When I thought we had peaked in Lisbon, Porto surprised us with another one. As a NYer, we're used to good food. But Portugal has got us tearing up from such good food and affordable prices. Exhibit A, Muamba de galinha: made with chicken, palm oil, tomatoes, onions, garlic, and spices, and often thickened with okra. Exhibit B, peanut butter chicken. We looked like the heavens opened and enlightenment came. When it was over, we had put away probably our daily calorie allowance without meaning to. Were there regrets? No, not at all

A restaurante that I didn’t know about since I’ve only recently moved to Porto. The staff was lovely and the food truly exceptional. Highly recommended

Very good atmosphere with top mozambican food. I was with some Mozambican friends and ate Mapata, caril de frango com côco and xima. We had a very good time.

Delicious restaurant serving a difficult cuisine to find: Mozambican! The food is very delicious and served with two spicy sauces for the brave. The service is very friendly and the atmosphere relax. Very reasonable prices. Everything top!!!

Amazing restaurant! As someone who never had Mozambican food before, I was blown away by the quality and flavour of each dish ordered! Highly recommend the curry dishes and a few bottles of 2M beer! Don't forget to try the homemade chilli sauce too! Thank you Tia Orlanda!

Food was very bad and expensive. I had moambe chicken and it was very bland. No flavour at all. Also the chicken was probably hacked to death with a machete, since it was full of small, shard splinters of bone. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone. I was also possibly scammed with the bill, but I just wanted to get ASAP.

The shrimp and chicken curry was exceptional, the house wine inexpensive and delicious, and the desserts are heavenly. Take a break from the high priced tourist traps and get some authentic African cuisine! The owners and wait staff are very inviting and helpful. MUST TRY!

This restaurant comes highly rated and offer a small menu of exotic Mozambique flavours. Tía Orlanda will make sure that your experience is as pleasant as possible. The restaurant is decorated with authentic Mozambican memorabilia and there's also a shop nearby which sells more. The food portions are ample the service is incredibly friendly and professional. If you enjoy extra spicy food then make sure to ask for the hot sauce accompaniments.
