Tides Waterfront Dining - Premier Seafood Overall Rating: 3/5 stars Summary: We came in with high expectations but left feeling a little let down. Food: My partner and I ordered the fried barramundi for starters which was fun to look at but didn't have any flavour. Mains were duck and chicken harissa. The duck was perfectly cooked with a yummy pumpkin puree and crispy kale but I did find that the hazelnuts and ?dried prosciutto did not suite the meal. The chicken was a very confusing experience with multiple flavour profiles that didn't seem to meld with one another. Service: Staff were friendly and professional. It wasn't busy so service speed was quick. Atmosphere: Very beautiful atmosphere with a perfect waterfront view. It was nice and quiet with mostly couples sitting at the occupied tables. Value: For the amount paid the serving size was reasonable.

When there to celebrate both our birthdays. Had the seafood tower for 2. The Gold Band Snapper was cooked to perfection & the Humpty Doo had the best crispy skin & was cooked to perfection. The scallops with cauliflower purée were delicious. Very generous portions so we didn’t manage to finish our chips & salad. Good to see a seafood platter that is not full of battered or crumbed items. It also included mussels in broth, prawns, octopus & fresh oysters. Beach view was terrific & the service was fantastic. Highly recommend it.

Perfection! The best meals we have eaten this year. Rather generous sizing also, including the sides which were just as exquisite. Kirsty waited on us and made us feel very comfortable. Looking forward to dining at Tides again! (Will aim a holiday around it!)

My 50th lunch with seafood tower, champagne, nice bottle of wine… not cheap for the two of us, yet the service was on point and seafood tower was not. Hot items were cold, prawns floury … just not a grand tower. But a great and up to date beverage list to ease the pain. 2nd visit as a mid-week dinner months after the last visit. 3 course menu; still floury prawns, my opinion overcooked but certainly rubbery duck and a creme brûlée that wasn’t set but had a nice sugar crust … generally three standard items for the kitchen… will I complain in front of my wife and daughter to ruin the night? Certainly not, a trained manager or waitress could have spotted that, or the pastry chef seen the custard. It’s a shame, just have to think hard to give you guys another go… especially for that a-la-carte price.

This is our second time at this lovely restaurant. The views of Bullcock beach are beautiful and serene. The service is impeccable and we received such a warm welcome from the staff. Same lovely staff as last year (we’re from Melbourne) and so welcoming and friendly. We had the 3 course lunch special and the portions are generous and delicious. Highly recommended. We’ll be back.

We recently visited Tides resturant for my partners birthday. Not only was the view fabulous but the whole experience. We had the perfect table. The service was wonderful, by all staff. The food; what can I say, the best I've tasted, in fine dining. I believe it was the 2nd night for a new menu and it was next level. Thank you, we will be back and will remember this experience for years to come. Worth every penny!

Best meal and service on the Sunshine Coast! Excellent wine list. Amazingly knowledgeable, friendly and helpful staff. Great variety on the menu with food allergies catered for. Beautiful view of Pumicestone Passage looking across to Bribie. Amazing flavours in all of the dishes we ordered and everything made on site and Australian sourced. We really enjoyed the experience.

From start to finish we received exemplary service and stunning food. All items executed with a deft hand and seasoned oh so well. I have to say the chips with aioli was one of the best I have ever had. We can't wait to go back! Food 9/10 service 8.5/10 decor 7.5/10

Only 1 previous review I was slightly hesitant but no worries excellent. We had the oysters natural which where not on the lunch menu but was not a problem, I had the barra my favorite fish and the boss had the crab salad, we finished off with the rhubarb crumble. A couple of beers and glass of bubbly what more could you ask for. Sea breeze & overlooking the Pumicestone passage just great.

I took a day trip to Caloundra, and was craving some yummy seafood. After reviewing the menu, the server informed us there were no oysters, which made me sad because I love oysters and wanted to order some! Nonetheless, I ordered the barramundi, which was cooked very nicely. My date ordered the pork belly, and I must say that I liked the pork belly more than the barramundi! Although the restaurant was close to empty (maybe 4 tables were occupied), the food did take awhile to come out. I would totally eat at Tides again, and hopefully have some wine to go with my meal!

A great location overlooking the water, wonderful to watch the sunset from. We attended a wedding reception here, and the food and service was excellent. We got the scallops for an entree and rib eye for mains, and the wedding cake for dessert and they were all cooked to perfection. It's a fairly small restaurant, but it's personal and comfortable.

Seafood is excellent here - incredibly fresh and well prepared. Although the food was excellent, the service slowed down a lot towards the end of the meal, an became s little less attentive.

Some very delectable dishes here we enjoyed the snapper and smoked salmon . Not very large portion sizes for hungry teenagers but filled up on beautiful tapas and desert . Very attentive service. Good location and ambience.
