I ordered the Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich and the Balsamic Brussels Sprouts, and both were fantastic! The chicken was cooked perfectly—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. I just wish there was a bit more sauce to enhance the flavors. The homemade ranch here is absolutely delicious. The Brussels sprouts were incredible—definitely a must-try, and I love that they’re available as a side option. If you’re looking for great bar food, this is the place to go! The service was fast and excellent.

Google
The Gals (waitstaff) here are superb! They are all attentive, knowledgeable, have a great memory. Some of the best customer service in town. Anytime we've ordered food we've been impressed. Recently it was their Mushroom Swiss burger w/fries and the Brussels Sprouts (bacon on the side). I like how the burger was NOT as I was expecting in the melted sense but instead a more firm Swiss and mushrooms. I love that lettuce and tomato comes on the burger. It was all delicious! And again, I cannot say enough about the waitstaff, they're awesome. Go see for yourself.

Google
I used to love this restaurant but my last visit will likely be my last visit. They made changes to the food like adding gold fish crackers to the chili mac, burgers are bland, tables dirty and sticky, only 2 bartenders working Sunday afternoon so it took 20 minutes just to put in a drink order. Their slogan is elevated food in a casual dining, but this was more like a cheap dive bar experience. Sad to see the fall.

Google
My wife only stopped by briefly for a quick drink before our dinner date. I had the old fashioned which was great and my wife ordered the Sangria which she seemed to enjoy. We wish we would've just planned to eat dinner there because the food smelled really good. I used to frequent this place years ago and I'm glad to see it's still a friendly, great place to hang out at. We will be back for dinner soon.

Alan Gaddy

Google
I'm impartial because this place is a part of my history in Colorado, but the food is good and the place is charming, quaint, classic, perfect. Grab a beer, have some food and come with friends! Trust me, you'll love it. Crispy Brussels and French dip were fantastic. Crank Yanker IPA (probably the first draw) a tad flat but still okay.

Google
This bar/pub is a good spot for beers and a casual lunch or dinner. The atmosphere is casual and laid back. This is definitely a townie bar, not catering to tourists. The prices are moderate and the food choices are solid. It can get somewhat loud at busy times.

Chris C

Google
The atmosphere was an authentic blend of modern and saloon. The live music was just the right level, and it was relaxing! Nice date spot for a lny couple.

Google
My wife and I had dinner and a drink here on Saturday night. The experience was delightful. We shared the fish and chips and a delicious salad. Kevin Mastin was playing and got the audience engaged. The music was good and not too loud. He took requests from several people and did a great job. It was super fun!

Yelp
Went to Thunder and Buttons on a Sunday around 1230 and had no problem getting seated. It is a small bar/restaurant. Our waitress was really nice. She said there were some issues with the hood so they couldn't make anything on the grill. She came back shortly after saying everything was fine. I ordered the Korean Fried Chicken sandwich with Brussel sprouts. Everything was really good! My daughter ordered the mac n cheese and she didn't care for it much. The restaurant was kid friendly- they offered a coloring sheet with crayons. I didn't have any drinks but there was a decent sized list to choose from. Parking was easy for us on the street. When in town, I would dine here again.

Yelp
Food: I ordered the Fish and Chips. There really was just no flavor. The batter was bland. The coleslaw tasted like just cabbage and mayonnaise. The tartar sauce was NOT that. We ordered Truffle Fries but never received them. Service: Although the server was nice about not getting the Truffle Fries, she was MIA the majority of our visit. We had to ask another server for our ticket. Ambiance: Cute place, I bet it would be a better place to just have a beer. Skip the food.

Joshua R.

Yelp
Been here several times, at different days of the week and different times. Always had good service, and really good food. Drinks are always good too. The atmosphere is warm and cozy. Good for drinks and apps, or sitting down and having dinner. Go check em out when exploring Old Colorado City!

Yelp
Here with my mom and step mom! Nice place with an inviting atmosphere . Hit this spot up on vacation for a nice bday dinner for my step mom. It was a nice place with old history. They said it was haunted upstairs lol so we stayed downstairs. We enjoyed our meal and left fully satisfied. It's def a great little spot for drinks, food and socializing.

Yelp
Cozy pub setting with an eclectic variety of foods! We came mid afternoon, so there seemed to be only one or 2 people working. They were bartending, as well as serving and cleaning tables. So service was a little bit slow but the food was worth the wait. Everything on the menu sounded pretty good, but we were here to check out the burger so that we could knowledgeably vote in the burger competition. We decided to split the classic burger, which came on a brioche bun with lettuce, tomato, and onion, as well as your pick of cheese - we chose pepper jack - and fries. Then, thinking this might not be enough of a meal for two, we ordered the sesame quinoa lettuce wraps to share. Both dishes came out together and looked beautiful. The lettuce wraps were so full of quinoa and filling, they could not really be eaten as lettuce wraps until you had eaten most of the toppings. The sesame dressing on them was absolutely delicious! The burger was good, very tasty, but nothing really special. The fries were excellent, however, and we almost had a fight over who got more of them lol. The total for these two dishes +2 iced teas was a little over $39. A reasonable price for a filling lunch.

Alisah C.

Yelp
Food: We ordered a ton of food because we wanted to TRY IT ALL! This is what I had and shared with everyone: SESAME QUINOA LETTUCE WRAPS: BIBB LETTUCE CUPS FILLED WITH ORGANIC QUINOA, CABBAGE, CARROTS, TOSSED IN A SESAME PEANUT DRESSING TOPPED WITH EDAMAME AND CUCUMBER DRIZZLED WITH A SPICY AIOLI Then had: STEAK & TEQUILA LIMESHRIMP. 100Z NI STRIP TOPPED WITH TEQULA LIME SHRIMP SCAMPI SERVED WITH ROASTED GARLIC MASHED POTATOES AND FAITA VEGETABLES Lastly had: BLACK & TAN BROWNIE OCC CREAMERY VANILLA ICE CREAM DRIZZLED WITH CHOCOLATE SYRUP By far, one of the best meals I've ever had! The starter was so light and so fresh! My main entree was cooked perfectly and seasoned well! And the dessert was top 3 I've ever had! Service: The service here was definitely top 3 I've ever experienced. All the staff is so friendly and so accommodating. Our server Susan was absolutely the best server I've experienced in a long time. She was so personable and so accomodating. She went out of her way multiple ways to accomodate both of our tables. She also gave the best food recommendations Ambiance: It was perfect for what we came for! They have 2 levels! The first level was a bar/restaurant and had seating to accommodate our large party! We were looking to watch the basketball game and got a booth right across the TV so it was perfect! Then the upstairs was for 21+ with pool tables and more bar seating. They also had Kareoke the day we came! Which was kinda cool! Overall: 100000000/10 I would absolutely recommend this gem to all my family and friends! From the tasty food, to the impeccable service and not to the mention the lively and fun ambiance!

Yelp
Pretzel fire Fries fire BEST MARGS!!!!!! It's a cool hang out spot and great food for the above average restaurant. This location is not fine dining, and is a local treat!

John C.

Yelp
Excellent food. Fun staff. Very popular with folks who have a range of interests. It's a perfect place for group get togethers especially families and friends. The wealth of options keeps everyone happy.

Tim T.

Yelp
Seating was available at 7:30 pm on a Friday. We were greeted immediately by a server with menus. She checked back quickly and took our drink and food orders. Fish and chips and steak frites. Drinks arrived quickly and food came quickly as well. Both plates were delicious, cooked to perfection and the portions were generous. Highly recommend.

Joanne H.

Yelp
First of all, stellar service. Second, fish and chips to rival any seafood restaurant in town. Third, yummy craft cocktails. We'll be back!

Jack Bowower S.

Yelp
I had the chili. It was pretty good. The atmosphere in this place was good. Great music and lots of tv's for sports fans. But this place gets one star for an "Employee wellness" surcharge snuck into the bill. This weird trend of passing on bogus surcharges to customers only pisses them off. If you, as a business owner, care so much about your employees, then pay them more! It's a shame because I would have tipped well for this meal, but I took the surcharge out of my bill by reducing the tip. Stop using your employees as pawns for your personal quest of gaining attention by virtue signaling!

Holly T.

Yelp
My friend and I were visiting COS and had just dropped off our bags at our AirBNB and headed to the OCC strip to find a good spot to eat for lunch. This place caught our attention so we popped in. Kinda a hole in the wall vibe but we enjoyed it. We grabbed a high top table by the bar. It was a chilly October day outside as the sun wasn't shining yet so a warm hearty lunch sounded good to me... I went with the chili mac! This hit the spot... so good and filling too... I wanted to finish it despite filling full. Friendly staff, good service, and a great location.

Mark H.

Yelp
This is my Go-To place. Relaxed atmosphere, great service, and super food. Lots of drink options.

Maria N.

Yelp
Amazing food and service! Highly recommend! Loved the Buffalo burger and buffalo melt

Cam V.

Yelp
We got to try out this place for a rehearsal dinner on a Friday night. It's an older bar and grill so it smells and looks accordingly. Some things could stand to be updated but I also acknowledge that this is part of the vibe. Bathrooms were clean and working so all good things! Onto the service...our private party of 20ish people had one server/bartender and Nina was incredible. Personable, sharp, and very accommodating even with the 6 kids that were present. She seemed unbothered by them and even offered extra cherries with Shirley Temples so she got bonus points from the kids. You could tell she was good at her job and moved around effortlessly and with ease. Food was pretty decent too. Wide selection from sandwiches, burgers, salads and pastas. For appetizers we got the nachos and calamari which were very generous on portions. The calamari in particular was the thick long strips which I've never had before at s restaurant (they're usually those small, curly pieces). They were soaked in sweet chili sauce which we enjoyed- not so much the kids. The kids all got a mixture of chicken strips or fish and chips which they all said was really good! For my dish, I got the Salmon Pasta with artichokes, spinach, and tomatoes. I asked for light sauce s d they accommodated. Salmon was cooked to perfection with perfect crush and the flavors worked well together. All in all, service was fast and food was tasty!

Yelp
Wednesday afternoon 1:00. Burger and fries took 45 minutes to arrive. Awful service - fair at best food.

Gayle D.

Yelp
Food was delicious, service was great and the drinks were awesome. Live music was an added bonus

Derrick G.

Yelp
This was a good pub and restaurant. A few things on my order were incorrect but the staff quickly fixed our issues. I ordered wings, a burger and fries. The food was very good. My burger was cooked perfectly and the fries were amazing. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We ordered one drink called The Rocky Mountain mule, and the drink was excellent. I highly recommend this pub, whether you are wanting a drink, food or both.

Debbie B.

Yelp
I know new owners and new head chefs want to make their establishment special and unique to them...but why take a perfectly great neighborhood bar and grill, completely scrap the entire menu (which has some great items) and start over. One of the best places in town for fish and chips - GONE. The best burger (O'Byrne Burger) - GONE. A great wedge salad - GONE. Nothing, absolutely nothing from the original menu remains (at least in early June 2024). The chef salad I ordered was some chopped iceberg with a large handful of bagged shredded carrot, a few uncut cherry tomatoes, and 1 hard boiled egg. It was large, but totally underwhelming. No longer is T&B my favorite go to neighborhood bar and grill...they may survive the summer with tourist traffic, but good luck this winter when you rely on locals. As a side note, the servers were (as usual) exceptional and I give them 5 stars!

Ambra C.

Yelp
Such a great spot! Wonderful place to go for a snack and a drink. Came across this place during my recent visit.

Debbie B.

Yelp
This USED to be my go to favorite neighborhood bar and grill. If I was craving a burger, the O'Byrne Burger is what I craved. Their wedge salad was one of the best in town. But now, under new owners, new head chef, and a totally new menu, nothing was calling to me. I ordered the T&B chef salad...I should have read the ingredients...nothing more than a large iceberg salad with a hard boiled egg and a huge handful of shredded carrots - so disappointing. A person in my party ordered the southwest Caesar -she said it was good, another ordered the pretzel - it was huge, but the tiny serving of beer cheese only satisfied about a quarter of the pretzel. As usual, the wait staff was wonderful - and apologetic that my favorites were no longer offered. Sorry to say, it is no longer on my list of restaurants in OCC.

Michelle W.

Yelp
Traveling for work in the area and stopped by for a quick bite. It's a casual spot with good food. It's just as their website describes "An Elevated Menu In A Casual Atmosphere!" I was curious about the elk chili and my waitress let me try some and it was some of the best chili I've had. Great flavor and just right seasoning. I ordered the half order of nachos which do have the chili on them. The toppings were typical for nachos and the tortilla chips were fresh, crispy, and light. Also, I'm glad I did the half order because I couldn't even finish it all. I could only imagine the size of the full order! I'll definitely be back when I'm in town next.

Yelp
This place decided to host Deaf Night out. We had one hearing singer willing to do two different signers. When the second signer was ready the DJ person was saying because she already sang once she couldn't sing again. Talk about inequitable! Wow! There was a singer who sang three different songs that night who was not limited at all. She the bartender wrote "Hope it was a good night" it was actually a crappy night being discriminated against like that. We will never come here again. Promotes only able bodies and looks down and discriminates against other wise! Wow just wow!

Lynda B.

Yelp
Hubby and I are addicted to Taco Tuesday here. Each week is a different meat. They have ground beef, shredded pork or chicken. The sauce, Cajun remoulade, is what makes these tacos stand out. Friendly staff and very clean. Kudos to the chef!

T C.

Yelp
Really lovely place! We were only there for a round and an appetizer. I'm so glad we chose the fried pickles!

L R.

Yelp
We came with a pretty large group and no one had been here before. We had a variety of dishes and everyone enjoyed what they had. The service was good, too.

Sarah V.

Yelp
The quinoa lettuce wraps are absolutely wonderful! Especially with grilled chicken. The hamburger too is fantastic--perfect skin-on fries. Service super friendly and knowledgable, obviously communicates with the kitchen as well as they do with the customers. General ambience is fine. But beware karaoke and sports, both of which are not so fun to listen to. My favorite place to eat in town nonetheless.

Mary K.

Yelp
Prime Rib Special We came in on Wednesday for the prime rib special. Sooooo good!! Perfectly cooked and seasoned. With incredible mashed potatoes. A great server. And live music (a lil' loud) Well done T&B!!

Wiley K.

Yelp
Had a Saturday lunch here a few weeks ago. The food & service were good & I enjoyed the shady outdoor seating in this location.

Christy P.

Yelp
We saw this restaurant as we were roaming through Old Colorado City. We decided to try it and it did not disappoint! The bartenders and servers were very friendly. I had an AMAZING grapefruit mule and my husband had a raspberry (I think) margarita that he loved as well. The food was also excellent. I had the Buffalo burger. It comes with bacon and an over easy egg that was cooked perfectly. Soooo good! My husband had the elk brat and he said it was very flavorful with a slight kick! He loved it too! Overall, an excellent experience and would definitely recommend.

Jessica T.

Yelp
Great food, great service! This is a regular spot for our family. We go for lunch, dinner, happy hour and even late night dancing!! What else can ya ask for?

Aaron R.

Yelp
It was Amazing our waiter was nice and the food was great. This was my first ever time I've been in Pikes Peek and this one caught my eye and luckily it did. The Atmosphereust walking in there was mind blowing.

Amanda K.

Yelp
Fast service from the moment we walked in the door. This place is hopping. Our server had drinks - iced tea and a killer chili cider from the tap - in less than 3 min and orders in within 5. WOW! The food came out hot and super fast. The fish and chips are wonderful. Crispy fish and crispy fries. How fantastic. Thanks for a great dining experience.

Vicky F.

Yelp
WOW! The food menu was great! DONT SKIP the buffalo patty melt! Hands down the best burger Ive ever had and the gluten free bun was fantastic. Make sure to check out your stairs (full bar and full menu) for Karaoke. It was a blast. Great mix of all ages and all types. Chill but fun vibe! In Old Colorado City.

Cheryl W.

Yelp
I came here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch and had the elk sausage sandwich. That was quite tasty. Do not pass up on this if you love giardiniera. I got my sandwich with sautéed veggies and they were delicious too. I love sitting outside here and people watching.

Emily G.

Yelp
We came in at 2pm for lunch on a Friday. It said seat yourself. We picked a booth, there were about five other groups there. Then we waited. No one came to our table. We got up and got our own menus. No one came to our table. We waited and waited. Staff cleared tables around us and never stopped at our table. Another table sat themselves and got drinks and put in an order. After 20 min with absolutely no acknowledgement of our presence, we left. So disappointed because it really smelled good.

Rick V.

Yelp
First time here' 2 In for dinner on a Monday at 7:30pm. Ordered: Hot Chicken & Bacon Salad $16.00. Shrimp Salad $16.00 Both salads and service were good. Will go back.

Abbie W.

Yelp
Wow wow wow, I was looking for fish and chips all day and I finally found them. They were the best fish and chips I've had in a VERY long minute. I don't eat coleslaw unless It's my Mema's, but I ate this coleslaw... Great staff and atmosphere too. 100 percent recommend!!

Lori B.

Yelp
I was so impressed that i wanted to write a review! We went there for my sons Graduation Dinner celebration and the Manager Krista was beyond nice and happy to help me make it happen and she did!! We had 14 people and they had to rearrange tables and move things around so that we could all sit together and it worked out perfect and they didn't have to do that because they were plenty busy and they were happy to help! So thank you to Krista and the waitress who gave us excellent service along with everyone else working that evening! Its in a charming part of COS and a cute place and the food was great!! I highly recommend this place and I dont usually but I felt this is the best way to show my appreciation and I appreciate when people give honest reviews to help others by giving a real description on what type of place it is instead of just choosing by a picture! Also it was nice to not have it be a formal atmosphere we did not want that it was very casual but with great service and standards and quality food, and clean!

Andrew M.

Yelp
Had a great time here on our way up to the mountains. Great local Colorado vibe. Great food. We will be coming back.

Tammy A.

Yelp
Great service and meal. Been in Town 3 days and this was the best meal we have had. The Tacos on taco Tuesday were fabulous for 3$ each! The burgers were great too! Lindsey was super welcoming and nice. You can tell she loves her job and is perfect at it! We will be back next time we visit OCC. Thank you Thunder and Buttons! Nice work!

Nancy H.

Yelp
I would give this place a five based on the servers and the taste of the food. But the building was so cold, I froze the whole time I was here and our food arrived a llittle cold on top. Otherwise, excellent food. The elk chili had a slight sweet taste to it, and just the right amount of kick to make it tasty. Hubby got the Schnitzel Poutine. He thoroughly enjoyed it! The dish was made of cooked pork strips that were then breaded with Panko breadcrumbs and fried. The portion was very generous, and it was served on a bed of french fries that were sprinkle generously with cheese. Our main server was Katie, but Chelsea helped. We saw Katie the most, and she was a hoot to chat with. !We found out thar everybody watches all the tables, steps in when they see a need. They feel like they all work together as a team so well, they pull their tips and enjoy your generosity equally. At the bar, their well drinks are normally five dollars, but four dollars during happy hour, along with other drink choices. They serve a generous pour and have lots of drink specialties, including a number of Mule variations. All in all, a very good restaurant that I look forward to going to again!!

LaVerne B.

Yelp
I do not know how this restaurant has a 5.0 in ratings. I ordered a $16 pretzel and a ginger ale last night. The pretzel came and it was hard as a rock and the ginger ale was missing from the order. The cook apparently reheated an old pretzel. Slop. I threw it in the trash.

Lauren S.

Yelp
We stopped in because of the variety of the menu but it turned out to be a 4 hour visit. The food was delicious and the drinks were amazing. The ambiance of the restaurant with the throwback music was a lot of fun. Unbeknownst to us, the upstairs hosts one of the best karaoke locations in CO Springs which was a lot of fun to sit in on. And be sure to check out the little notes in the brick wall!

SlammerDad ..

Yelp
Do they still have an undisclosed surcharge? I used to go every other week, or every week I was in COS. I didn't like the surcharge that showed up on the bill. I emailed them and it was pretty much telling me to deal with it. Food is good. They lost at least $1K on me so far. Let us know when you stop jacking up the bill.

Honest B.

Yelp
Didn't know they had Feminist happy hour. If you like watching women's basketball on the biggest screen they've got, and being served by women who don't like men to begin with, well this just might be the place for you. But it makes for an unusual atmosphere. Food was good tho.

Stacie G.

Yelp
The service was great and the happy hour prices were great, too. Wine selection was poor. Vibe was casual and comfortable. Not busy. We ordered a turkey sandwich, cup of elk chili, chili fries, side salad, and calamari. Everything tasted good, but unfortunately we both got sick (gastrointestinal) within an hour of eating. We think we narrowed the problem down to the calamari since that is the only thing we shared. Will not go back.

Emily C.

Yelp
Great beer, great atmosphere, and good food. The fried pickles were great. The nachos were a bit underwhelming; I think it was the elk chili that didn't quite work out on them. Excellent burgers and fries though. Highly recommend stopping by for a visit.

Frances H.

Yelp
Food was good but they tack on a extra 5% on all orders . It's on top of sales tax and call it " living wage". Another ploy by owners to get a little more out of patrons. I'll go a cross the street.
