Loved this place. Such a beautiful Buddhist temple with amazing views surrounding. A must visit in Taroko.

Timed entry and all the trails are closed up the gorge. But there are services here. There is a really nice hotel but only hotel guests can go inside. There is a small shop everyone can go to. Two food stalls, free bathrooms nearby. Best attraction was the monastery/temple complex. Also a gift shop and a restaurant there. Drove up about 30 mins past this and didn’t see much and the road gets a little worse. I’d recommend coming here and then turning around to go back

The whole area here is incredible. It's packed to the brim with awe inspiring nature. There's great cycling, hiking and just marvelling at the sheer scale of rock faces. But watch out for the cheeky monkeys that will steal any unguarded food.

Nice spot to stop for food (restaurants serving local options), snacks (a 7/11 is located here), a stroll, and some pics. Watch out for the aggressive monkeys, who won't hesitate to steal your food and definitely don't feed them. The local business owners will yell at you for encouraging the monkeys' bad behavior if you feed them.

Good pit stop for lunch and rest area. There is a 7-11, few restaurants and food stalls here (beware of the aggressive macaques snatching food). Beautiful scenery of the gorge and Xiangde Temple, which is just across the bridge and up a steep flight of stairs.

13. November 2024: Came down from Wuling by bicycle. Rest stop before road closure: Open until 1pm or after 4pm. Pretty abandoned place but still beautiful. Bathroom opposite, just got fixed and has water now, 7-Eleven still closed! Be aware of monkeys, there are a lots! They literally try steal things/food from inside your car or anything they can snatch 😳

Make sure you get there ard 3pm because the temple up the hill closes at 4pm sharp. You need time to walk up, walk around, and also to try the vegetarian food sold by the nuns there! Really good! Awesome beautiful views of the gorge and mountains + a 7-11 for beer! Don't drink and drive though! The roads are narrow and treachous when raining.

This is definitely a spectacular scenic area people should come and enjoy. Great canyons, beautiful sceneries as its famous reputation. We even saw monkeys swing among trees over high cliffs which was a great experience we didn't expect on our trip.
