwiches (which I haven't seen elsewhere) that I am putting on my to eat list. The coffee was on point and props to the barista for the latte art. The menu here is extensive enough that I will definitely be coming back to try the other stuff. Gourmet brekkie done right.

Yelp
This was our first meal in Sydney after traveling for 18 hours and it really hit the spot! Really cute cafe/restaurant and staff were super friendly and attentive. I had the chicken & quinoa salad and my boyfriend had the cheeseburger, both were delicious. The fried brussel sprouts in the salad was the winner for me! I also had a long black and it was strong & bold, just the way I like it!

Yelp
*Came for the coffee and stayed for lunch* On my short list of cafes to try I get to tick it off and recommend away. Having no preconceived ideas about this place going in, I was surprised by the popularity of this cafe on a seemingly quiet end of Elizabeth Street. Being that they are another cafe using Single Origin Roasters coffee, I expected to get a decent coffee, and that's exactly what I got. While the waitress wasn't sure what coffee was their single origin, she quickly found out (and provided awesome service throughout my stay). The Costa Rica long black I ended up ordering was delicious. Quite a bright robust coffee, with hints of fruit and maybe a milk chocolate, it served its purpose well. I then tried the house blend, they use "Paradox" which worked well as a mac. I am sure those needing milk in their coffees will be happy enough. Nearly removed points for latte art in the mac, but I am feeling generous. Speaking of generous, the Korean inspired pulled pork "narnie", which is apparently their signature dish, didn't last long as I inhaled it. Pork was delicious, but could have had more kimchi in it as I couldn't taste it. Overall, I loved this cafe, and while it is a bit out of my way, I am sure I'll be back. Coffee: Single Origin Roasters - "Paradox" Passion: 8/10 Crema: 8/10

Yelp
Attended this cafe for a Yelp Elite event and was blown away by the experience. First of all this cafe isn't located amongst a lot of hustle and bustle, it's a delightful warehouse conversion on Elizabeth street in Redfern- parking was a treat this Friday morning. The single origin coffee was beautifully presented and tasted great. The food was incredible! So totally unlike other cafes around, apparently it took some time brainstorming and working out what the signature items would be! We were treated to 2 of them! A sampler of 3 narnies (homemade dough with different fillings - each unique & it would be well worth coming with a few friends so you can taste them all! I didn't think I would be eating prawns at brekkie time but they were incredible). We were then served up the signature French toast which was described as brioche in a custard egg mixture & rolled in cornflakes. It was served with maple syrup, fresh berries & toasted pecans. Now I am usually not a sweet tooth and was sure I wouldn't eat it all but my oh my after a taste I couldn't stop. To top it off the staff were exceptional throughout the whole meal, checking in with us and making sure we were satisfied. Loved the aprons too! Very well presented. This place is truly fantastic! Humble, honest, delicious & worth the visit! Hurry up and get there before it gets so popular you will have to wait hours to be seated.

Yelp
Three Williams has been on the "Talk of the Town" chart on Urbanspoon for quite some time now, and it seemed like the whole of the Sydney foodie population had eaten there already. Even though their photogenic French toast was very impressive, unfortunately, the overall experience was a hit-and-miss for us.

Yelp
I found this place after a quick search on my favourite apps for inspiration. The raving reviews got me curious and I'm very glad to say the food didn't disappoint. The coffee was good and the food was better. I had The Merchant: bacon and chili eggs in a brioche bun. It wasn't huge, just on the edge of enough but the great taste makes it more than worth it - love at the first visit :) The Merchant, scrambled eggs with tomato and feta and two coffees cost $36.

Yelp
Recommended by a friend's friend and decided to come here for brunch after church. My friend who stayed at King Cross arrived here 1/2 hour before I did but after I managed to save a parking spot, we finally got a seat for 5 pax. It was definitely crowded even though the space was considered spacious. Heard the sarnies was good and the toast as well. I tried the Sarnies and the Brioche French toast. For the sarnies, I got the beef one. It had a lot of ingredients in it. The stewed beef brisket was soft and juicy. The ingredients (gherkins) and the condiments (chipotle mayo) on it definitely added flavor to the pita bread which acted like a burger. Definitely a good brunch dish. For the drink, I had super smoothie. It was a cold pressed juice and it was definitely a refreshing juice and filling especially combining them with mains. Servers were friendly and they got to us within seconds after raising our hands (glass of water, bill, utensils, etc). Price wise, for the food portions, it was definitely reasonably good. Parking might be tough as I had to turn to the same road twice before securing a parking spot.

Yelp
When I really like a place ..... I prefer to keep it quiet so it stays hidden from the world ..... that's not the Yelp way ..... so instead I will keep it short and sweet. The experience at 3 Williams is an awesome one ..... you a treated like a friend.... the service & attention to you as a customer way above the normal....... then there is the coffee which is pure heaven ...... and the food ..... wow ....... great selection and taste ...... you will have to try it for yourself ...... don't want to spill all the beans !!!

Yelp
I feel like I stepped into a hipster wonderland, and I was okay with that. I just felt underdressed and wished I upped my brunch outfit game but oh well. Was unsure if we sat ourselves but the people at the counter sat as. The menu was to die for. Had a difficult time choosing what I wanted. Our server was great. I swear, all of the wait staff were Australian men with black hair tied up in their main buns and dressed in the same white shirts and denim overalls. Oddly enough, it completely worked. Food came in good timing. Inhaled our food. However, it took forever for us to pay our bill for some reason. We were under the impression our server would drop off the bill until 20 minutes later the same guy who sat us saw our perplexed faces and told us we could just pay up front. That would've been some helpful information/nice to know so we weren't looking dumb and wasting our time. I would definitely come back to this place to try their other options. This place feels like home.

Yelp
It was a freezing rainy Thursday, and I have always wanted to try Three Williams, with my hunger raging it was the perfect day to pop in and I wasn't disappointed. The service was great and the food was delicious. So many yummy choices, I finally opted for he pulled pork Narnie. It was packed full of flavour and tender pulled pork. I could have done with a little less dressing as it was quite sweet. I will be back to try a few other mouth watering options.

Yelp
There was no wait for a table. However I felt we waited a while to order. The brioche toast was really good. the pecans sweet and crunchy. There's enough fruit for every bite. We waited a while to receive our check.

Yelp
amazing coffee shop with great vibes and delicious food. I loved their homemade ice tea and out of everything I've tried I particularly like the avo-pea toast, it's a nice take on avo toast!

Yelp
First visit, I rated this place very highly for the customer service and food. You need to try the Maple cured bacon breakfast, which is essentially a thick pork rasher, cured like bacon in maple with a poached egg and seeded toast. Coffee is much of a muchness, but they do have beer and also a thing which is like a Peanut butter milkshake. I didnt have any trouble getting a table for 4, even though it was decidedly busy and full of inner city wankers and celebs like Michelle Bridges and her Commando BFF. ( I guess that means it's healthy too?) Second visit, I felt like I needed to pull out a copy of the work place sexual harassment guidelines. There was a lot of touchy feely action between the staff, which, at best, was kind of awkward to witness. Staff are attentive to your needs, though it became plain that this kind of efficiency, is a 'hurry up and get out' maneuver, albeit well executed that you might not realise unless you were actively assessing for yelp review purposes. Food great! Awkward sexual tension between staff not so great! Im trying to eat my porky bacon over here. Side note: Lighting is very dim. They have used Ceiling light fixtures as sconces, but that's none of my business.

Yelp
When walking down Elizabeth Street look for three dots on top of a W and you are there.

Yelp
WOW!!!! The food here was absolutely amazing and the service was matched! Gayle made us feel welcomed from the moment we sat down. I had the truffle French toast which was unreal! Others at my table enjoyed The joe and the nacho omelette. I 100% recommend eating an amazing breakfast here!!!!

Yelp
I highly recommend this place for breakfast / brunch. Food was fantastic. I had the mushrooms with egg on toast. Everything tasted really fresh. I also had a banana muffin with Nutella for desert, which was delicious. Staff was very friendly and sold me on the muffin. Great recommendation.

Yelp
I love Three Williams they have the best avocado smash and they make amazing coffees including my favourite almond milk cappuccino. Omnomnomnom
google avatar

Andrew O.

Yelp
I really don't think you can have enough Williams. Three is certainly on the stingy side. If Williams were readily available, say in a six pack, then I wouldn't need to go to Redfern to get heirloom tomatoes and Serrano ham with two beautifully poached eggs with smoked cheese sauce and avocado (which for once had not been smashed up but simply sliced) ....phew.. long sentence....and a great cup of coffee.

Yelp
4 visits later I still crave and dream about their Brisket Narnie. Really modern fit out with a nice spacious area surrounding the barristers making coffee in the middle. Concrete makes it feel really chic yet the furniture and decor make it inviting. Food is consistent and really tasty- fusion at it's best. Narnie as a vessel for fillings is genius. Yum! Worth travelling for.

Yelp
Amazing food/coffee, service and atmosphere! When I go out somewhere these are always things that matter most to me and Three Williams ticks every single one with a HUGE YES! We walked in around 9am are were friendly greeted not only by the person on the door, but by every waitstaff person that we walked past to our table. (WOW!) We were then approached swiftly with drink orders taken, the waiter was then very courteous and helpful in taking our orders after we needed a little more time. My double ristretto quickly came out with a side of sparkling water (always a plus ). It was full bodied, flavoursome and overall delicious! A perfect start! Food wasn't far behind and as expected was like everything else of extremely high quality! Poached eggs on smashed avo is what I tried this morning (also highly recommend the Merchant burger!). The smashed avo was a good balance of avo, coriander and red onion, eggs were runny and perfectly poached. A second picollo to compliment the food and the morning was complete. Around $25 total and a morning well spent. Hugh recommend to anyone who loves great food, quality service and a lovely spacious atmosphere. 5/5 we will definitely be back soon!

Yelp
Dec16 - Ordered the french toast, maple bacon blini and coffee. They were really good. This place totally deserves the ratings. There was a huge queue by the time we left! Ambience is a bit casual and a bit noisy. The Nutella Muffin wasn't available that day. Will certainly be back here!!

Yelp
Love the narnies and green super smoothies at this converted warehouse space. They also have nice little tarts and sweet goodies, great kids wall for entertainment. Only problem is that there's a line more often than not on the weekends

Yelp
Reading other reviews of three Williams, I was keen on trying the brekky menu. I'm giving it 3 stars because there were a few down falls, but I definitely would go again and try different things on the menu. We ordered the crispy polenta, which I thought had some interesting flavours which generally isn't for everyone. Roast duck narnie, you'll feel like you've died and went to heaven! So succulent, and the roasted pear was a perfect edition to the overall flavour. Corn fritters, you'll lick the plate dry! The flavours are amazing, very Spanish :) We also had the beer battered chips, best I've tasted in Sydney! Seriously! You have to order these! Pushing our belt sizes, but we just wanted to try the school of prawns (we couldn't finish it). I wouldn't order them again, nothing special. The shakes we tried were the raspberry/ coconut, was way too sour and not very coconutty! And the peanut/caramel shake, it was too milky and the flavour wasn't strong, just too sweet. So with just a few flaws, I would definitely go back! Just not for the shakes.

Yelp
Maybe I'm immune to the hipster brunch trend, but lately I'm finding that all cafes that serve up brunch are similar. Coffee was strong and bitter and my egg brioche was delicious! However my dining partner's lunch "narni" (naan bread with sandwich fillings) was just so-so. I'm thinking - no more average ordinary brunches, and saving my money for a really exciting and different brunch experience.

Yelp
Three Williams is roomy and comfortable - Which is seriously a winning point for me as all cafes these days are cramped and claustrophobic. The french toast with berries is mind-blowing though, and their narnies are very satisfying. In general, good and honest food!

Yelp
Very solid place. Coffee is constantly good and the food is usually very tasty. One note however, you need to open to healthier choices as most interesting dishes are that way. The last time, i got the spicy smashed beans toast which was very good, but again, not something I am used to eating.

Yelp
Great cafe. Spacious, friendly on point service and a large up to the minute menu. The design is light and bright but welcoming at the same time.

Yelp
Just when I thought I could be getting sick of brunch, I finally end up at Three Williams (yes I know, it took me long enough!) In a nutshell, it's a great great place. Firstly, there's ample space unlike many brunch places (though there are still queues by 1030 on a Sunday). Secondly, there is the unique inclusion of chilli on the breakfast menu (chilli fried egg, spicy salsa) which is a massive pleaser for the chilli lover within me. Thirdly, they still appreciate the value of a good fried egg (why should we all have to eat a healthy poached?!). The service is good, the coffee is good and I thoroughly enjoyed my grilled chorizo, haloumi, eggplant, spinach, fried egg, spicy salsa and sourdough stack.

Yelp
The food at this surprisingly large cafe is just great. Interesting without being so far out there that it is just difficult to eat. The perfect blend of comforting breakfast food and novel flavours. On top of that, I would thoroughly recommend the banana smoothie, served in a bottle in the style of old milk bottles. The coffee was well made and very drinkable, if not remarkable. The beans are solid, but don't have the same uniqueness that so many cafes in sydney have now, as the trend of in-house roasting grows. The only reason this place only gets 4 stars in the wait - around half an hour on a Saturday. In some places that may not be an issue, but the waiting area was a bit crowded and stuffy. And even the two takeaway coffees we ordered to have while waiting took a long time to come.

Yelp
Very happy with our first breakfast experience. Food is plentiful, full of flavour & chef quality given it was one of the best corn fitters we've had in a very long time - no stoggy, doughy fritters here. We also ordered the Chilli Merchant, another great choice, although from looking around at other's orders I don't think you could go wrong with anything from their menu. We crossed the harbour to try this spot, which has turned out to be a great choice. Three Williams is now on our favourite list...at the very top! Can't wait now to try their brisket narnie.

Yelp
Great food, great coffee and great service. I had the vegan bowl and my low expectations (based on past experiences of restaurant attempts at such a creation) were happily dashed with an abundance of perfectly melded flavors. Probably my best meal in Sydney. And the coffee was quite good as well. They have WiFi. A bit slow but available nonetheless.

Yelp
3W - yes please! There are good cafes out there but few I would eagerly return to. The Merchant, a brekky egg roll with layered flavours of sweetness, saltiness and spiciness left my palette craving for more. The Super Smoothie packed a punch of vitamins but yet very tasty.

Yelp
On a recent mini break, I frolicked from the CBD to Three Williams for brunch. The place was heaving. It was pumping full of beautiful, shiny people, but they still seated us quickly and got our soy lattes super quick. I was drooling over the breakfast menu - so much choice! - and opted for the mushrooms, with poached eggs, smashed avo and a truck load of cheese crumbled on top. First things first - the serve was huge! Could not finish it. My dining companion scored half of it. The toast was crispy, the avo had the perfect salty flavour and the pan fried mushrooms were delicious. Washed down with two soy lattes, I then had enough energy to frolic back to the CBD.

Yelp
Lived up to the hype! The food was delicious and fresh. Recommend getting there early to avoid waiting. Will be back!

Yelp
Got there on a busy Sunday lunch time and the staff were super helpful with just a quick wait. We got seated at a slightly small 3 person table, but that was quickly forgotten with the sensational lamington milk shakes! Food was a solid 4/5, with a good vibe to the place. Definitely would go back.
