Driving Thailand's Mae Hong Son Loop on a Motorbike Was One of the Best Things I Did in the Country
"A seasonal natural spectacle occurring between mid-November and early December: rolling hillsides “carpeted in wild sunflowers,” recommended as a timed detour for those driving the loop during bloom season." - Meagan Drillinger

It's a seasonal pla e for the flowers. I went to early. The views are great with the clouds wrapping around the peaks. Nice place

During the sunflower bloom, November into December, the fields are awash with flowers. It can be very crowded during this time, particularly on weekends. There is no entry fee and just driving through is amazing. Parking a car can be difficult. During the off-season the hills are still a nice scene but not the same.

i went around 2 pm and the sky was a bit dark. Sadly i didn’t have time to wait until sunset but i bet it will even more beautiful
Do check the weather.. i think the best time would be on November when all the flowers bloom

Beautiful spot, very busy. Windy road with lots of hills, make sure to have car that can handle the grades as the one we rented was questionable at best. The flowers are amazing, very beautiful. would recommend. We visited November 21, 2023

Really beautiful spot. Great place to watch the sunset. Some food options though I didn't try any.
The flowers are very beautiful and the view is spectacular. The roads leading up to it are nice but not that notable so on the drive up we worried we'd come all that way for a disappointing tourist trap, but honestly once we reached the fields we found it truly breathtaking.
My photos and video should say the rest.

Free to visit and the roads going up here are well paved. We were in Thailand in kid-February and the flowers are in their off season. I believe they bloom in November to December. It would have been very beautiful if we visited when the fields are filled with yellow mini sunflowers.
Nonetheless, the viewdeck offers a wonderful view of the mountains.

We were extremely lucky to do the Mae Hong Son loop in December, as it was the season of the typical local flower. The fields were full with thousands of these beautiful flowers blossoming.
What a beautiful experience this was! Many Thai tourists came to witness this.

Lucky to catch the mexican wild sunflowers bloom season during our visit.
Arrived around 9.30 am, no queue, no need for tickets, and there were guides to usher us to parking areas.
