My wife and I recently enjoyed a Go See Touring Tassie Delights holiday from 19 - 28 September 2025, spending 2 nights at the Panorama Hotel St Helens. Check in was seamless for the 30 of us in the group.|Our room was spacious, clean and well appointed. The bathroom was huge, albiet with a small shower cubicle (although I understand the hotel is progressively upgrading the bathrooms to include a larger shower space).|Every staff member we encountered were friendly and helpful.|The hotel contains multiple communal areas (inside and out) to sit and relax. The restaurant is a generous size. The standout was the function room we were fortunate to have to ourselves for Breakfast and Dinner. It sits opposite the restaurant with the bar centred between. |The food was great and bar choices were extensive.|Congratulations to the owners, management and staff on an excellent hotel.

Wonderful 2 night stay at this gorgeous spot. Our room was very comfortable and spacious. Although our room didn’t have a view, there were some lounges for guests to enjoy the magnificent views. |A shout out to Lesley, the lovely lady that checked us in. She gave lots of fabulous info about walks and told us about the Pub in the Paddock, which was a highlight. Unfortunately the other lady on the desk had a slightly condescending attitude. |The bistro was fantastic and meals and service were excellent.

A beautiful setting overlooking the bay. The room was spacious, comfortable and with all amenities. As mentioned often, bathrooms are under renovation which is just as well because the tiny corner shower was not good at all and fan too noisy.|Staff were pleasant and food quite good too. |The bird life out the window was beautiful to just relax and observe.

We stayed 4 nights in a water view king room. The room was a very good size with a fantastic view and very comfortable bed. |The staff were friendly and efficient. |The meals were delicious and very reasonably priced. They even had live music on one of the days that we were there.|We will definitely come back in the future.

Large hotel overlooking water in St Helen’s located just a short distance from main shopping strip that has supermarkets, bakeries. Ample free parking for hotel guests at property. Stayed 2 x nights late June. Ground floor room overlooking water. Very spacious room and cleanliness no issue. Bathroom also big enough for needs, however actual shower itself is definitely on the smaller side in comparison to the rest of room. Room was super quiet and only ever heard the wildlife during nights resulting in peaceful nights. Staff all very pleasant and efficient. If in the general area would definitely stay again and no problems recommending this hotel to others.

We had a lovely room with a view of the lake and the water. I check-in experience was pleasant and our check-in hostess, Pia, is very warm friendly and ever so helpful.|We dined in at the hotel bistro and we’re very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food served. I have coeliac disease and this was no problem for them. One enquired about the dish and asked if it could be gluten-free. I was asked if I was Coeliac, which I replied yes. The food was absolutely amazing. My husband and I both had the lamb rump served with halloumi , parsnips carrot, fennel and tsatziki. What a beautiful meal. I highly recommend this Hotel both for the accommodation and the delicious food.

Called in for lunch. Beautifully clean and well presented restaurant and staff well dressed, and very helpful. ||The food was fantastic, and I’m writing this in the hope that the chef on duty gets to read these comments. Loved the food. Well presented, great flavours and good portion sizes. We ordered the lamb wrap, buffalo wings and fishermen’s basket

We stayed 1 night so didn't get to experience most of the hotel, just the bistro for dinner. The rooms are comfortable, though the bed is softer than we normally prefer. We still managed a sound night sleep. The deck off the room had a view of the pond and Georges Bay which was very relaxing, though too cold to sit outside for long. The only issue with the room was the bathroom. The fan was super loud and turned on with the light, so in the middle of the night that can be a bit jarring. The shower was squeezed into a corner to make room for the spa bath which didn't make a lot of sense given the hotel's request not to run the spa bath after 8:30pm. |The bistro was comfortable, generous servings with the food (we had the gnocchi and the chili chicken as mains). |We chose the hotel due to its location and use as a rest stop for other parts of our east coast trip (Little Blue Lake, Bay of Fires, St Columba Falls (however the track was closed due to an earlier landslide) and a few other side road adventures.
