Very appreciated this place with the beautiful and meaningful things of here. Long live his Holiness Dalai Lama.

A fantastic institute being run by fantastic people. Was fortunate enough to witness the rehearsal for the Nobel prize and the band performance really stood out. Saw the quaint museum too which explains a lot about the culture of Tibet. Penpa was really very helpful and resourceful in explaining everything to us. A must visit place!

Committed center to the tibetan arts. Glad to have been there for the Dalai Lama's birthday celebration.

Tibetan institute of performing arts or in short it is called TIPA . Tipa is situated on the foothills of Himachal side of the Himalayas ina beautiful city called Dharamshala where His Holy Highness Dali Lama Resides . Tipa was established to preserve Tibetan artistic heritage, especially opera, dance, and music by Dalai Lama ji in McLeodGang . Lot of Tibetan students study all the above mention arts and go all over the world to teach them in Tibetan schools ,collages etc . Tipa has a beautiful auditorium which is one of the best in Dharamshala with all facilities provided like lights ,sound ,parking space (which is very important in the mountains )good environment to organise events . Lots of Tibetan cultural events takes place here and it is a beautiful way to know about Tibetan culture and people. Non Tibetan cultural programs are also held here . People can hire the auditorium and hold their events here . I always enjoy going to Tipa to watch shows here . If you are around Dharamshala do check out this place and explore the events happening here .

I have attended their cultural program on Mcleodganj on 08-04-22. and i have enjoyed alot. and they were so friendly and cooperative to explain everything about their program. institute has good environment and helpful people's.

The Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts (TIPA) is one of the pioneering cultural institutes established through the vision of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. The institute aims to preserve and promote Tibetan musical heritage and associated arts. Students are also taught in traditional folk instruments and songs from Tibet’s different region. Highly trained and polished, the professional artistes of the institute serve as cultural ambassadors of Tibetan diaspora. Effectively functioning as a semi autonomous entity, the academy is presided over by the Department of Region and Culture, Central Tibetan Administration. Recommended

Beautiful small and humble museum with some costumes, masks, musical instruments and books. Most labels are in Tibetan though
