Absolutely fantastic find in Samara. The kitchen is the best I've seen in 4 months of backpacking. The pool is clean and cold and the price is really good. You can't beat it. Everything was so clean. The room even had air con and hot water. The staff were quick to act if there was a problem - the gas for the hob was replaced within minutes

We had a wonderful stay at Tico Adventure Lodge! It’s perfectly located within walking distance to the beach and everything you might need—markets, restaurants, charming sodas, and shopping. Once you park, there’s no need to drive anywhere! The beds were comfortable, and the space was exceptionally clean. Our porch overlooked a serene garden sanctuary that felt like a jungle, filled with beautiful birds and peaceful nature sounds. The pool was stunning, and the entire property was very well maintained. While we didn’t use the communal kitchen, it was well-equipped and a fantastic option for longer stays. Everyone we encountered was incredibly friendly. Sámara itself is a beautiful and safe town, and we felt comfortable exploring everywhere on foot. Highly recommend!

2nd time to stay here. Think upper scale Robinson Caruso jungle treehouse in the middle of the village. Rooms are nice, each different, staff friendly and helpful, and beach is a 5 minute walk. Good value and local friend think it’s the best place to stay if not renting a house. Also Samara felt very safe from our perspective with no issues whatsoever

This was one of the most relaxing vacations I have ever had. Andrea could not have been more hospitable and helpful. Tico Adventure Lodge is perfectly located in the small beach side town of Samara. Our accommodations were spotlessly clean and fully equipped. It feels like a private oasis yet is within a block of the ocean, many restaurants and stores. Will definitely be returning for an extended visit next winter.

We had an amazing stay at Tico Adventure Lodge! Room #8 was simple but very comfortable, and the quiet AC unit kept us cool throughout our visit. We especially loved starting our mornings in the rocking chairs on the front porch, sipping fresh, strong coffee and reading our books. It was the perfect peaceful way to begin each day. The pool felt like our own private oasis, surrounded by lush greenery, and was so refreshing after exploring. Having a fully equipped kitchen was a huge plus, allowing us to make fresh guacamole and enjoy local fruits daily. The staff were fantastically attentive, friendly, and eager to share helpful recommendations for the area. We even enjoyed browsing and reading from the lodge’s little library, which was such a nice touch. Most importantly, we felt safe and relaxed throughout our stay. Tico Adventure Lodge is truly a gem, and we’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in Samara!

Super clean, great location Also, very important that they are strict with sound. Therefore, you can enjoy the sounds of nature as you swing in your hammock in your private balcony Great staff! The security guard that worked the late shift saved my entire trip. The rain came in hard, and the security guard stepped into action and covered my motorcycle! Special thanks to him and the entire staff

You have to stay here! One of my favourite places I've ever stayed, I'd go back in a heartbeat. As a budget, solo traveller, I had 3 nights here as a treat and it was worth every penny and not much more than I was paying for hostels. I loved the design of my room, it was very well thought out, great attention to detail, had everything I needed and more and really felt like luxury for a great price. Spacious, clean bathroom with hot water and a great shower. Lots of storage and a safe. The kitchen facilities were great, really clean and very well stocked with everything you could need. A lovely cleaner came in and reset my room every day. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I wasn't able to take advantage of the yoga classes or therapies due to an injury but I think it's great that they offer these in-house. It's less than a 5 minute walk to the beach with restaurants, supermarkets and shops along the way. The pool area is kept very clean and I was able to spot wildlife while sitting in the outdoor kitchen enjoying my complimentary coffee. The only thing I can think that may bother some people is that there could be some quite loud road noise during the night but this happens most places in a town, pack some ear plugs and have a fantastic stay at this beautiful property. A little piece of relaxing jungle paradise with the convenience of being in town. The staff were also very helpful with arranging transport for me from my last location and the bus ticket office and bus stop are on the same road as Tico Adventure Lodge which was very useful when it was (sadly) time to leave. I hope I am able to stay here again during future travels.
