TL:DR pay in cash for discount and don't sleep on their hot and sour soup, cheung fun, or siu mai We came here for lunch on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy. We've been here previously and enjoyed the food. While the selection of dim sum isn't as vast as some other places, the dishes were fairly decent. We started with a large bowl of hot and sour soup, split between my wife and I. For $6, even if it was more, this is one of the best hot and sour soups I've had. Very generous portion where we managed to get 6 portions from the large bowl. We also ordered the spicy Sichuan wontons which were not so great. The wontons themselves were fine but the Sichuan sauce was lacking depth of flavor. For dim sum, the char siu buns were fairly standard. Decent and tasty, a little bready but good. The siu mai were seriously good. Nice and plump, a lot of filling, thin wrapper, and very tasty. Chicken feet were lacking a little. The sauce was thin and no depth of flavor. Their cheung fun were really good. It's definitely something we will order again. Simple dish with a nice texture to the wrapper. I enjoyed the tofu skin but my wife found it too chewy for her liking. We finished our meal with a lava egg bun which was very good as well. Wait staff were about as attentive as any other Chinese restaurant. I know some people prefer more attention, but we did not expect this. Lastly, pay in cash and you get a discount.

Update: The live fish is really good. Love the dimsum. Must try the radish cake with XO sauce The place looks nice and clean. Service is fast. Food is good but some of the scallop dish is a bit oily for me. We love their fish maw with crab soup. Love the soup with dumplings too.

Google
(If only I could give 0 star) I excitedly came here to try their peking duck as others reviewed as one of the best in DFW. It was not. The skin is only 10% crispy and the fat under it makes me sick to my throat after a few bites. Duck meat is not well marinated either. I also tried xiao long bao aka “soup dumplings” but to my surprise it does NOT have any broth in it, which make them just regular dumplings, but the price is more expensive than other dumplings like they have more special ingredients. Their “xiao long bao” taste just like Costco’s frozen and nothing stands out. I also ordered chicken feet and flat noodles but foods here are just mediocre. Y’all should try ABC seafood, Ocean Chinese seafood restaurant, the Pearl in Arlington, Kirin Court or My Canh (Garland). Foods are MUCH MORE tasty and well prepared than this restaurant. okay bad foods are not the reason why i 1-star this restaurant. The server charged me automatically 20% my bill for gratuity but from the moment foods were out until the moment we are finished they did not once come and ask me how i was doing or what else do i need. They just handed out the foods on the table and that was it. I told them tip was for service but I didn’t receive any service and it was not worth 20%. They said they did bring out foods and water for me in the beginning?!?!?!?!? I was planning to change the 20% to 10% tip but their attitudes to us were unacceptable. They loudly cussing me with “Merry Christmas” and “thank you don’t come here anymore we will not serve you,” The 2 girls disrespectfully and continuously shouted in their loud tone “merry christmas thank you don’t come back.” We finally gave them 0 tip and of course will not coming back. What an awful experience y’all!

Google
Food is delicious. We ordered the half duck, maggie shrimp and shrimp shumai. Really, really delicious food! The prices are fair as well. Service is slow but to be expected.

Google
We love their fried rice so much that we drove from out of town to eat here. Quick service with extensive menu with dim sum items even during the afternoon. Also loved their soup dump, and pan fried pork buns. Yummmm! A minor thing to jab is the stir fried veggies and eggplant. They were slightly on the sweet side, not to our liking. Will be back for their fried rice again!

Google
Peking duck was the best dish here, tasted very clean and fresh, good flavor. I also loved the duck soup, tasted very good

Google
The highlight of this place is the peking duck. Other food is decent, but the duck is what makes this place special. We ordered the duck, garlic shrimp, shrimp fried rice, and Shanghai xiaolongbao. I don't recommend getting the xiaolongbao as there was no soup on thr dumpling. Other food I recommend.

Susie Su

Google
Egg tarts and fried turnip cake with XO were good but mediocre dimsum otherwise. Decent variety and if you go when they first open, there won’t be a wait.

Yelp
The Peking Duck was to die for. Absolutely divine. It came with super thin tortillas, vegetables and sauces to make your own mini taco. The duck itself was delicious. The skin was crispy and crunchy, a little oily but not greasy. The meat was moist and flavorful. And with all the elements together, it was like a party in your mouth with the flavors dancing across your tongue. Everything else on the menu was great too! Classics like Xiao Long Bao, Gan Chao Niu He, and Scallion Pancakes were all up to standard. The deep fried garlic pork ribs were something new and amazing. Very memorable. Ambiance and service was classy and quick. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
Came on a Friday 1 hour before lunch service was over. I was seated quickly at a table by a window. The table top was clear but the floor under the table wasn't swept. But I stayed then later noticed there was food spatter all over the window. There were also lots of cleaning products and boxes piled up in plain site. Hallway to bathroom full of products. In the bathroom products by the bar boxes and products. Huge piles of just junk. The food. I ordered the Peking duck. It came with a duck soup. The soup wasn't hot, not even warm. The Peking duck with accoutrements wasn't any better. The veggies were limp as if they had been sitting out all morning uncovered. The pancakes were very dry and lukewarm. But they got progressively colder. Last third of the basket was ice cold. The duck, was not hot. It also wasn't freshly made. It had been sitting out. It didn't have the crispy snap skin should have. It was super greasy. And because it was cool that grease was just sitting on the skin like a second coating. I paid but ate nothing. I won't be back and don't recommend.

Yelp
A really good spot for Chinese food in Dallas The Peking Duck was cooked just right, the fried rice and the noodles that that perfect umami taste Soup dumplings were good

Tracy L.

Yelp
WHAT I ORDERED: Sauteed Green Beans, Salt & Pepper Tofu, Sizzling Beef, Ho Fen, Hong Kong Style Crab Fried Rice, Soup Dumplings, Whole Duck and Duck Soup PARKING: Shared parking lot, plenty of spots INSIDE: Good amount of seating for small and large parties, friendly staff, restrooms available, beautiful flower mural THE FOODS/DRINKS: The duck here is definitely the star! The pancakes are nice and soft that pairs with with the crispy duck skin and sliced duck meat. The beef in the sizzling beef and ho fen fish was tender. Besides the duck, most of the dishes are more on the bland side but adding chili oil helped give it some extra flavor. Keep in mind, you are charged $2/tea so specify how many tea cups are needed. Rice is also an extra charge.

Yelp
We kept coming back to Tian Tian because we're huge fans of authentic Chinese cuisine. But we've seen consistent decline in their service level, and in our last visit we literally walked out and probably will never come back. They were not only terribly understaffed, but their staff was outright rude. The person in the front literally left groups of people waiting without ever acknowledging their presence. We saw one man raising his hand to get his attendance and he literally just walked past him. But what drove us out was the bathroom. The floor was dirty and slippery/greasy. So slippery that when I tried to pulled the door, I actually slipped forward rather than the door opening. It was gross, and unsafe. We walked out. Without even getting our table. Unbelievably disappointing. (With all that said, we're rooting for the owner/management to turn things around. It's hard to find authentic places like this)

Vania B.

Yelp
The best spot for pecking duck, in my humble opinion. Great taste and quality Chinese food. Always come here for pecking duck and it never disappoints! The duck is perfectly cooked and tasty, the skin is so crispy but not too oily; perfection. Love that the pecking duck dish also comes with a light soup on the side. I also love their other dishes like the barbecue pork, vegetables (specifically the green beans), and fried rice. Located in a plaza, so parking is easy to find. Service is usually good here.

Benz J.

Yelp
New renovation for extra room look stunning. Dim Sum dishes are amazing and we love dinner menu as well. They are using big size shrimps in several dishes. Shrimp wraps in flatted noodle is amazing. Services are great.

Brian L.

Yelp
Might be the worst takeout experience of my life. Order the duck and be prepared to wait 2 hours when they tell you it only takes 20 mins, then keep reassuring you that the order is about to be done or is "being packed" every 10 mins. There seemed to be quite a few other angry and impatient customers waiting in line too.

Caroline Z.

Yelp
Peking Duck, Garlic Pea Pod Leaves My foodie guru swore this was the best Peking duck in town, so we obviously had to try it. The interior is huge, with an area with tons of windows and natural light. Even with a long wait list, we only had to wait for about 20 minutes to be seated. They do take reservations I think. Servers are efficient. Peking duck had wonderfully crispy skin, so greasy and oily and wonderful. The duck itself was still moist and delicious. The soup was not standard Peking duck soup; it was a super light broth really, almost no salt in it, but a nice balance. Pea pod leaves usually come in abalone sauce here, but we prefer garlic, so they kindly switched it out for us.

Wendy S.

Yelp
Come for the Peking duck! I've been craving it for a while now and there isn't really a place for it where I'm from. The duck skin is the perfect balance of fat and crispy. The meat is super tender and juicy. We also ordered the truffle fried rice, string beans, xiao long bao and chicken feet. Everything tasted good and we enjoyed it. Dishes were a bit greasy, but the taste made up for it. Prices are also very fair at this place, which is another plus.

Howard L.

Yelp
Awesome Peking duck without a long wait time like traditional Peking duck restaurants. The entrees are also delicious. I loved the sauteed squid with onions and peppers, and the sauteed green beans. The truffle fried rice was interesting. I wouldn't order the fried rice again, but I'm glad to have tried it once. I like how the egg pieces in the rice are actually crispy instead of fried rice at other restaurants. The duck soup is a trap. Do not order it. It's so bland with just a few pieces of tofu and rice noodles. Not worth the $5 on top of the cost of the roast duck. Even if it were $1 extra, I wouldn't recommend it

Christina M.

Yelp
This was the second visit to Tian Tian. I came because it's one of the few places that serve Peking duck. In addition to that they have other solid options and even have dim sum dishes! That's really hard to find in the DFW area! No complaints with service. The dishes were overall alright- some I would order again others I wouldn't.

Siang Yen T.

Yelp
Do NOT order the duck. We walked in to order to go, and the hostess told us 20 minutes. After 20 minutes she told us it's not ready. After 45 minutes she told us it's not ready. We kept waiting and after standing there for 1.5 hours we were asked if we want a refund on the duck. NEVER AGAIN. We weren't the only ones waiting. There was a line of people waiting for the same dish. They shouldn't put it on the menu if they were unable to make it in 1.5 hours. Or at least put a warning beside that dish so people are aware of the wait time.

Cathy C.

Yelp
The Peking duck was so delicious! It's definitely a must try dish from here. You will not regret it at all . The service was amazing and the staff is very helpful and nice . The hot and sour soup was very flavorful and delicious.

Alfred M.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised by Tian Tian, it is rare to find any solid Chinese restaurant in Dallas area. Seeing a decent variety of cantonese dish options is always great and the food and quality is solid. The place is clean and comfortable. They also have their robo server delivering your dishes. Some of the dishes I've enjoyed: Roasted Peking Duck, Black Pepper BBQ pork, cantonese style sweet and sour pork. Note they also now have dim sum which is rare in Dallas, and it is actually solid for Dallas standards. Highly recommend and would come back.

Belldandy O.

Yelp
Located within a small plaza, so shouldn't be too hard to find parking. It was the late morning of the fourth of July, so it was a bit busy. It actually got way more crowded after we had been seated and settled in. I really liked the design on the inside of the restaurant. It gave off a kind of elegant and classy vibe to the chaotic-ness of a dim sum restaurant. There was three of us eating together and we enjoyed all the food we ordered. We may have ordered a bit more than we could have eaten, but we powered through it all.

Erek P.

Yelp
Food arrived hot and was coursed appropriately to allow us time to enjoy each dish. Jasmine tea was nice

Yaya M.

Yelp
4.5 stars. Great dining environment and friendly service. Beijing Duck with paper-thin wraps is the must -have! We have had the dish twice and quality was consistent. It is definitely one of the best Beijing Duck in DFW. We also ordered a cold chicken dish served with scallion oil. The chicken was not over cooked, flavor was spot on. Xiao Long Bao was decent for the price. Will come back to try more dishes.

Grant M.

Yelp
Very good dim sum. I love Shanghai dumpy and these are great. Overall all of the dim sum was super yummy. The individual pieces are quite big. Wear an old shirt as you'll drop the dim sum and splatter your soy lol

Samantha C.

Yelp
We were so excited to give Tian Tian a try after seeing a few posts on IG! The service was okay. You'll need to flag your server down if you need additional water or need the check. However, everyone was super friendly! The restaurant itself was large, bright, and airy. There was plenty of seating and food for large groups and gatherings. We did find it odd that it smelled like natural gas though (?!). I tried calling to make a reservation, but their phone # goes straight to voicemail and their voicemail box was full! The four of us arrived at 5 P to try to beat the crowd (it worked!). By 6 PM, the place was filling up and people had to wait for a table. Plenty of free parking in the private lot right in front of the restaurant. The menu was very vast and they seemed to have a bit of everything from different regions of China. They also served Dim Sum, but we did not order any! We ordered the following: 1) Ma po tofu: not spicy, but had decent flavor 2) Peking duck: delicious, but we were disappointed in how little toppings they provided! Also, the pancakes were stuck together so many of them were ripped up when we tried to eat it! They should have separated each pancake with parchment paper or something. 3) dry sautéed green beans: really good, and very generous portions! Overall, we had a good experience here!

Alex V.

Yelp
Good dim sum, excellent choices, great flavors. The staff was great to work with a very accommodating. The venue is brightly lit and offers plenty of seating.

Kgarann S.

Yelp
Good is always good. Now they expended and have live fish to pick and cook from! Love to bring family here and gatherings!

Justin T.

Yelp
This is the place for Peking duck if you are in the mood, and it's pretty cheap. Hands down you have to get it. It has the thinnest wrap, and the sauce is so good. The meat itself is lean and very flavorful and not dry. Service is good and everyone speaks English. They also have a robot deliver your food. The inside is nice and is good for larger parties. Parking is pretty easy as well as it is located in a plaza. Do not get the dimsum here. It is below average and really the only reason for 4 stars rather than 5. We tried the pineapple bun, Xiao long bao, and golden bun and it was not good at all.

Jon D.

Yelp
I wanted to like the place, but its only decent because of the limited options in Dallas for good Duck. Came for lunch on a Wednesday and the service was slow and the food was mid at best. Will not be coming back

Jim V.

Yelp
Egg drop soup is excellent. All 3 of us ordered different meals but enjoyed them all. Good portions, fair pricing, nice atmosphere and great service. What's not to like

Grace Z.

Yelp
Shrimp dumpling had a very thick skin, wasn't crystal at all, and it tasted bad. The leek dumpling was just bad overall, they used to fry them but this just tasted like it's steamed which missed its purpose entirely. Ink fish dumpling had a weird texture in them, above all, it tasted raw, unacceptable. Xiaolongbao had a very thick skim as well, the proper ones are supposed to be small and thin. Only good ones were the chrysanthemum tea and soup.

Mary V.

Yelp
It is really beautiful in here. The service a bit slow but that's the perfect indication that the food will be authentic and delicious. The food is all 4s or 5s. So I'll just rate my favorites. Peking Duck (5/5): It's pure bliss when you wrap the crispy skin and rich, juicy duck in the paper thin wrap. Half an order is perfect for two people. Salt & Pepper Shrimp (4.5/5) It's not just salt and pepper, there are peppercorns used as well as some Sichuan peppers, I think. There's not much heat to it so you don't have to worry. Overall a lovely place to check out if you are looking to eat Chinese food in a beautiful atmosphere.

Amy Y.

Yelp
I've desperately been missing Peking Duck since I've moved to the area and I thought I'd give this place a try. We tried the Peking duck, pan fried pork dumplings, the sizzling happy family and the snow pea leaves with garlic. Peking duck was a little dry and I didn't like how the fat wasn't separated from the skin. It was just rendered with it, making it a fatty thick piece of crispy duck fat which gets to be a little much after a while. Pan fried pork dumplings were pretty good but just wish it had a little more filling. Sorry, it arrived last and I forgot to take a picture of it. The sizzling happy family was really flavorful and delicious. Snow pea leaves with garlic were amazing. Nice having a veggie to cut through some of the duck fat lol. I'd come back just because it's fairly close to where I live and the service was great but I've definitely had better Peking Duck. Also, the inside was really nice, spacious, and clean.

Kyle M.

Yelp
Pretty decent dim sum spot. Went here with a friend and we split: Xiaolongbao, Pan fried pork buns, Stickey rice, and a couple of shrimp dumplings. we ended up paying about $25 a person before tip so it seemed pretty fairly priced overall. Everything was pretty good overall though the soup in the Xiaolongboa could have been a bit warmer for my tastes. They had a really extensive menu so as much as I enjoyed the dim sum I think I would likely want to try the entrees next time I returned instead.

Khanh T.

Yelp
The food here never disappoints you. The best seller here is the Peking duck. It is def a must try. The skin was very crispy. We went during a holiday and they had a promotion for crab fried rice. They have the best fried rice here. The staff are very friendly. It is a family-friendly restaurant where you can bring your family to enjoy lunch or dinner.

Rachel S.

Yelp
This place happened to be open on Christmas Day, so my family made a reservation for 7 people at 6pm. It was good thinking to make a reservation because the place was jam-packed, and every table was full with a line of people waiting to be seated. We were seated in about 15 minutes despite the reservation, and even with the staff being so busy, they still did a great job handling our order and requests. We tried many kinds of dishes from chicken, the Beijing duck (a favorite), soup dumplings, buns, and various veggie dishes (pea shoots $16, Kung pao tofu ~$14, and green beans $12). People really enjoyed the duck and the green veggies, but the soup dumplings were not as soupy as we would have liked. The veggies were actually quite delicious and not too salty which was perfect for our tastes. We also got coconut jelly for dessert ($8 each) which came as literal large coconuts, but instead of filled with coconut juice, they contained a jelly filling consisting of agar-agar. I was not a fan of the texture but other family members enjoyed it. Overall, pretty decent food (especially the veggie dishes), and although the place was crowded and popular, the staff still did a great job under the pressure.

Binti T.

Yelp
Love the ambiance!! Service was ok but post COVID times I never have the expectation of amazing service anymore. Now the food!! We got the shrimp rice roll ( cheung fun) it was amazing!! It was little more oily I was used too but it hit the spot . Scallion pancakes was not what I was expecting at all and was not crazy I would not get it again.. it was like a roll with scallions in it Got rice roll with stir fry. It was drier than I was expecting but it was tasty and hit the spot!

Pauline P.

Yelp
You come to Tian Tian for the Peking Duck. They use the thin wraps rather than the thick buns. The presentation is really nice. They de-bone the duck for you and leave you with the skin and a thin slice of duck meat. Our duck did not seem to have much meat on it, not sure if our duck was just skinny. But we overall enjoyed the Peking Duck and would order it again. The other items we ordered were a hit or miss. The scallion pancakes were not enjoyable, I would definitely pass on those. The xiao long bao (soup dumplings) were decent, I'd probably get them again if I came back. We did like the pan fried dumplings. The mapo tofu was underwhelming and the pan fried buns were ok. We had ordered a lot of stuff so we could try everything and see if it was worth coming back. We did not receive one of our orders which ended up working out for us because we were full. Overall, I'd come back to Tian Tian for the Peking Duck and leave it at that unless their other dishes have gotten better since we went.

Helen L.

Yelp
This place has really good Peking duck, fried rice, and some wasabi marinate mushrooms. Can't complain, everything I had was great and the fact that the food came out quick was even better. Service is quick and the place is generally not that packed.

Mihaela P.

Yelp
This place is the best brunch stop in n Texas they have the best dim sum. We go here for lunch dinner and brunch.

John D.

Yelp
Waited several minutes for anyone to greet me. When they finally did greet me the lady was shoving an ice cream cone in her mouth. I left!!

Tbird T.

Yelp
30 minutes from home but so worth it! Went on Friday lunch hour and it wasn't too crowded. Great staff, great food and bathrooms were clean. I eat a lot of dim sum but have never seen multiple large shrimps in the dumplings! Will come back. Duck meat was a little tough if you like to eat the meat, I prefer just skin.

Mary C.

Yelp
We came on a weekday, past 2 p.m. Got seated promptly. The wait staff service was good. Ordered the peking duck. The presentation was nice. Would have wanted the skin to be crispier. The skin is more of a roast duck. Flavor, was just okay, I was hoping for more flavor. Sadly, this can't compare the the peking ducks in the 626 area. I was really hoping it would. This did not wow me. The order came with duck soup. The beef cumin was quite sweet. I did not expect that. I really don't like my meats to be sweet. We wilm continue with our quest in search of peking duck.

Joe L.

Yelp
We found our new go to spot for Peking duck. This place was surprising very good because we weren't expecting much. I was shocked that this place wasn't packed with customers. Service was fast and friendly and the food was delicious. I would recommend their Peking duck and fried pork ribs. If you have a special occasion, they do offer king crab cooked 3 way.

Kylee L.

Yelp
We loved the dumplings and hot and sour soup here. The lunch special comes with soup and a fantastic price point. I thought the generals chicken was just ok. I wish the chicken pieces were cut a little smaller and the sauce was spicier and less thick.

Thanh L.

Yelp
Food was amazing. Vibes were immaculate and the service was friendly and efficient. The place has a homely feeling and the food is reminiscent of my time in Shanghai with my grandmother.

Wen X.

Yelp
Hopefully the owner will pay more attention to how the server handles any issues with professional way, especially with Asian customers! We come to your restaurant to enjoy the foods, not to take Attitude. I was really mistreated, and they refuse to apologize.

Trent B.

Yelp
Their food is superb, and the hot, sour soup, out, does anything along that line! Review!! As always, everything we've ever purchased from there has come out wonderff sometimes I will take pictures So messed up!

Lam B.

Yelp
We dined on a Tuesday night and half the restaurant was full. It didn't take long for the food to arrive especially the Peking Duck. Unfortunately, the portion was small and the duck was tiny. There weren't many juicy meats to grab and eat. The worst dish was the Spicy Wontons as it wasn't spicy nor appetizing. Everyone tried one Wonton and wouldn't dare eat another. The Mango Shrimp was a dissapointment because you can't taste much Mango in the sauce. I had a fatty piece of the Garlic Pork Ribs but my friends had tender pieces. The best dish was the Spicy Fried Shrimp. They gave the table complimentary soup so that was nice and unexpected.

LoLo G.

Yelp
Mouse...no apology...no acknowledgment that this is unusual or assurance will be handled. Sunday night went for dinner with a friend and the scallops were ok but chicken dish was delish until we heard the booth next to us screaming and jumping up and a little mouse ran past us. All over US and globally I have never encounter a mouse inside a restaurant. We told our waitress who say Oh...so it's gone now was her response. So disappointed and embarrassed to recommend and take a friend there. Didn't notice till now on yelp they barely passed the last health inspection report. This is so unsanitary and unfortunate since the last experience was very good but if there is a mouse in dining room what is going on in the kitchen...

Siera M.

Yelp
I had a Peking duck today and it was enjoyable as other reviews said. But where's meat?? There were many strips of crispy skin but the amount of meat is so little. Where did all the meat go?

Jenny W.

Yelp
It's a great place to get peking duck and pan fried buns. The restaurant is beautiful decorated with blown up Chinese watercolor paintings as wall paper, and has its own set of logo imprinted silverware. The peking duck had everything it should have: crispy skin, moist meat with fat rendered off, thinly sliced scallion and cucumbers, thin wraps (none of those modern day version fluffy baos) and sweet sauce. The pan fried buns had nice crispy bottoms. Reason for three stars is I couldn't pinpoint what cuisine it was. There were menu items that were Sichuanese, but cooked in a way that was more Cantonese/mild. Maybe it helps promote the food to a wider audience, but it left me confused and unsatisfied. You expect to get something that was supposed to be garlicky, salty and spicy but you get a watered down version imo.

Bill B.

Yelp
We eat here when we're in town because it's great! Great food! Great service snd the ambience is great now that they have added the new addition with the windows and lobster tanks!

Lucy M.

Yelp
Since Tian Tian opened last year, I've been with various friends and family several times, and it's been a great experience every time! Sometimes service can be slow, but most of the dishes here are hits and of course I can't write a review without mentioning the Peking duck. Super crispy skin and fatty duck + the thinnest wonton skin wrappers, what's not to like? It also comes with some excellent and fragrant duck soup -- if you're a cilantro hater like myself, you can ask them to not put cilantro in it! Our other favorite dishes to order here have been the regular dishes that come with white rice. The baos are alright (xiao long bao not soupy enough and shengjianbao doesn't have quite the right meat/dough ratio or crispyness underneath), but you can't go wrong with the sautéed green beans, the garlic pork ribs, the black pepper sizzling beef, and the royal chicken. Last fall we came for my fiance's father's birthday and they had the robot waiter come over to our table and sing happy birthday to him, which I thought was a nice touch. It gets pretty busy during dinner rush hour on the weekends so try to make a reservation ahead of time. Looking forward to my next visit!
