Delicious Central Vietnamese cuisine. Highlights included the soft shell crab, jack fruit salad, and lotus leaf rice - amazing! And the yam dessert was a sweet treat!

Tucked away at the end of a narrow alley, Tib Huế Restaurant feels like a hidden gem. Though reaching it can be a bit tricky—especially for cars due to a lane barrier outside—the experience inside is worth the effort. The decor immediately transports you to the ancient imperial city of Huế. The space is filled with traditional wooden furniture, soft lantern lighting, and a striking arrangement of colorful incense sticks that creates a nostalgic and artistic ambiance. The setting truly captures the essence of Huế, offering an immersive and cultural dining atmosphere. Food-wise, the dishes are beautifully presented and carry strong central Vietnamese character: • Bún bò Huế: Rich, aromatic beef broth served with thick rice noodles, tender beef shank, pork knuckle, blood cubes, and herbs—flavorful and comforting. • Stir-fried sesbania flower: A light yet flavorful dish, sautéed with pork and garlic for a wonderful texture and floral earthiness. • Bánh cuốn tôm thịt: Delicate steamed rice rolls filled with shrimp and pork, accompanied by fish sauce with pickled garlic and chili—smooth, chewy, and balanced. • Gỏi cuốn (fresh spring rolls): Fresh, crunchy rolls filled with shrimp, herbs, and vermicelli, served with a rich, nutty hoisin-peanut dipping sauce. • Bánh bèo Huế: A classic Huế delicacy—steamed rice cakes topped with dried shrimp, crispy pork skin, and scallion oil—served with light fish sauce and green chili. Service was polite, though a bit on the slower side, especially during busy hours. Still, the authenticity and attention to cultural detail make Tib a lovely spot to enjoy Huế cuisine in a charming and peaceful environment.

We had a best Hue food, the atmosphere was nice with a warm, vibrant decoration. But the service was bad, waiters didn't pay attention to the diners, there is a room for improvement. Overall, good!

Food was delicious - authentic Hue style food. I ordered 5 things, all vegetarian although it is a full menu place: goi cuon, clay pot tofu, clay pot rice, a mushroom vegetable dish, and a pot of delicious hot tea. The clay pot tofu was in the spicier side. All very inexpensive but looks expensive. Servers were all very nice and efficient. Ambience from entry down a very nice corridor with hanging lanterns and lights, to beautiful patterned concrete floor tiles.

We did not have a reservation but they were able to accommodate us almost immediately. They were very polite and did try to seat us as fast as possible. The we made our order and requested our drinks as soon as possible while waiting for the food. The food came at very different times. The spring rolls and fried rice arrived after 15 mins. I must say, the food was awesome. Especially the rice. The portions were not big enough for the price they charge but that's subjective. Maybe it was so tasty? Or we wanted more due to hunger? But, in comparison to similar resteraunts, it wasn't enough. My order took an additional 15 mins which was pork ribs. We had to ask if they had forgotten by accident or something? Which I think they did to be honest. Because 30 mins from from order to serving doesn't make sense for a small portion of ribs. I will consider language barrier and maybe I didn't exain properly but pointing at the picture surely doesn't require language. Regardless, my order arrived and was very hot and tasty. But, I was now eating by myself as I begged my wife to eat her food and not to wait for me. To go for a dinner date, and eat at different times is terrible service in my opinion. It kinda ruined the dinner date. Besides that the host was very nice, the food was good and venue is beautifully decorated. Negatives: slow serving and seated at the entrance. But, we had no reservation so couldn't ask for a different table. However we watched a two tourists walk in how said they had no reservation and were seated at the table that we would have enjoyed a lot more. That was annoying. Clearly, two American tourists are higher priority to me and my Asian wife. Verdict: Will we be back? No Would I recommended it? Yes, for groups of 4 - 6 people. Regret trying it out? No.. It was good food served my nice people in a nice venue. But, it would have been better if I didn't have ro wait 30 mins for ribs watching my wife eat. And then she watched me eat. Not how I think a dinner date should be. Worst part? American tourists (2) were treated much better than us. Which pissed me off the most. Apparently they accommodate white people over Asian people.

It’s takes some steps from the main road at Hai Ba Trung to get to Tib. The food quality is quite consistent. It’s is worth if you’re visiting only for the Hue style rice cakes. We like the banh ut tom chay or the steamed rice roll with shredded shrimp. The rice roll was very tender and chewy but not sticky and the shredded shrimp paired well with the fish sauce.

Nhà Hàng Tib is a fantastic traditional Vietnamese restaurant that offers amazing food and great service. The staff is extremely friendly and the atmosphere is clean and inviting. If you're looking to try some authentic Vietnamese cuisine, this is the perfect place to go! During my visit, I was impressed by the knowledge of the young male staff, who went out of his way to explain the menu to us even though his English wasn't perfect. Every dish we ordered was delicious and we had no complaints at all. I would highly recommend Nhà Hàng Tib to anyone looking for a great traditional Vietnamese dining experience!

Saw the good reviews and went to try. Was a little disappointed with the food taste. Perhaps it’s just personal preference but it’s not really to my taste. Soup boiled in coconut container cauliflower and broccoli, chicken. ‘Pineapple’ rice was abit mushy, with the ingredients similar to those in the coconut soup and nothing like the Thai style pineapple rice. Steamed rolls were about too gluey. Pot of chrysanthemum cost more than beer. Customers then were mostly foreigners rather than locals.
