Tian Bistro am Spittelberg

A really fantastic set menu of vegetarian dishes that were all thoughtfully conceived and executed. I was blown away by the balance achieved amid some pretty punchy flavours. The seasonal menu included standout starters such as the beetroot tartar and kohlrabi bites. The mains were earthy and rustic, especially the leek gnocchi which was just lovely. Overall, my partner and I enjoyed our visit a few weeks ago and loved the creativity of the chef and the wonderful service from the whole team.

Reservation was easy on the website. I had made a couple of requests (one about dietary restrictions) and they were very accommodating. The restaurant is situated in a lively area, with an original and contemporary style. We had the chef’s menu, entirely vegetarian, and it was truly amazing. The tian tartar, while looking almost like a meat one, had a unique and layered flavor. All the plates were fabulous, but the risotto served as main course really stood out. Dessert was amazing too. To deliver such flavor, textures, pairings, with such common and inexpensive ingredients ,continuous research and great techniques are needed: congratulations to the staff. Our waiters were extremely friendly, approachable and knowledgeable about the menu. Check was not cheap, but the experience was definitely worth the price for a date night. I just wished they gave us a little extra time between the courses, we felt a little rushed. All in all, absolutely recommended. Grazie!

Absolutely lovely experience! Food was delicious and different, really worth our money, but the best thing about this place was the service we received. All the waiters were lovely and really accommodating, honestly the best service I received in Austria, but Kurt was exceptional. He helped us choose and gave recommendations that felt genuine and were really good. Really worth visiting!

How this has only 4.4 stars is beyond comprehension! I had the vegan selection, and my (French, meat-eating) friend opted for the vegetarian pre-fixe menu, and we were both blown away. And the price is beyond reasonable!! Great service, wonderful wine recommendation… I 100% recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves good food!! (Also, dog friendly!)

Got gifted this experience from a friend and would totally recommend it. They curate seasonal vegetation and vegan menus. We had a very mushroom heavy menu, and I am not a mushroom fan which was why it was surprising for me to like so many dishes! The starters were very nice. Especially one with pistachios and cream. The risotto seemed a tad undercooked. Portions are good for two and you can ask for a repeat plate if you're still hungry. The cheesecake was a hit but the sorbet not so much. I understand the alternative style of cooking but it was just a tad over the edge in the sorbet . Their staff is nice and efficient and very observant. Cute sitting as well The music needs work, because it was slightly loud and not conducive to conversation...

Wow a real delightful dinner experience at this exclusively vegan/vegetarian resturant. The ambience outside was fantastic although the inner courtyard was also very cozy. We ordered the sharing menu which was a lot of food with amazing flavors. Edith was a very friendly and attentive host

A high-priced vegetarian restaurant that saves on cutlery. Basically, it's OK that since the COVID pandemic only timeslots have been allocated and the menu contains exactly one menu, but it's not OK that four (!) courses are eaten with a single cutlery set. The dishes are basically regional but still creative. In terms of drinks, more wine is available, the beer section is a little poor. The staff are nice. All in all, a solid 4 stars.

The sharing menu was a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach. It was hard to pick a favorite dish from each course.
