An amazing retreat minutes from the hustle and bustling city. Free to visit, which is a huge bonus! Walking the gardens and forest was a real treat! I left feeling calm, centered, and at peace full of love and gratitude!

Peaceful and calm place to be. If you plan to visit this place , please be mindful and make sure to maintain a sense of peace & silence.
It a beautiful monastery set in calm surroundings. Please be mindful to maintain that peace.
At the time we visited the monastery , we were the only visitors. And so , it was a very serene experience for us. We paid our respects inside and took time out to sit in peace at the garden beside the monastery. You can meditate there if you like. The sound of birds and streaming water creates a sense of tranquility that makes you forget your surroundings and just compels you to submit to the calmness.
The person attending to us informed us of meditation classes on Friday mornings. We also purchased few items from the gift shop.
All in all , a very calming experience ✨️

If you come here, come prepared to feel peacefulness & warmth! I visited the temple Monday morning, and the gentleman on site was a true gem! He made me feel extremely welcomed and safe! Thank you for creating a place of tranquility & serenity. They also have meditation classes which I am excited to attend soon! I would highly suggest Thuong Hang to family and friends in search for a spiritual enlightenment!

We visited for the first time, and were blown away by the serenity and beauty of this temple. Such an unique experience - to be able to meditate with the sound of the water stream/fountains, the birds, and the beautiful chants. We were greeted and everything explained so kindly and patiently. We look forward to joining the Friday evening meditation sessions! Thank you for being so welcoming and for creating such a lovely space to connect with ourselves and nature.

Recently, I came for one of the festivals, and have been coming back ever since. This monastery is a great escape from the "hustle and bustle" of life in the metroplex. You can feel the calming and peaceful atmosphere as soon as you arrive. There is a Zen Garden, as well as multiple water fountains around the property. The staff is welcoming and friendly. Free water bottles are located in the gift shop. There are services available in both Vietnamese and English. On occasion, this monastery hosts traveling monks and nuns from around the world. Highly Recommend.

Very peaceful. Temple folks (Vietnamese I think) were very warm and welcoming. We were asked if first time visit and then given directions around the temple. Enough seating arrangements in the shed so no concerns while moving around at 1 PM. Lunch was offered complimentary. It takes little adjusting to the taste but the soup was plenty for a person and with a variety of vegetables. Adequate parking space very close to the building. Over all we spend about an hour at the place and would probably visit again.

I've been practicing many aspects I adopted of Buddhism since I was 15 (now 26) but never could figure out how to properly familiarize myself with it as a proper religion or way of life, and so I set out to find a monk and a monastery. I live far from here, but I took my grandma to visit this monastery while I was in the Dallas area. We had to drive for almost an hour (you know Dallas traffic), but it was well worth it for both of us.
Khai Thien is the name of the monk who maintains this beautiful place, hosts prayers and other gatherings in the monastery, and a quaint gift shop that I really do recommend at least poking your head in, as especially if you aren't really familiar with what Buddhism really is, he wrote a book that he carries in the shop which does a wonderful job at answering most if not all questions you could have.
The sort of guide he took us on wasn't overly involved like most places I've been that offered guides, he explained some things, when events will be, and otherwise left us to explore the gorgeous grounds and garden, and it was easy to find him when we had questions.
He's understandably passionate about what he does, and it rubbed off on us. I absolutely must come back.
