This place is a true hidden gem. It is tiny inside, maybe 10 tables. But don’t let it deceive you. The owner, staff, and food is absolutely top notch. The portions are huge (shareable size) and the flavors are amazing. We got the hash, lobster bomb, French toast, and the pancake because it all sounded to good to pass. I highly recommend this place to any and everyone. I promise you will go home with a happy full belly.

There's an excellent reason this tiny gem of a restaurant is featured in 100 Things to do in Tacoma Before You Die!! Absolutely incredible, locally-sourced food, with enormous portions served in an eclectic, homey atmosphere. Tibbett's is famous for their brunch Lobster Bomb, but we chose the mushroom omelet and salted caramel banana pancake - both were delicious! The chef comes out to speak to each guest, too, making you feel like family. Seating is by reservation only, so call ahead. Highly recommended!

If you like quirky finds, little hole in the walls, pleasant surprises, then this is it. The food is wonderful! Farm to table and you can taste the difference. Chef comes out to say hello and will tell you his story if you ask. The service is on point and friendly. I ordered the Smoked Salmon Quiche and was delightfully surprised. My husband ordered the Hash It Out, and really enjoyed it. Portions are big and we had some to take home.

This place is worth the drive from anywhere in Washington state. The owner gave are family a vip experience. It was probably the freshest restaurant food I have ever ate. It was an amazing experience. I did not know what to expect, but it was mind blowing how much passion the owner and staff had for their love for customers serving and the food. Small spot make a reservation but a rad spot. The quality and quantity for the price was amazing. Plus background music was on point. Well beyond my expectations. Must try in the 253!

First of all just call and make your reservation and go! Some of the best food I’ve ever eaten. We celebrated my husband’s birthday at Tibbitt’s this past weekend. You walk in that door and you’re instantly family. Shawn and his staff are quite amazing. They all take pride in what they do and it shows. Shawn spoke with every single customer and asked everyone’s name. I’ve never seen that before. But I loved it. He even took my husband and I back and showed us kitchen and spoke with us on such a personal level. I could go on for forever about the hospitality but let me get to the food. I had the lobster bomb. I love food. I would say I’m a self described foodie. I was not expecting that first bite to be that good. It made me dance. I could have cried it was so good. Food doesn’t make me cry, music does. Ok so my son had the caramel banana pancake. I don’t like pancakes very much and I sure as hell do not like syrup. But listen that pancake tasted like banana all the way through. And not banana flavoring. Like they peeled a banana and made a pancake out of it. And it was crispy. Not like it was burnt. Like that crispy piece of bbq that has all the flavor in it. My husband had the hash. He loved it! I of course tried it. Reindeer meet is not my favorite. Yes I’ve had my share of it. This reindeer sausage tho was delicious. Not gamey at all. In my experience it’s always gamey. Anyways we are already planning our next visit.

Very cute and cozy breakfast/brunch spot. The food was really good and fresh. The menu included specials that were a mix of local Native American cuisine with a southern flair. I had the lobster roll which is something you wouldn't find at any breakfast spot, it was so unique and tasty. My hubby had the breakfast gumbo with cornbread. Again another dish you would never find anywhere else..we loved this dish so much. In addition to the great food and large portions, the owner and chef was amazing and the highlight of our visit. We never had an owner/chef greet us at the door and check in on us during the meal. He even took us for a tour of the kitchen. We will definitely be back several more times.

At $70+ for two including tip, this falls squarely in brunch pricing territory — but at that price point, the food needs to deliver, and it didn’t quite get there. The lobster bomb arrived looking impressive in its bread bowl, but the presentation was doing most of the heavy lifting. Strip that away and you’re looking at two eggs, bacon, hollandaise, a slice of avocado, and a single potato. The hollandaise was bland, and the lobster — the whole point of the dish — was essentially absent in both quantity and flavor. The smoked salmon quiche was genuinely good, but $27 for a slice is a tough ask unless the experience around it is exceptional. The ambience is lovely and the service was attentive and warm — no complaints there. But when reviews build up expectations this high, the kitchen has to meet them. This time it didn’t.

Came here for brunch at 10am to celebrate my Birthday. I wasn’t expecting to have such a personable experience and to be greeted by the owner. We ordered the hash and the French toast. Both dishes were superb and we loved how the food was plated. Everything looked so full and rich, that it just makes your mouth water. Shawn Tibbits even gave us a tour of his kitchen and it was amazing to hear his story and that he strives for sustainability and zero waste. We really support those practices and Alaskan mentality. I can’t wait to eat here again!

Love this local place! You want flavor, a unique experience and awesome interaction with staff and owner. The food is so amazing I bring 10 people here every month for business guy's breakfast. If you want bland and Denny's garbage food stick w the greasy unflavored multi chain places. I you want authentic flavors of the Northwest...come here!

On October 26, 2025, at 9:00 AM, we had an incredible breakfast experience at TibbittsFernHill. We couldn't resist trying the Lobster Bomb, and it was absolutely amazing. The lobster was rich, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. It was evident that everything here is made fresh with great care and passion. Chef Shawn, the owner, is genuinely one of the nicest people you'll meet. He takes the time to chat with you and makes you feel right at home. The entire restaurant exudes a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The décor is unique, creative, and full of character, instantly putting you in a good mood. What sets TibbittsFernHill apart is its seasonal and ever-changing menu. This ensures that there's always something new and exciting to try every time you visit. Everything on the menu is fresh, locally sourced, and zero waste, which enhances the taste of the food. You can tell how much thought and effort goes into each dish. We also tried a few other dishes, and they were just as delicious. The coffee was outstanding--smooth, rich, and perfect for a leisurely Sunday morning. TibbittsFernHill operates only on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays and requires reservations. This system helps maintain a calm and organized atmosphere. The prices are very reasonable considering the exceptional quality and experience you receive. Overall, TibbittsFernHill is a special place. Our car was being worked on in the area, and since it was going to be a couple of hours, we decided to find a spot for lunch. We saw the great reviews for Tibbitts and decided to give it a try! It's reservations only, so we called and were offered an 11am or 12pm slot--even though it was already 10:50am. The hostess was super accommodating and said it was fine if we came a few minutes late. We grabbed a Lyft, and upon arriving we were greeted and asked for the name on the reservation. Turns out it was the owner himself who seated us (we didn't realize that at first, lol). The menu was straightforward, which I actually loved no overwhelming pages to scroll through. I ordered the Lobster Bomb, and my fiancé went for the Burrito. He asked if it was a decent size, and our waitress told us it was 8 lbs! Safe to say we had leftovers. While we were waiting, the owner, Shawn, stopped by our table to introduce himself. That personal touch really stood out he was super funny, down-to-earth, and checked in with everyone. When our food came out, we were shocked by the massive burrito (seriously, it could feed a family of four). Both dishes were delicious, and our waitress was attentive and kind throughout the meal. The decor was fun, too walls signed by guests and autographed photos to read while waiting. AND after we finished, Shawn invited us into the kitchen to see everything behind the scenes! It honestly felt like a little field trip. He even gave us a "VIP exit" on the way out, which made the whole experience that much more memorable. All in all, this place is definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. Great food, fun atmosphere, and an owner who clearly cares about creating a memorable experience for his guests. Great food & unique experience. The owner is such a friendly guy and gives off the best vibes! The staff was also friendly and attentive. You need a reservation -- and you are seated at your time slot (unless they are running late) and given one hour to order and eat. No alcohol (the owner is a recovering alcoholic), and nothing but respect for his direction on this. They have juices and other drink options to choose from. The portions are really large -- so we shared three items. The Hash It Out is AMAZING! All the different flavors on the plate come together so well. This was the favorite of the table. The Mango Coconut French Toast was also really good. It was sweet, as you'd expect, but great flavor combo. The Strawberry Fry Bread fell short for us. Definitely recommend checking this place out!!

I have heard some pretty good things about this place and yes it's pretty off the hook, I really enjoyed the whole experience here. The food is really good, I ordered the lobster bomb which I enjoyed very much. At our table we also had the frittata and the gumbo, whiteout the shellfish and they loved it., I am not a sweets person but we also ordered the French toast to share that was so good I would totally order it again. This is a kitchy little place that is pretty much wonderful, the eclectic decor is great. the staff are great friendly and helpful, Shawn the owner and chef is awesome telling his story while he takes everyone in like family. There couldn't have been a better welcome to the Tacoma area. My friends and I were looking for a last minute brunch spot upon arrival, and Shawn was kind enough to let us eat despite not having a reservation. It's awesome to see a native owned place + the energy exhibits such a welcoming and homey nature I haven't experienced else where. There are tons of cool pictures and trinkets all over that showed how loved this place truly is. It exceeded my expectations with the food + portions, and especially after Shawn showed us the bts of how it's all done. Will absolutely come back when I'm in the area and suggest everyone else too!

Best breakfast in Tacoma! Hearty portions of the most delicious food. We got the Lobster Bomb, Hash it out and Coconut Mango French Toast. They were all indulgent, full of flavor and texture. The waitress was friendly and everything was well timed. The owner came out a couple times to introduce himself and ask how things were. Love the unique decorations, interior and natural lighting from the front windows.

We arrived for our 10:00 reservation and the owner let us know that they were running a little behind due to some slow eaters in the 9:00 reservation slot. I don't think we ended up getting our food until around 10:45, we did appreciate that he was communicative and apologized for the delay. He gave us all an introduction to the restaurant before we ordered which was a nice little touch. We were a little bummed because we wanted to try the pear French toast bread pudding and hash but they recently switched to their fall menu so they didn't have either of those dishes. We got the pumpkin French toast bread pudding and the bomb instead. The plating is so fun and both dishes were pretty good! Overall loved the charm of the place, the food was just slightly underwhelming to us but I think that's because we had set our expectations too high because of all the other reviews.

Incredible food! Great combination of flavors, ingredients that added flavors and texture to each bite! Service was excellent, and wait staff was attentive. Owner shared his personal story creating a warm and friendly environment...suddenly felt like I was part of a family experience!

Today was our 1st visit to Tibbitts and I look forward to going again. You will not find a more friendly out-going group of people as Chef Shawn and his crew! The food is epic and photo-worthy but we were so struck when our plates arrived, we just got to work and did not pause to take pictures. Haha! Take a trip to Tibbitts @ Fern Hill but before you do, be sure to make your reservation because they are required.

I'm disappointed that it took us two years of living in Tacoma to make it to Tibbits @ Fern Hill, but better late than never I suppose. What a fantastic experience we had dining with Shawn and his staff. We brought family from out of town and all four of us were absolutely wowed by the experience. Shawn is such a warm and welcoming owner and chef, and his culinary talent is incredible. My husband and I shared the Lobster Bomb--fantastic choice, my FIL had the Skoden Hash--based on his reactions, also fantastic, and my MIL had the Strawberry Alaskan Frybread--we were all wowed by how massive and delicious this was too. We will absolutely be returning and encourage others who are looking for a phenomenal breakfast/brunch experience to check this place out. You won't be disappointed!

Tibbitts @ Fern Hill is something special. The food is amazing and clearly made with a lot of care and intentionality in a remarkably small kitchen, but what really sets this place above so many others, is Shawn the Owner/Chef. Tibbitts requires reservations (just call and ask for one, you'll have plenty of options) and for a good reason. By doing this, it allows them to maintain a zero-waste establishment. You can tell how important this is to the owner, as he comes around to converse with each table throughout their meals to explain his purpose and get to know his customers. I had the lobster bomb, my husband had another dish that ends in bomb (sorry, completely forgot the name!) that was made with reindeer sausage gravy, and our two young kids shared the coconut mango french toast. The portions were huge, the food was flavorful and creative, and the eclectic vibes of the restaurant felt Tacoma-y in the best kind of way. Next time we go back I'm looking forward to trying the salmon quiche and fry bread.

Wow. This may be the best brunch/breakfast place I've been to. This is a small restaurant with a few tables and eclectic decorations. The menu is limited and it's by reservation only. I was lucky to get a reservation on the same day. Both my friend and I got the lobster bomb and we both thought it was amazing. The sauce is rich and decadent and there are chunks of lobsters, eggs and potatoes inside a bread bowl, topped with crispy bacons. Every component goes together so well and it was super satisfying and comforting to eat. They have a few drink options not on the menu and I got a strawberry lemonade which was very refreshing. The portion for the price is good. At the very end, the chef came out and chatted with us and showed me his kitchen. Overall this was a wonderful experience and I am definitely coming back!

Absolutely phenomenal Brunch experience! The food was truly gourmet-style deliciousness, with every bite exceeding our expectations. But what really made the meal special was the exceptional service - the owner took the time to come out and chat with us, adding a personal touch that made us feel like we were part of the family. The atmosphere was also on point, with great vibes that complemented the fantastic food perfectly. We can't wait to come back and experience it all again. This place is amazing. Shawn Tibbetts is an awesome guy all of his family are wonderful. And the food is the best! But I was playing do yourself a favor and eat here!

We didn't realize that this place is reservation only (super fresh food that is ordered and prepared according to reservation). But we were lucky and there was just enough for us and I'm so glad. The food was amazing and filling. The staff was awesome- it felt like going to a friends place for dinner. Fun, chill, and full of good delicious vibes. We will definitely be back, but with a reservation next time!

Tibbitts at Fern Hill, by reservation only. Chef Shawn Tibbitts is some kind of wonderful genius, turning out amazing food in the tiniest kitchen you could ever imagine. Chef and his staff make everyone feel at home the minute you cross the threshold. We don't dine out often because, you know, we can usually make it better. Not this time! We spent the whole time trying to figure out how that French toast had such a crisp, caramelized surface (truly better than anything you've ever had before) while the center was a sublime bread custard. Give Shawn a call and get ready for the best damn breakfast/brunch of a lifetime.

Tibbitts is one of the best establishments in Tacoma, and has rightly (and consistently) earned its place among Yelp's Top Places to Eat list. This is a passion project born of Shawn Tibbitts' desire for a responsibly sourced community gathering place. He only keeps a few very specific hours and strongly recommends making a reservation because those hours sell out. The restaurant itself is very small, with only a few small tables and an even smaller kitchen. Every time I've visited, Shawn has come out and introduced himself, asking us for our names and making us feel welcome. He is open about the fact that he's on the autism spectrum, which I - as an autistic person - appreciate, and I truly understand his commitment to the "show" that is the entire guest experience. He'll often give kitchen tours, where we learn that he only orders what he needs to make that day, and strives for minimal food waste. He cooks in the back on a small camping stove, making each dish specially to order. And oh the dishes!! Each meal is always a heaping portion - once I literally got four meals out of one burrito - and every one is absolutely scrumptious. Local mushrooms, creative plating, and a variety of nuanced flavors blow my mind every time. Shawn Tibbitts is a master of his craft and you absolutely must do yourself a favor and treat yourself to his work. Be sure to plan ahead by making reservations (and room in your stomach).

We had a fabulous time and will definitely be back! The food was amazing and the owner made us feel like family. I recommend the french toast and fresh mushroom frittata. We called in the morning to make a reservation that day and got lucky to have a spot.

Everything was great from the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out, you leave with a smile and a full belly of delicious food. Highly recommend to book in advance as this place does get busy. Portion size is bigger than most places, so brace yourself. His food menu changes from time to time which is nice because you get to experience something new the next time you go in. Although it is a small restaurant, the atmosphere feels like home. It was so nice to meet the owner Shawn and see him run the place and help his amazing staff.

I like the concept of reservations only and only a few days open. The food was less than. I watched a party of six eat in shifts not together. They say local ingredients but where do they get local lobster! I had the Ladenburg bomb stated it had hash browns, scrambled eggs, 2 strips of bacon and chorizo gravy. It was a large lump of bread with a small hole cut in it with 1 potato, some scrambled eggs and nice greens. The chorizo gravy was good, the eggs were bland they needed a bit of salt and pepper. Very disappointed, I will stick with Knapps or the Poodle Dog for a tasty breakfast.

Service was great. Shawn (the chef/owner) was great. Food was wonderful. Shawn bullied me to taste the reindeer sausage and I'm glad he did, it was good. We definitely will be back. Shawn.... You can't get rid of us, we family now

So delicious!!! I had the lobster bomb, and the hollandaise sauce was to die for. Coffee...very weak. My friend ordered something equally delicious. Lots of ham and reindeer sausage. I have been waiting for a day off to go to Tibbitts and I was not disappointed at all. Will definitely be back as soon as I get a day off.

Make a reservation! My family had a great experience on Saturday morning for breakfast. The menu is short and sweet. I had the three meat hash, my wife had the mango French toast and my son had the frycakes. Big food out of a small kitchen Oh my it was was amazing. The chef and owner Shawn came and sat at our table for a few minutes talked about his business and the menu items. When was the last time the chef came to your table? The entire encounter was fabulous. So good we made reservations for Prime Rib dinner. Oh don't let me forget. Make a reservation! The place is tiny and he can only sit a few. It's worth it!

highly recommend! the food is delicious and the owner is the nicest, most genuine person -- truly there to make people smile through his food and his friendly greetings and chats! seriously one of the best experiences i've had at a restaurant... it's so cozy and he truly makes you feel so welcomed. he came by with his lovely smile and after chatting with him he understood how much i appreciate food and took me back into his kitchen to show me that they have no microwaves, all fresh ingredients, and nothing pre warmed... so basically everything you get is made with fresh ingredients and when you order it! He truly makes you feel like you're so special and truly thankful that you came to eat and enjoy his food! I got the lobster bomb and the blueberry french toast. the lobster bomb is a definite "wow" factor presentation. it's basically a fun twist on a eggs benedict with a large fluffy piece of bread (looks similar to a potato bun) but it is SO soft. the french toast was VERY sweet. i personally don't like sweet things (more of a savory gal) so i had a few bites and it was lovely but that was my max. if you're more of a sweet person, it's definitely a must try. my friend who likes sweet more than savory said it was amazing to her she had a hard time stopping. also it is huge i'd say 3x6" piece and thick! go ahead and make your reservations via the phone number listed. he's so so friendly!

My wife and I came here for our anniversary this weekend. We had heard of the place, but this was our first time. Shawn and the team are incredible. He is engaging with customers and participates in all aspects of the restaurant beyond just cooking. The food was very good, and the portion sizes very hearty. You will leave full. I had the Ladenburg Law Bomb and thought it was great. My wife has the Mother Earth "frybread" which was equally fantastic. I loved how Shawn and the staff would show the order to other patrons that came in before he delivered to our table. It was a nice touch because as a patron myself, I often am curious what something looks like regardless of how it's described. We also requested a half-size of the Blueberry Lemon French toast because it looked killer. Shawn actually came by, after our other dishes were delivered, and told him to let him know when we wanted the French toast. I thought this was SUPER smart. He knew we were first-timers and he knew his portion sizes. So by doing this he saved us the risk of buying something we weren't going to eat, and saving himself the loss of food if he needed to throw it out. Very smart and thoughtful. I can't recommend Tibbitts enough. I want to not tell anyone about it so that I can keep it for myself We'll definitely be back, and I'm going to send my friends here so they too can have a wonderful time. Thank you Shawn and staff!

Finally made it to Tibbitts for Saturday brunch. This place has been on my list for years and did not disappoint. Both the LobsterBomb and Pistachio and Pear French Toast lived up to the hype. The owner and small staff were friendly and engaging, and made my wife and I feel like we were good friends with all of them. Tibbitts has many outstanding accolades, and they are well deserved. Worth the visit!

Put me down as a repeat customer. Or a supporter of the establishment. Or as someone who's obviously OBSESSED. I can't say enough about this place! Came with my daughters for an early breakfast (9 am reservation, DON'T anticipate getting in here without one!) and we all agreed - each dish felt like partaking in culinary ART. Not only visually pleasing, the combination of ingredients and flavors was an explosion for the senses. The "tiny" burrito was loaded with fillings and had just the right amount of HEAT to balance the richness. The lobster bomb was, of course, a HIT. Enjoyed that rich white sauce infused with decadent bits of lobster. Oh. My. The seasonal mushroom dish was beyond description, light and rich, filling and satisfying, decadent and addictive all at the same time. Again I'm overwhelmed by the dishes that come out from this humble kitchen. What a treat.

This was quite the experience! The food portions were very large but it was still very tasty. I was surprised you aren't able to have any liquor here, so make sure you aren't craving mimosas before you come. Because you have to make a reservation beforehand, the restaurant is small. The owner personally goes around and welcomes EVERYONE. Very friendly vibe, good food and a great spot!

Freaking amazing!! First, you NEED a reservation. We didn't have one, but the owner took care of us and allowed us seating outside at the picnic table. The menu is small, but the portion sizes are incredible! The owner made us feel warm and welcome by chatting with us and asking our names. He even gave us a tour of the tiny kitchen! Everything is farm-to-table and the owner shops at local farmers markets for fresh ingredients. There's also a lot of vegan options. The teens ordered French toast, hubby ordered the Ladenburg Law Bomb, which is funny as we know the Ladenburgs, a local family here in the area who have a law firm. I ordered the Vegan Burrito after reading other Yelp reviews. Portions are AMPLE, ambience is great, and the food is chef-kiss good! Definitely love it here!! This is a family-owned restaurant as the daughter is a server and dad is owner and chef. If you're into supporting local, definitely come here!

I've been here three times now and never leave hungry and am always so impressed by Shawn. This is a man that truly cares about his product. He spends his blood sweat and tears on this menu and gives his all to make everything so fresh!!! He operates on a ZERO waste policy!! All food is brought in FRESH and same day! Nothing sits in refrigerators overnight. It's truly a unique experience. Shawn is so excited about his food and the experience, he loves to bring the foodies back into the kitchen to get a full look at his setup. Shawn uses propane heat to cook on, to keep everything very efficient and eco friendly. I've never been to a restaurant not only cares about what they are creating, but also about what their economic impact is doing. Recently Tacoma/Seattle had a cold spell and Shawn took it upon himself to make soup and give it away to those in need on those extra cold days. Honestly, this guy is one of those people you meet and you just know - he's someone you want to be around because he shines honesty, integrity, and cheerfulness. Love this place and look forward to my next time here!! Pro tip: make a reservation - it's a small space and they are BUSY on Sat/Sun!

If you have not come by and tried the fabulous food here at Tidbits and met Shawn. You are definitely missing out on some really awesome food and a great atmosphere full of great people. We had the most wonderful breakfast here! We made reservations a couple of weeks before our visit. It's a small restaurant, and when we arrived, the tables were perfectly set up for each reservation they had. There were 4 in our party; 2 of us are vegan, 1 is gluten-free, and 1 is omni. We ordered the Vegan Winter Wonderland, the Gluten-Free Key Lime Pancake, and the Super Tiny Burrito without the tortilla. The food arrived, and it was beautiful! We all dove in and raved about how delicious each of our dishes were. When we got up to leave, the owner and chef, Shawn Tibbitts, invited us on a brief tour through the kitchen to show us his passion for making authentic food. We had such a fantastic breakfast. I highly recommend this place! Call to make your reservation, and you won't be disappointed!

What a fantastic spot on Tacoma! The food looks like a work of art and is worth of one of those tire star thing! The small place is quaint and feels like home, service is personal and prompt. Sean has such a great personality and always interacts with guests. The menu is fresh and seasonal, with a good mix of sweet and savory choices. Oh, I forgot to mention the hollandaise sauce - it's so rich and delicious. This is the best brunch in the PNW - just make sure to make reservations!

This place fires on all cylinders. Shawn even catered to my date's allergy to eggs (in everything). Outstanding is an understatement.

Not exaggerating... the Salmon in the Salmon quiche was the best I have ever had ! All of the food was outstanding! The restaurant is cozy, unique & has such a cool vibe. Shawn, it was such a pleasure to meet you! We look forward to making more reservations in the future.

Shawn is absolutely amazing! This indigenous owned establishment offers everything to you that you'd expect from a home cooked meal and even more! Shawn makes you his family when you step through that door. Make sure to call in for a reservation! I called in randomly as a traveler staying through the weekend one day and got myself into an experience that was unforgettable! The ambiance was spectacular! Food was even better!!!! I was really stunned!

Had loads of fun with the staff! Food was pretty good and huge portions and beautiful presentation. Very small and quaint on the inside. They were delayed to taking our order and we got sat maybe 15 minutes late which is fine but it felt a little icky that they then rushed us out as they have a 10 top coming in. It could have been unique to that day but I would have enjoyed sitting for another 15 minutes to chat with our friends. We were handed boxes before we finished eating and felt pressure to leave right after we signed the check. We were maybe in the restaurant for an hour and 10 minutes and were maybe eating for 30 ish minutes or less when we got the boxes. Overall, I'd go for the experience at least once and would recommend it.

This was one of the best meals I've had going out in a long time. Shawn and his peeps were very friendly and welcoming. I tried the ladenburglaw bomb and my friend had the hash. We both LOVED our meals. It was our first time in but won't be the last. I'm going to try the French toast next time. Thanks Shawn for everything yummy and the tour!

Wow. Just Woow. Me and my friend had the most genuine, warm, and inviting experience when we went for brunch on Sunday. We met Shawn and he is such an energetic and charismatic person. He spoke to us throughout our whole time we were there, he alway called us by our names each time, told us about his business, his life, and asked us about our lives and interests. This is a family business which has such a cozy and intimate atmosphere. The food was delicious and unique. All their dishes were statement dishes and well cared for. Also- you must reserve by calling! It's worth it though!! Highly recommend this restaurant!! Can't wait to come back

Amazing breakfast today! Tibbitts @ Fern Hill once again executing the perfect dining experience. Our waiter Rob was very welcoming and accommodating to me and my son. While his food could speak for itself, Shaun took the time to personally great us as well. My son was really excited to "meet the chef"! His French toast bread pudding was nice and crispy on the outside with a soft custardy center, drenched in syrup and whipped cream and even vanilla ice cream. Every kids dream breakfast I got the sausage breakfast bowl (the exact name escapes me), and savored every bite. A perfect blend of fresh ingredients and the skill of an artist who loves what they do. Thank you Tibbits for the awesome meal!

This place have been on my list forever! But I finally had the chance to check it out :) I called 2 days in advance and was able to make reservations easily. Definitely recommend reservations as it's a 50/50 chance they have walk ins. The owner guy is very fun and enthusiastic which makes the experience enjoyable. He checked us in, cooked our food, and brought it out for us as well. He even showed off some of the other dishes on the menu so we can see what it's like. The place is small, maybe fit 8-9 tables but very homey and comfortable. The staff is also very nice. We ended up getting 2 things since the portions here are gigantic: Lobster bomb 5/5 -- this was really good. I love the sauce, the bread, everything on this dish. My only critique is that the Bread was a little hard to cut with a knife but the bread itself was really good. Blueberry french toast bread pudding style -- 3.5/5 this would have been good if it was like a dessert because it was definitely on the too sweet side for me especially for a breakfast entree. Maybe if it was a sweet and savory kinda dish I would have like it more?? Overall, I definitely am glad to have tried it and maybe I next time, I'll be brave enough to take on their 8lb burrito (aka tiny burrito lol)
