12 Best Markets in Mexico City for All Your Souvenirs | Condé Nast Traveler
"The Sunday market has roots in the pre-Hispanic period, when people would convene to sell and trade at a local tianguis. So it's maybe no surprise that the specialty here is antiques: mid-century modern furniture, vintage clothes, records, and jewelry. Though bargaining is expected, vendors know the worth of what they hold, so that original Saarinen end table won't come cheap. Order a michelada (Mexican beer mixed with fresh lime juice and a trinity of Tabasco, Worcestershire, and soy sauces) to get the liquid courage you need to argue the best price." - Scarlett Lindeman, Lauren Stroh

It’s famous for a reason. This isn’t just a flea market, it’s a whole damn scene. Music, micheladas, art, antiques and ropa americana. Even if you don’t plan on buying anything, just the people watching and party atmosphere make it worth going.
Sure it’s gritty and crowded, but I think there is something there for everyone.

This is a fantastic tianguis and a must do while in Mexico City. It's huge and it has everything you could want! There is a huge vintage clothing section where you can find some seriously fun and eclectic styles and people! There are also lots of antique and vintage glassware, brass, jewelry, everything! Rows and rows of books (very very few in English). Piles and piles of good clothing for 50 pesos each! Food and produce, and people partying on huge cups of booze. There are parts that can be incredibly crowded, but you can escape those without too much difficulty by ducking over to another row. This market is very friendly to LGBTQ+. As a single woman I felt very safe as well.

One of the coolest flee markets I’ve ever been to. It honestly has some super unique and special things, from furniture and old telephones to unique books and jewellery.
If your coming during hot weather be prepared, there is barely any shade and you can really feel the heat. Keep hydrated and consider an umbrella.

If you’re looking for the vintage market this isn’t going to point you to the right place! I got very lost for an hour or two before finally finding it. Search: Tianguis de Antiguedades Lagunilla instead & have fun!

Fun atmosphere, it's a vintage market, a second hand clothes market and a street party in one!

Not much antique though. The few do asking price too high.
