Came for NYE and had a good time. We did feel like most of the dishes leaned sweeter with the sauces. The scallops 4/5 had good flavor but the texture was slightly undercooked which is better than over done I suppose. Bison Short rib 5/5 and it was fall off the bone delicious! Surf and turf 4/5 good flavor The salad 5/5 tasted fresh perfect balance of sweet and tart. Chocolate mousse 5/5 would back come just for this! Drinks 3/5 although I love my drinks strong, I like the alcohol flavor to be hidden for it to be enjoyable for me. Service 5/5 our waiter was fantastic with the recommendations and taking care of us. I actually love that the ambiance was simple and cozy inside but it would been nice for there to be more decorative lighting around the building especially during the holidays. Overall would come back! Thank you Tiburon for making our nye dinner special!

We've been wanting to try Tiburon for awhile so we made a reservation to give it a try for date night. First impression: This is a nice intimate place. We were seated promptly and a candle was lit at our table setting a calm and romantic dinner experience. Tiburon does not have a big menu but the choices were perfect. We decided on the the Kansas strip steak and the night special Foiegras which was a great surprise. The chef's in the kitchen really know what they are going. The flavors were delicious. Nothing was plain butter... delicious! Not normally fans of salad with fruit and nuts but again another pleasant surprise! We enjoyed the pallet cleanser before our main courses were served. Absolutely delicious! The steaks were cooked perfectly. The veggies were delicious! What an enjoyable evening. We will be back. The staff here is very attentive and friendly. Well done Tiburon we look forward to our next date night with you!

One of Utah’s gem restaurants, and a must try! Every course of the meal was fantastic, amazing service, and beautiful atmosphere! They have their own garden behind the restaurant where they source a lot of their fresh vegetables from. I tried the Elk (first time), and it was fantastic! Everyone at our table raved about their entrees and the food overall. Multiple great dessert dishes to choose from as well!

Our waitress was so sweet! She had short reddish hair. Our food was amazing and so was our service! 10/10 recommend! Everything was cooked to perfection. We also loved our dessert!

We had a big group from work and it was handled very well. All the food was amazing! The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful! The Elk Steak is something I was really glad I tried! I will return when I am in the area. Came back, Lamb tenderloin is delicious!

Wow what an amazing place!!!! We came here for our anniversary and it was so worth it! We loved the house salad (comes with all entrees), the sorbet was delicious and fresh. Our entrees were some of the best we’ve ever eaten, so tender and delicious! Our server, Cailin, was really great, and helpful with offering his opinions of dishes on the menu, and was very attentive. We had a reservation for 5:30, and the restaurant quickly filled up. I would recommend getting a reservation. The seating wasn’t too squished in my opinion, and the restaurant got a little bit loud but not bad at all. The atmosphere was really nice. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a special occasion, or even a delicious meal!

We visited Tiburon for our anniversary for the third year in a row, and it did not disappoint! Our sitter fell through, so we called ahead and the staff told us our newborn and toddler were welcome! (They seated us in a corner away from the other occupied tables, and that way we didn't have to worry so much about disturbing other guests.) I got my usual--scallops, salmon, and chocolate mousse. This year we also tried the chicken and polenta appetizer, which was delicious (if heavier than we expected). Our meals also included the delicious house salad and cantaloupe sorbet, and the dessert was on the house for our anniversary! As usual, much of the fresh produce was grown onsite. The server told us the kitchen staff arrive early to pick what's needed. The atmosphere here is excellent. It's a small and exclusive space with beautiful red roses by the windows. We love how special this place feels and will definitely be back again!

I really love coming here for our celebrations. We have come here for our anniversary for several years now. I love getting the filet, and we always start with the pork belly for an appetizer. We seriously LOVE that one. I get my filet with mushrooms and it was so delicious and always perfectly cooked. Their salad is always amazing!!! Our waiter was so nice and the place is always so very clean and well kept. I know for sure we will be back because I love it so much! It is a fine dining experience even for a jeans girl and I love that I can wear casual clothing and not feel out of place.

It was our friend's bday, and they had a cute birthday sign with some lil gold star confetti on the table. Sooo cuteeee! They were so nice to accommodate us even though we were almost an hour late. Much appreciated! No complaints about the food we ordered (apps and mains). Everyone pretty much ate everything. We kept asking for more bread and butter. The butter was addicting. I think it had pimento in it? Ample parking in the lot. There's outdoor and indoor patio seating, but we opted for indoor since the evening was still hot outside.

Where to start. First and foremost Calin took great care of us. His recommendations for appetizers were spot on. We had the scallops and crab cakes. Delicious. Next we had their house salad which was a nice change to our rich appetizers. They offered us an orange sorbet as a palette cleanser. That was fantastic as I could have devoured an entire bowl. It was made with fresh squeezed oranges. We had the Elk which was cooked to perfection and their special, the snake river wagu. Stuffed we took the cheese cake to go. Seating outside on the patio was fantastic as it wasn't too warm or too chilly. We now have done all three sister restaurants and will have this in our rotation. Sorry for the lack of photos, food was delicious and came out fast.

Food: 9/10 - scallops were melt in your mouth delicious. Roasted chicken was a great size most tender & flavorful. I loved the jalepeno cheesy grits. Not a huge fan of the thick Marsala sauce wish I had gotten it on the side. Carrots were super hard not al dente. I like when I can cut through mine. Service: 10/10 - everyone was thoughtful and amazing especially as we were dining with a 2 yr old. Ambience: 10/10 super pretty lights inside a little cold. Would come again for a special occasion.

Absolutely incredible. What a phenomenal dining experience!! Started with great service from the host. Was able to get squeezed in on a late reservation (here for work). Was sat promptly when I arrived at 7. Had the Pork Belly appetizer, Elk Tenderloin, cheesecake. Every dish was elevated, and execution across the board was on point. Crispy pork belly with a tender meat. Good portion. Salad was simple yet elegant. Not too much dressing but ingredients were quality. Now for the elk tenderloin. Oh my god. Such a well cooked medium rare and super tender. Better than venison. Such a well flavored piece. The sides were delicious. Cheesecake was nice and moist, crust had a good contrast to the sweetness. In my opinion, a top 10 meal all time. Restaurant had a good homely vibe with locals all across.

I've been wanting to come here for a while! We came for Valentine's Day and it was perfect! The salad before our meal was absolutely amazing and I wish I had bought the dressing. The crab cakes were ok, I don't think I would get them again. The main plate was absolutely delicious and we will be back!

First of all, we have been to your other restaurants, Hoof and Vine and Wild Rose and have had a great experience in both of those locations. We decided to try Tiburon with our friends. The staff was very pleasant, our waiter was excellent, and I ordered the Kansas City strip, and my wife ordered the filet. First of all her filet was very undercooked, but still very tender, although not a lot of flavor, my New York was over cooked, and the waiter, never checked on the temperature, after I cut into it. In addition, it was so tough that I could barely eat it. I've had better steaks at Texas roadhouse, which I only go to as a last resort. I also got the mashed potatoes, which I found to be almost flavorless. They say they are garlic mashed potatoes, and I actually question whether they were even real potatoes. As usual the bread and spreads were very good and the salad was exceptional. Now the main reason for my review, upon leaving the restaurant, I found that my car, a nice high-end German brand, had thousands of little specs all over my car from the foliage in the parking lot. I called the restaurant to inform them, and he was very apologetic and asked me to send an email to the owner. First of all, he gave me the wrong email address, and I had to find out myself what it was, and then after sending an email a week ago, I haven't heard a word from anyone. I find that to be very disheartening. I wasn't looking for anything at all, no compensation, I was purely telling them so that they could warn other customers, and at least know about the situation. And still no response. I literally had to wash my car with hot water to remove all of the specs, and keep in mind, this was the night of game seven of the World Series. Not what I wanted to be doing, but I didn't know if this was going to permanently damage the finish on my car. This is certainly Not how I would run a restaurant where I would think that return business would be important. Again, food, marginal, service great, follow up with customers with the problem, Horrible.

This place has been on my list for years and I finally get to cross it off. Surprised to see a good amount of people here for a Tuesday dinner. Service was friendly and the food came out really fast. However, it's not as tasty as I was hoping. Felt very average and the flavors were randomly mixed together to create the dish. Overall, glad we've tried this place but might not be too eager to reorder the same dish.

Wow wow wow PROS: - Excellent service. I love a good meal progression, nothing took too long or too slow to come out. Our server, Sarah was super attentive and made sure our meal was progressing well and the food was coming out as expected without being overbearing. She was very sweet giving us a free dessert as this was our first time. - The meal was amazing. We had a beet and burrata appetizer special to start with the crab cakes. We loved both! The crab cakes were amazing, I loved the greek style salad that came with them - The salad and sorbet that came after the appetizers were both amazing. It's not a basic side salad either. It had candied nuts, a roasted tomato, apples, and a vinegarette I would put on anything - Get the Elk. It was tender and super well seasoned. It did not taste gamey or chewy or tough at all. My hudband wished he order this over the lamb tenderloin which was also tasty but the elk was supreme CONS - nothing really. I guess you could say their back covered patio gets a little cold in the evenings during winter. There was a heater out there and my party seemed to get used to it quickly and didn't affect our enjoyment of our wonderful meal.

We had a party of 15 people. Service was excellent. Every dish ordered was amazing down to the butter for the bread.

The food got better and better with each additional course. I requested they write a special note for my husband and they accommodated us so well! We got cold in the enclosed patio and they were gracious to move us elsewhere. Do yourself a favor and get the damn cheesecake - it has a salted pretzel crust. It is 100% worth it!

This restaurant is the best in salt lake, they treat their clients with the upmost respect and the food is amazing. Nothing beats the intimate ambiance and Thai place truly sets the standard for every fine dining establishment.

The second SLC visit in a family circle of restaurants. The setting is very nice with a great patio. The service staff are very proud of their product and family members are on staff to take care of you as well. The food was very good and echoed the menu from their other restaurant.

Great place for a special dinner. The New Zealand elk was so delish. Very filling/large serving. Service was good but took a while even though they weren't busy. Worth the cost.

From the outside, this tiny cottage-like building with pristine landscaping begs you to go inside to see what wonders await. Although it's small, Tiburon packs a punch as far as the food goes. It's an upscale experience and great for a nice night out. The food was delicious-my wife and I each had a salad, pineapple sorbet and then beef tenderloin for me and pork tenderloin for her. The plates were a work of art-each one beautifully crafted and the flavors were terrific. My only complaint is that it's really loud inside. The small space and tables close to each other results in hearing everyone's conversations and the human tendency to speak louder than the people next to you so you can be heard. When everyone does that, it's just loud. Next time I'll opt for the patio.

I always love Tiburon. This is our "go-to" for Salt Lake City. This same family owns Hoof and Vine and Wild Rose. They know how to do things right. The service is efficient, well planned, and excellently executed. I love their house salad. Yummy. The pork belly with the Brie and caramelized onions, is one the best combos I've ever had. You'll love it.

Absolutely love this place. Tiburon has been around for quite some time. We just began to come here on a regular basis because it's consistently wonderful. The service is top-notch. We had our dedicated server as well as others in the restaurant helping out. Some thing that we both appreciate very much. The food is absolutely amazing. If I had one complaint that the muscles appetizer has too many muscles for an appetizer. I could order that as an entrée and be satisfied. The bread is house made with a wonderful butter. The elk steak is off the charts delicious. I typically get the fillet and it's always good but, last night I got the chicken now. I can't decide which one I like the best . Wine list is fabulous The timing of the service is spot on. Great place to go to celebrate an anniversary or when you're in the mood for a fine dining experience and have a few hours to linger. Can't wait to go back.

The food was bland to too sweet. Dessert was dry. The servers were distracted. It was crowded and too noisy for a conversation. Unfortunately what was to have been a special evening for us, instead turned into we could not wait to leave.

We went for our 17th wedding anniversary, and it was excellent. I can't believe that we've lived in Sandy 13 years and have never been. I had their signature elk and my wife had the lamb tenderloin, both were fantastic. The service and ambiance in the patio were incredible. We'll definitely be back.

Service and food was superb. The presentation of the food was immaculate. My girlfriend and I ordered the pork belly appetizer and it melted with every bite. The bread and the spread was to die for. I tried the New Zealand elk and it didn't taste gamey at all. I really loved the house salad as well.

Tiburon has been a main stay in high end fine dining for many years in the salt lake valley. Ive been to Tiburon ever since I was old enough to appreciate fine dining and it quickly became a staple for anniversaries and birthdays. It was upscale fine dining at its best. Upon entering the host greeted us like he knew us forever and immediately guided us directly to our table. It's been a while since I've been so it was a good surprise. We were seated in the outside patio with huge trees shading us. Very peaceful tranquil setting with all the accoutrements of dining with nature. A bubbling rock was nearby providing gentle sounds of man made nature at its finest. it was a beautiful day albeit a little warm. Our server Taylor came right away and took our drink order. I had a Diet Coke with a shot of Jameson. She had a shot of Jameson and had the server pick out a wine for her. It turned out to be a delicious Pinot. We later had one of the other servers come out and compliment me on the choice of Jameson shots and it made me feel pretty cool. Haha. Out came that bread with famous herbed butter which I practically ate the whole loaf. I did order another loaf and butter for the express reason I was going to take it home. We started out with the pork belly appetizer. The thick slab of marbled pork paired with the Brie cheese and sautéed onions was a great combo. Topped on that bread loaf it was totally sigma. Not to mention the salad with all the different elements in it from the crunch of the candied walnuts, and fresh crisp apple slices, to the well tossed crispy lettuce nicely evenly covered by the delicious house dressing. Ive eaten a few salads in my life and I'll tell you this is one of the best. The sorbet pallet cleanser with that tangy apple was a great choice. I made the joke that I'm sad the dessert already came out but I was the only one that laughed. I ordered the dinner special of Fois Gra and filet Mignon and it was impeccable. The beautiful slab of goose liver perfectly seared. 3 good pieces. Not to mention the perfectly done filet really tender with a good Smokey flavor enhanced by the rich demi glacé. The potatoes were so smooth and buttery while the veggies were nicely done. Even the most ardent chicken only nugget fans would appreciate the veggies on this dish. My girl ordered the chicken and it too was done perfectly. The chicken was tender with a good crunch of the skin. The sauces complemented it wonderfully. My daughter had the pasta with vegetables and it too was delicious. The blueberry cheesecake and the crème brulee was a great bookend to a wonderful meal. Needless to say, I was stuffed. Licked every plate clean. I made it easier for your dish washer. The staff were all very friendly and personable. Attentive to our needs. Perfect timing for every course running like subway trains in Tokyo. From Clearing the table and setting up silverware for the next course to refilling our drinks and water, everything was timed to perfectly balance the time spent eating to small talk banter. And yes I'm a soda drinker that gets refilled an obscenely amount of times and service didn't miss a beat. A truly Amazing dining experience really unparalleled by other high end dining establishments I've been to. Even better was the prices included the salad and sides. No a la carte experience here, it's all inclusive. The prices are definitely worth it, if not, a downright bargain.

I do not live in the area, but each time I've eaten here, the quality and taste have been consistent. Service is excellent, bread comes with an out-of-this-world butter (that could be a meal on its own!), salad has a really good sweet and tart vinaigrette with lots of yummy components such as candied walnuts and grilled (maybe stewed) tomato? But don't sleep on the elk!! It is one of the best elk entrees I've had.

We went to dinner for my birthday and had a fantastic meal! The service staff members worked seamlessly together to anticipate our needs and the food was superb. I had the salmon; others in my party had the ahi tuna and chicken. Every dish was prepared perfectly. The best part of the experience was our server, Ryan, who was efficient, charming, and attentive. Can't wait to go again!

Aside from the old folks at the table next to us judging me for taking the photos you see here on Yelp, this was a really good dining experience. (Like literally, they were side eyeing us and saying we probably got our meal for free--we wish!) The photos were a challenge, by the way. The restaurant lighting is not conducive to great photos. But it is conducive to a relaxing and quiet experience. So, I've lived one mile from Tiburon for almost six years now. And I just barely visited for my birthday. I liked the low light and homey environment. It did seem a little bit old, but not in a bad or smelly way. My husband LOVED his food. He got a modified version of the surf and turf--(elk?) steak with a lobster tail. I am not a steak girl, and even on my birthday I try to stay more practical about food prices. So I went with the chicken. It was good. I honestly wasn't sure what else was on the plate. It had the texture of very runny cheesy potatoes, and a taste consistent with that appearance. It all just sort of blended together on my plate, and my brain had a hard time eating the mystery food even though it tasted pretty good. We got the mint limeade to share. It wasn't super minty to be honest, so my husband requested extra mint. Our server was great. She gave us the chocolate almond mousse for my birthday; it was really good. Overall this was a really good experience, but probably spend out for their less traditional items because let's be honest, chicken is chicken. Definitely check it out, and make your reservation in advance.

I brought my wife here for our anniversary and our experience was fantastic! The staff were friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was everything you would expect at a fine restaurant. The food was next level! I liked that all entrées come with fresh bread, a salad, and homemade sorbet. The bread came warm and was nice and soft. Their house butter packed a lot of flavor. I almost filled up on the bread! I ordered the pork belly appetizer and would highly recommend it. Then came the salad. I'm not much of a salad person, but I loved it. The dressing was great and the candied pecans brought me joy. The chicken I ordered was very tender. I would definitely get it again. For dessert I got the special they were offering, a lemon cake. It was a little dry for me, but the chocolate mousse my wife ordered was delicious.

Food good, with an impressive variety of exotic offerings, but not outstanding, and not worth the elevated price. Saturated in sauce. Service OK, although with an aura of slight pretentiousness. Our conversation was interrupted nearly every time, with the server not asking for our attention, but rather abruptly speaking over us, and sometimes even needlessly. Ambiance nice, but with a crowded, busy feeling, full of commotion. Not a place for intimate interaction, as one has to speak loudly to be heard in this noisy restaurant. Worth trying for the unique experience if half the price.

Great dinner spot in SLC! Service 10, food 10. I had the half chicken and chocolate mousse for dessert, and it was all prepared perfectly. Highly recommend.

Told someone I wanted to try elk, and they replied with Tiburon. And they were correct. Not sure how a human could order an app here. The meal came with a great salad, fresh bread, a mid meal sorbet, and the elk was laden with delicious sides. I wanted to try a lot more food, but they already gave me so much! Service was first class, and with a nice wine recommendation. Since I love to complain I find the lack of pie as a dessert troubling. Not like I had room, but to at least read about!

We met the owner at a farmer's market and decided to try it. My wife got the salmon and I got the filet mignon. Everything was spectacular. Service, drinks, food, bread... Tiburon is one of my wife and I's new favorite restaurants.

Very good food and super friendly service. The back patio is a great place to be in the summer. The steak I had was delicious and their salad is my favorite.

I would give 4.5 stars if that was an option. The food and service deserve 5 stars, ambiance could be a bit better for a restaurant of this caliber. You really can't go wrong with ordering, everything I have tried has been excellent. The wait staff is very friendly and helpful. This a great place for a date night with friends or special occasions.

You had me at the #lemonsorbet Tiburon Fine Dining Restaurant! I love everything about this place, in Sandy, UT! They are the flagship restaurant of others, like Hoof And Vine, Epic and Wild Rose, all known for their fine American cuisines. One of the owners is a chef and, you can tell, because even the little touches, like the lemon sorbet ~ to help cleanse the palate, before your entree arrives, to the complimentary bread and unique butter flavors, really help compliment your meal. We enjoyed some surf and turf, with lamb, and my hubs is always drawn to the rib eye. We rounded everything off with some desserts. It was so delicious, that we're already making plans to hit up their sister restaurants too! Pro Tip: You can buy their butter. I already have plans with what I want to put it on. I love this place! xx

Amazing service and delicious food! Home grown vegetables, great ambiance and location. This is a great date night place!

If you have to put the words "fine dining" in your name, you're trying too hard and probably not fine dining. We came for a birthday celebration and none of our 6 would come back. Every dish was weirdly plated. I usually take pics at restaurants to share on Yelp, but this place is so dimly lit for dinner that it wouldn't look right anyway. Plus I was so disappointed with them it wasn't worth trying to edit them. DO NOT get the $100 Wagyu steak... the filet mignon tasted WAY better and my son who ordered it said he bought Wagyu beef from Walmart (I know, right?!?) that he did at home and it was better. When I told the server on our way out that the Wagyu was dumb, she didn't seem to care and asked how my salmon was... ok but not great either. I'm not usually this harsh with my reviews, but I think it was so lackluster, especially for a special occasion, that I couldn't think of anything good to say. Plus we were paying for everyone. Oh, and more than 4 gets an automatic 20% gratuity added... usually places will do a 15-18% built-in gratuity and we up it to 20 with good service... maybe that's why our service was sub par because they knew they'd get a fixed amount anyway.

A cozy spot that offers a solid dinner experience! The staff was kind and attentive. The scallops were a tad salty but cooked well. The mussels were good, although there were a few empty shells. I enjoyed the flavorful butter that came with the complimentary bread, the salad, and the sorbet to cleanse your palate before your entree. The chicken, tenderloin of beef, and bison short rib special were all cooked well. All the plates came with pretty much the same vegetables, would have been nice to have a bit of variety but the vegetables were still tasty. I was pleasantly surprised by the cinnamon ice cream, it's not too rich and reminds me of churros!

So I went to this place expecting big things given the reviews and the website claims. I ordered the pan sired salmon. The salmon was completely raw in the middle and I asked for them to send back and cook another, the 2nd salmon was still raw and it had to be taken back a third time. At the end of the night as I was leaving the table next to me also confessed they ordered the same thing and both there plates of salmon were raw. I was absolutely shocked beyond belief that given the experience and the fact I had to wait another 15 min to eat they would charge me for my meal. I have had restaurants comp my meal just for having to re-fire my meal even once but 2 times? Absolutely unacceptable. Bottom line I didn't experience the fine dining part they so love to lead you to believe. I really didn't like the meal even when the salmon was finally cooked, the salmon should be the star of your dish but it was hiding under an absurd amount of bacon. From what I saw with other tables, all the meat from ribeye to fillet was also covered in sauce. I really hate giving negative reviews but honestly I felt very taken advantage of and honestly I found the whole experience and food wanting.. The only reason this place was not 1 stared is because of the atmosphere. It was very elegant and romantic. The prices given the food we received are absolutely not worth it. I can see allot of folks who don't eat at many fine dining restaurants think that those prices are acceptable particularly if they eat at fast food places but they really aren't. For those prices I fully expected my palate to be blown away with flavor and spices and unfortunately they fell way below that mark. I have dined at restaurants with a Michelin star that for just a little more out around the same cost will certainly blow your mind and palate away. I will not be returning to this place..

My brother in law and I were 45 minutes from a movie starting, made reservations with OpenTable just in case. We told the server about our time crunch and she accommodated us and made sure items were coming out in a timely fashion. My favorite thing is still the house salad, it has been the exact same thing for over 10 years or more and always consistent. The pork belly and triple brie cream cheese was also tasty. The mint lemonade always changes in sweetness and sourness when we go. This time it was a perfect balance. The complementary bread and pimento cheese sweet butter always great. For sure will be back, and I know it is weird the menu has never changed in ages but when they do it right and great service do not have much to complain about.
