Nice stop with enough parking, but all shops were closed when we reached at about 3:30pm, except for the hotel. There are specific timing where you can travel up from taroko visit centre to tian xiang park, and specific timing to leave tian xiang and back to Taroko visitor center. We spent about an 30mins to 1 hour walking around the area

Good and safe area to rest. There was only 1 shop open for food and drinks. This is also the area where restroom is available. Be careful of monkeys that may steal your food or belongings.

Loved this place. Such a beautiful Buddhist temple with amazing views surrounding. A must visit in Taroko.

The road reconstruction after the earthquake and typhoon strike is almost completed (visited January 2026), easy and smooth scooter ride! Definitely worth visiting, breathtaking sceneries. Toilets, tea and soup shops are open. The road opening hours can be found on Taroko official website, do not worry about it too much, you will be guided by the construction workers and you can always follow some locals.

Timed entry and all the trails are closed up the gorge. But there are services here. There is a really nice hotel but only hotel guests can go inside. There is a small shop everyone can go to. Two food stalls, free bathrooms nearby. Best attraction was the monastery/temple complex. Also a gift shop and a restaurant there. Drove up about 30 mins past this and didn’t see much and the road gets a little worse. I’d recommend coming here and then turning around to go back

The whole area here is incredible. It's packed to the brim with awe inspiring nature. There's great cycling, hiking and just marvelling at the sheer scale of rock faces. But watch out for the cheeky monkeys that will steal any unguarded food.

Nice spot to stop for food (restaurants serving local options), snacks (a 7/11 is located here), a stroll, and some pics. Watch out for the aggressive monkeys, who won't hesitate to steal your food and definitely don't feed them. The local business owners will yell at you for encouraging the monkeys' bad behavior if you feed them.

Good pit stop for lunch and rest area. There is a 7-11, few restaurants and food stalls here (beware of the aggressive macaques snatching food). Beautiful scenery of the gorge and Xiangde Temple, which is just across the bridge and up a steep flight of stairs.
