Thunderbird Park

We had a great time up at Thunderbird Park. As a family, we did the Geode Fossicking. It was fairly priced for what it was, a bit of fun, but my kids found it very hard work. They were given bouts of motivation when they found something cool though. Take your swimmers as the creek was really nice to cool off in on a hot day. We had lunch there aswell, which was on the higher priced side, but as a tourist destination its to be expected. The service we received from any of the staff there though was awesome. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Can't wait to go back for other activities or even to camp.

Visited for just the day. This was our 3rd visit and have noticed a drop in service. Very disorganised at the mine site check in. Now getting more expensive to go. Big plus was the Cafe service, quick and efficient even with the busy day. Food selection was normal fare but well prepared and tasty. You have to eat in the Cafe as they discourage you from bringing food as there is no picnic tables or BBQ areas.

Great getaway and camping ground. Facilities good and clean. Thunderbird park has many different adventures from tree top challange to thunder egg fossicking or take a dip in one of many crystal clear very refreshing rock pools some with running water falls . Fantastic spot to spend a few nights under the stars. They also have a restaurant, rooms and glamping facilities.

Overall the park is great! Beautiful and very peaceful. We went for a work conference here and did the high ropes course, this was very challenging and exciting. The rooms were lovely, just a bit older. The service from the restaurant staff was the only thing I could say needs improvement, it's quite slow and staff are not very friendly, felt like a burden asking for a coffee, which also took very long. Regardless this won't deter me from going again to do the activities or stay.

We took our 3 year old Grandson to Dig It. We had a lovely time on the mountain. With the little one in tow, 1 activity was enough. Cost was very reasonable for the time. We had a nice but expensive snack. Decent shoes is a must as paths are dirt.

Good exhausting day out. Did the Tree Top Challenge and that's what it was. Had a good time. Gear was in good condition. Hair nets provided. Guides were friendly and helpful. Toilets...need some work. Not for the couch potato;-)

An amazing park for the family. Not overcrowded and plenty of activities to do. Unfortunately we found all the activities to be quite overpriced though. Bird feeding is NOT what it’s made out to be in pics or by influencers. The young staff at the Jnr Treetops were all very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend spending the day there (with pockets full).

Stayed a couple of nights in Frog Lodge as part of a wedding group — peaceful, scenic, and beautifully designed up on the hillside near the pickleball court. Staff were lovely and helpful, and the breakfast buffet was next level! After many average hotel buffets over the years, this one really stood out — fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. Thank you for an awesome experience!

Went for dinner last night, after waiting quite a while for a seat in the restaurant we were told that the restaurant was closed and to go outside to the kiosk. When we got to the kiosk it was shut and the signage directed us back to where we had come from. When we finally got a staff member to serve us we were told that they may not be cooking as there was a big group staying and they were feeding them. We sat and waited and thankfully we didn't have to clean our own table as the sign beside the bucket of water and chux cloth suggested we do. We eventually got to order and the pizza took ages and was bloody awful, the cardboard box probably would have tasted better. It rather ruined our night out.

Prices are very expensive, the park is run down. You get the feeling the only customer service given is so they can rip you off. Very disappointing
