Google
Absolutely dynamite food and service. The laid back atmosphere definitely adds to the experience. This place is definitely a hidden gem!

Jenn Gray

Google
The place is beautifully decorated and our waiter was very nice. The drinks were good but the burger was burned beyond recognition. Wish we got something else

Google
Relaxing environment the moment you walk in. Great service. Food nicely prepared and presented. Very tasty! Not the usual menu. Selections for any taste. Will be back to try other items. Not an ordinary restaurant, well above and beyond average!

Brooke Stellmach

Google
Absolutely wonderful. Service was top notch. The atmosphere is relaxing. The food was delicious and presentation was tasteful. Will be back here when we visit again.

Google
It actually went over my expectations, is kind of in the middle of nowhere so I didn't really expect much from it but the food was pretty good, I had a special which was scallops and my husband had the raviolis, everything was good. The dessert was a bit too sweet for me but my husband loved it so if you are around you should give it a try

Google
Such a cute little café on mainstreet. The food was delicious and hot and brought out in a timely manner. Highly recommend.

Located in quaint downtown Weston, we stopped in for lunch and found a cozy warm table near the fireplace. We shared the Salmon Salad and bistro burger and of course Truffle fries. Highly recommend getting a meal after visiting the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum, whether or not you have read Jayne Anne Phillips’ Night Watch.

Yelp
Service and staff were very attentive and amazing. Reservation for 2 adults and child. Food and atmosphere was amazing especially the fireplace and lighting

Stephany B.

Yelp
Great service, food and atmosphere. We accidentally stumbled across this little gem and haven't stopped going back. We love the goat cheese appetizer, salmon , risotto and shrimp, burgers and we can't forget ALL of the desserts, too !

Ian M.

Yelp
Two stars for ambiance and service. Normally I wouldn't ding quite so hard on food but there was not one dish that we enjoyed. I started with a cup of the chicken soup which was very(!) bland. I salted and peppered it pretty heavily and it was just okay. My wife's black and blue burger was also very under seasoned on a thick bun. She ended up deconstructing it to make it passable. My chicken cordon bleu was just indescribably bad. The chicken patty was very tiny and very very rubbery. It as topped with a half to three-quarters of an inch of ham topped with Swiss. Sort of an inside out cordon bleu. The mash was also flavorless. Think of "champ" in Europe. A nice place but food was, sadly, terrible.

Yelp
We were visiting at Stonewall Jackson Resort and made reservations on Saturday night for 6. We are so glad we did! We had bang-bang shrimp for an appetizer. It was the right amount of sweet heat and the shrimp is nicely battered. There were 6 of us and we enjoyed the sirloin, trout (which was a special), and chicken cordon bleu. Everyone loved their meals. Steaks were more like filets and were prepared as ordered in nice coffee rub. The trout was lightly battered with cornmeal. Two big pieces with really tasty tartar sauce. The chicken was thick and juicy. The restaurant has a cool atmosphere and we were told it used to be a hardware store. If looking for someone in Weston, go here!

Tana S.

Yelp
The food was absolutely impressive. Our party of four enjoyed everything we ordered. It was completely amazing. The service from Kyle was above and beyond. He was on top of everything and anticipated our needs well. The atmosphere led to a delicious and enjoyable meal.

Bradford G.

Yelp
They had good service. The steak and mashed potatoes was delicious. We liked the mule cocktails. Recommended.

Yelp
Wow! Just wow! The locals obviously know about this hidden gem (which doesn't even have a website). So reservations are definitely recommended, especially on weekends. But as much as I love West Virginia, I didn't expect to find a restaurant "in the middle of nowhere" (to quote my server) that outshines those in the Washington DC area. A relatively small menu, but all 3 courses I chose were delicious - especially the outstanding main (potato parmesan crusted salmon). The service was great, too. I'll be looking for an excuse to come back!

Yelp
Excellent food! Service was exceptional. Overall wonderful experience. Chocolate cherry cake was decadent. So good! We highly recommend this wonderful and interesting restaurant!

Yelp
Over the last 5 years, I have traveled to Weston for work many times. Every time, the Thyme Bistro has been my go to spot for lunch or dinner. Menu options are great and not overwhelming. Atmosphere is super cool and country chic. Service has been great! Food has been on point! Today, got their special of the day, "the gondola" - absolutely #yummo !! #deitzeatz

Erico C.

Yelp
Great food when it's open. Menu doesn't change very often. I recommend the bistro fries.

Andre L.

Yelp
Everything we ordered was delicious, although it was a thick piece of meat. My steak was cooked to perfection. Something that's hard to do on something that thick! My wife had their chicken salad with caramelized pecans, and a fantastic strawberry goat cheese dressing... The food came out, in good time, and the staff was pleasant and friendly :0)

Stephanie G.

Yelp
I was visiting stonewall resort and decided to get off property for dinner. This place did not disappoint! The food and the service were stellar. The folks at the table made such enthusiastic recommendations that we just gave in and got what they told us. Lol. Steaks, salads, sandwiches and dessert (the carrot cake and the butter pecan butter cake.... Omg. We all tasted each other's food. We all were beyond happy with the meal, the presentation and the service. This is a hidden gem. Do not miss it.

Stephanie J.

Yelp
We were blown away by the service and thoughtfulness of the staff at Thyme Bistro. They accommodated our large party (12 adults with 3 birthdays) with ease. The food was spectacular and came out all at once with every special request executed perfectly. The ambiance is modern yet quaint...such a relaxing and fun place to enjoy a delicious meal for any occasion. Cannot recommend Thyme Bistro enough!

Thomas K.

Yelp
Probably really good food, but if you get there 23 minutes before they close at 2pm, you're gonna be SOL. Maybe they were having a slow day when we came and said "Screw it" at 1:30pm. Who knows.

Michael B.

Yelp
Extremely disappointed.... I have eaten there many times before with family and friends and enjoyed the experiences, BUT NOT THIS TIME; Had early reservations on a Saturday evening (5:00 PM) and was promptly informed that Thyme Bistro was already out of several entrées. In fact, they were out of both their Sirloin and filet mignon entrées. Surprised that a restaurant of this caliper would run of any of their main entrées a 1/3 of the way for the weekend, especially, when they have an amazing boutique Butcher only 5 miles away that can supply ANY beef that Thyme might need. Another surprising note is that the drinking water.... although cold, had so much chlorine that it smelled & tasted like it was from a swimming pool and we're informed by the very friendly waitress that there was no "bottled" water alternative,

Greg A.

Yelp
I met my daughter for dinner. By chance I found Thyme on Yelp. I cannot say enough good things about Thyme. There is a reason they're dinning room filled up so quick after opening for dinner. It's that good. We had Bistro fries for appetizer. A nice elevated way to serve fries. For dinner I had the Winter Hen. This salad was simply amazing. The strawberries and vinaigrette set the salad off. My daughter had the cast iron Zitti. It was a mouthful of flavor. The homemade meatballs melt in your mouth. The waiter was super helpful and attentive. You can lose yourself in the ambiance. A nice way to relax and enjoy dinner and company and forget about the stresses of the day. For desert we had chocolate cake with raspberry sauce and a butter lemon cake.

Mary S.

Yelp
Great little gem of a place, above and beyond what expected to find! Nice ambience and waitperson!

Ben M.

Yelp
I visited Weston about 10 years ago a d had one of the best meals ever at Thyme Bistro. I've had the opportunity to visit again more recently for work and always make sure to stop in to Thyme and enjoy a delicious dinner. Recently we visited with a large group and on short notice, accommodated our group of 10. We had a selection of pasta dishes, salmon, steak and meatball subs. Everything was delicious, and especially when served with the bistro fries. Make sure you opt for them when you can. Service was great, the ambiance is awesome, and the food as always is delicious. Make sure you eat here if staying in Weston.

Alexandra N.

Yelp
The cream of asparagus soup and winter hen salad were very good. This spot is a hidden gem!

Roger H.

Yelp
So you are driving in the mountains between Charleston and Morgantown and you are hungry for something better than just road food....or you are going to take a tour of a haunted asylum and you are hungry...well go to Weston WV downtown and the Thyme Bistro. We stopped fir lunch and got a burger as well as a steak sandwich. The had a delicious gnocchi tomato bisque for starters. The soup creamy and the pastas stayed in tact. Great dish. The burger was good...not average...not great. The steak sandwich...see picture...is interesting. It is baked inside a homemade bread. Melted cheese over it. You might use a firm and knife. It has great banana peppers that sadly overwhelm the steak...needs a bit more steak. The bread was terrific. Like a big yeast roll. I bet dinner is great. It's not that far off the exit. Just a couple miles. That means a lot as an exit in WV can take you on a 15 miler to get to a town.

Deanna P.

Yelp
Simply don't miss this small town gem of a restaurant! Everything on and off menu is prepared with love and great detail - seasoned and cooked the perfection, and paired and plated beautifully. The new location on Main Street is perfect - a great atmosphere! You MUST order the Bistro Fries - the most delicious fries you will ever eat in your entire life (no joke). Our favorite sandwiches on the menu are the steak hoagie (mine) and the spicy pig (husbands). The steaks are cooked perfectly, and there's always a list of locally sourced foods on the chalk board up front. Don't miss this delightful spot.

Dan L.

Yelp
Worth every single penny! Absolutely delicious! Quiet relaxed atmosphere, and prompt friendly service. Cannot recommend enough.

Roger S.

Yelp
As someone who visits Weston occasionally for work, thank God for this place. The whole area is a food desert except for this place. Good ambiance, good service, reasonable prices, and everything I've had has been terrific. I highly recommend this place.

David J.

Yelp
Thyme Bistro was a lucky find for our lunch today. Each of the four of us was very happy with our meal. We're going back for dinner! All aspects of the experience were above expectations, including the decor, food, drinks, and service.

Justin M.

Yelp
Stopped in a whim while in Weston for work. Decent lunch crowd and a lot of to go orders going out. Still got quick and friendly service. Buffalo chicken sandwich was the special and it was great. Right amount of spice. Blue cheese inside with provolone melted on top. Add the 1.50 for the bistro fries. Really good crispy fries. Definitely will stop Again.

Yelp
This place makes me lament that I' m not spending more time in Weston! Tucked away in the middle of Main Street, it was a rather welcoming sight away from the drizzling weather. The interior was sleek and had an upscale feel. We were greeted right away by the cheery hostess and quickly seated. For my lunch I ordered the Avocado BLT with side salad and Romano Garlic dressing. This was probably the BEST BLT I've had ever as all the ingredients were high quality from the artisan bread to the thick hearty cuts of bacon. The wheatberry bread was buttery yet perfectly toasted and the bacon had this sweet and smoky flavor to it. It was completed with fresh greens and a tomato and well dressed with avocado mayo. I completed my meal with a fresh side salad with their homemade unique dressing. The garlic taste of the dressing was mostly subtle and the dressing had a milky consistency. I really loved how it was conveniently located a short distance from the Trans Allegany Lunatic Asylum so we were able to have a stress free perfect day!

Donna J.

Yelp
This place is amazing! The atmosphere is like a Hallmark movie - quaint bistro in a small town. The menu is great & the food is delicious!!! My daughter & I had a great lunch here. Our server was awesome too! Definitely recommend this place!!!!

Carrie B.

Yelp
My husband grew up here and we are moving back soon and I wanted to try this place for lunch. It was delicious! My favorite was the white chicken chili but the BLTA (BLT with Avocado) and the spicy pig sandwiches were also very tasty. The white chocolate lemon raspberry butter cake sounds like it would be too many flavors but it was surprisingly simple and hard to describe but also delicious. We will definitely be back to support this local business!

Mossum ..

Yelp
Dined here after being released from... I mean touring...the Lunacy Asylum. Nice ambiance and good food. We both had salads, which arrived in big bowls and contained all the right salady goodness. Bread for the table was DELICIOUS. Service was friendly and prompt. We'd go back!

Chuck H.

Yelp
My wife and I stopped in Weston for the night on our way back from Tennessee. After looking on Yelp for a place for dinner we settled on Thyme Bistro. What a fortuitous decision! A great little place downtown with some of the best food we had on our trip. Tomato bisque was superb, I had a pot roast over ravioli dish the chef had just created that night that was absolutely delicious! My wife raved about the chicken dish she had. Very nice wine and liquor selection along with locally brewed beers. Can't say enough good things about Thyme Bistro, highly recommend!

Glenn S.

Yelp
Group of 8 went for dinner. Seating was prompt but it stopped there. Drink service was slow. I asked what beers were available, as there was no list. Server had no idea what was available so asked me what I wanted. I mentioned 6 beers, server said had no idea if they had them. I gave up and had iced tea. Food delivery was slow. One of the meals arrived cold. They need to regroup and retrain.

Ashbin K.

Yelp
The food is absolutely delicious here. Quiet atmosphere with amazing customer service. Will definitely be back.

T-Claw G.

Yelp
Great food, service, and ambiance. I wish the menu and receipt were more itemized with prices. The fried buttermilk chicken breast sandwich was perfect.

Candace S.

Yelp
There is nothing I can complain about. The establishment is adorable, our server, Jennifer, was delightful, the food was delicious and the beer we had, Frost Notch - a locally brewed beer, was just over the top.

Mark Y.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing food and great service. Would definitely come again. Probably the best food in town honestly. And it's a short drive from The resort.

Gina W.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem. Everything on the menu is desirable. I ordered the chicken and risotto dish. It was very filling and the rissoto was the perfect creamy texture. There's also a waitress/bartender on the weekends who really knows her libations. Her mixology skills are amazing. She drives in from Morgantown to work there, her drive is worth it ( sorry I forget her name). My guests had two different burgers which were both delicious. There was no room for dessert, but the options were yummy. I just wish the pricing fit the buget of more people who live in town. I want everyone to be able to experience this fine dining establishment in a tiny WV town. Maybe host a "Local night". Those who live in Weston receive 10% off every Tuesday? Just a thought

John T.

Yelp
We had lunch and dinner here after visiting the Trans Allegheny Lunatic Museum. Just a fun little bistro which frankly was surprising in that small town. Nice variety of menu options and an attentive staff. Highly recommended

Brittany L.

Yelp
While in town for work, a group of colleagues and I decided to try the Thyme Bistro and are glad we did! The Bistro has a cozy feel as soon as you walk in the front door. I started with a house salad and ordered the smokehouse wrap for my lunch entree. The waitress was friendly, the food came quickly even with a decent amount of full tables and we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch here.

Susan E.

Yelp
Quaint setting. Welcoming and tastefully decorated. Our server, Kyle, was wonderful. The specials sounded great but we had our eyes set on others things. Nice variety of menu items, not too many and we were not disappointed. We had their Shrimp Judith and Greek pizza. The shrimp was cooked well (and we are from South Carolina and used to fresh seafood!) Fresh ingredients on the pizza. Their house dressing was superb. Highly recommend. If we are back this way again we will stop in!

Computer J.

Yelp
This is the most unsuspectingly awesome restaurant I've found to date. After reading glowing Yelp reviews, we decided to head over on a rainy Tuesday for dinner after a long day of traveling. Parking is on the street, with plenty of spaces around, but 2 conveniently right out front. Meters stop after 5 (small town beauty). It's a quiet and quaint restaurant, but plenty of room for bigger parties. Decor had more effort than I expected, considering the outside doesn't really have much curb appeal. Waitress was great: polite, quick, gave good suggestions. The time between appetizers, dinners and dessert was a good pace. No dawdling, but we didn't ever feel like we were being pushed out the door. The menu is a one-page new American, with options for everyone. We ended up going for the Crab in the Cage appetizer for one entree based on suggestion. This dish is creative and tasty: friend noodles incasing what's essentially crab-cake meatballs over a light mustard sauce. I've been to restaurants up and down Maryland, home of the blue crab, and I have never seen a take on the standard crab cake as playful and new as this one. I went with the Steak over potatoes and chorizo (the exact description is alluding me). I asked for Medium Rare, and that's what I got! Presentation was nice, and it was a filling meal. Comes with house salad or soup, and I chose the soup which was Italian Sausage and Lentil. Tasty and comforting on a dreary day. This meal was easily one our favorites we've ever had, and I really never expected it from such a tucked-away restaurant in West Virginia. Bonus Points for a staff member turning on light jazz JUST as I was thinking it was a little too quiet. Definitely helped the vibe!

Paul T.

Yelp
A great little gem in the heart of Weston, WV. Nice folks, delicious food. Worth a stop for a bite or libation. Cheers!

Kyle A.

Yelp
Awesome spot. Super cool atmosphere and very accommodating for me and a friend who had just finished golfing and didn't have a reservation. Seated at the bar and had an amazing chicken sandwich and cheese fries.

John M.

Yelp
If I could give this restaurant six stars, I would! We were spending the night in Weston, WV and were looking for something other than fast food. So we looked up recommendations and stumbled onto Thyme Bistro. I never expected to find this quality of food and service in the humble little town of Weston. Sarah our server was friendly, informative and just the right amount of attentiveness. She would make BIG bucks in one of our fine dining restaurants back home in Naples, Florida. As soon as we were seated, Geoff the co-owner and head chef greeted us and asked if we ate shellfish. We said "yes" and he said he was working on something special and would be back with an appetizer. The menu was small but had a wide variety of offerings - something for any taste. Just as we decided on our entree's Geoff showed up with a beautiful plate of two deep fried crab stuffed zucchini blossoms. AMAZING! We also learned that Geoff and co-owner and chef Dwayne, source almost everything locally, especially the vegetables and fruit. My wife ordered chicken marsala with baby portobello mushrooms on fettuccini. I ordered a shrimp scampi style dish with Meyer lemon and butter sauce on angel hair pasta. Both were exceptional. I'll drive out of my way to eat here anytime I'm within a hundred miles.

David B.

Yelp
Excellent food and healthy portion sizes. You will not leave hungry. We had a large party and everyone enjoyed their meal. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in the area or staying at the Stonewall Resort. The service was prompt and prices were reasonable. What more could you ask for?

Jj L.

Yelp
Great atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Loved the food and had an amazing time. Went back for seconds the next day. Good red wine selection.

Jeanne Y.

Yelp
Rude, slow and a misleading menu. We stopped by here for lunch after touring the asylum but we should have keep going. Granted it was 2:30 but lunch was served until 3pm and I would expect a modicum of service. Instead, we were served by an unfriendly decidedly uninterested woman who obviously didn't want customers bothering her. I ordered the BLTA (for avocado). With equal billing, one would think the sandwich would contain slices of avocado. One would be wrong. When I asked the server this, she said it was avocado mayonnaise. Oh. Well, the mayonnaise had NO hint of an avocado on either taste or color so forgive me if I think she flat out lied. My son ordered a sandwich called spicy pig. It was a plain Han with melted cheese. Absolutely nothing spicy about it except the name. Luckily, my husband actually liked what he ordered, so they got one sandwich right. Avoid if possible

Lyn M.

Yelp
They would have gotten 5 stars but they don't have any vegetarian options on their dinner menu. They did accommodate me and make a vegetarian quesadilla, which is on their lunch menu, which I appreciated. Food was good; service was good; but not everyone eats meat.

Mary F.

Yelp
Wonderful time. Great service by Nickie. Had a shrimp boil and perfect chocolate dessert

rose s.

Yelp
Good taste in decor and scrumptious food. Just call ahead to reserve on the weekends because it's a small town and everyone wants to eat here.
