I really enjoyed my time at Tiergarten. It’s so peaceful and green, the perfect place to walk, relax, or just sit and enjoy nature. I loved seeing the lakes and monuments along the way – a beautiful escape right in the middle of Berlin.

Amazing park with comparisons to Central Park in New York. You could spend hours here. However take water because especially on a Sunday it can be hard to find anywhere nearby to buy any water. Highlight for me was the Rose Garden.

I was at Tiergarten during the Rave The Planet festival, and it truly amazed me. The place is huge it feels like a forest right in the middle of the city. Despite the energy of the festival, there were still quiet corners and lots of natural beauty. It's a perfect place to walk, relax, or just take in the vibe of Berlin. A must-visit if you want to feel nature without leaving the city.

Beautiful park with lots of stunning nature and wildlife. Great to visit very early in the morning when it's calm however be aware there are a large number homeless that live in the park with tents and if / when walking alone it can feel a bit sketchy.

Tiergarten is the third largest urban garden in Germany, and is the most popular park in Berlin. It's central and spacious and dense with trees. The park contains a number of memorials and statues (including the massive Berlin Victory Column), and other attractions worth seeing, like the small but beautiful rose garden. The Berlin Zoo is also within the Tiergarten area. It takes perhaps 30–45 minutes to walk from one end to the other (though you may get sidetracked by any of the many things to see along the way).

Tiergarten is one of the most beautiful urban parks I’ve ever visited. I’ve been here twice — once with Tomi and Markéta, and another time with my coworker Ondra — both in summer and autumn, and each visit felt completely different. The park is located right in the heart of Berlin, but once you’re inside, it feels peaceful and far from the city noise. It’s perfect for long walks, runs, or just relaxing by the lake, which is full of ducks and other wildlife. I really appreciate how Berlin is full of green spaces like this. From some parts of the park, you can even spot the famous Victory Column, which adds to the whole atmosphere. A must-visit if you're in Berlin.

The Tiergarten is an enormous (500+ acre!!!) park in the middle of Berlin. With the Victory column on one side and Potsdamer Platz, museums, and shops on another (plus much more all around). It is really quite expansive. Very serene, lush, gorgeous plants/flowers, many idyllic ponds interspersed with benches around - romantic; and on a beautiful day it is easy to spend hours wandering around or spread out on some blankets for a picnic. You can access several monuments like the Victory Column, and several English gardens, and others like Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag (parliament building) and several memorials. Lots of trails for running and biking, or hire a pedal bike service to ride you through the park. Definitely worth a visit to relax.

I've been to Berlin a couple times, and feel like I have not yet begun to exhaust the possibilities of walking the Tiergarten. When you tired of city noise, and need a green space to relax, this is a good place to visit.

We took a stroll around the largest inner-city park in Berlin. It is close to several attractions, such as the Brandenburg Gate. The park used to be royal hunting grounds. If you want to relax, then this is the place to go.

Pretty nice park, large and well kept. This is a cool park and centrally located to many German attractions. It's a nice walk from the Victory Column to the Gates for instance. The Soviet memorial in the park is interesting too. My only complaint is the paths were a little overrun. I'm being nit picky but otherwise it would be a perfect 5 star park! Nice way to walk off too much food as well!

Beautiful park in the city that stretches for many kilometers and lush. I would come here everyday if I lived in the area. Nice historical monuments, beautiful manicured areas, nice wooded areas and lakes dot the gardens. A wonderful way to spend a day chilling out in this gorgeous park area.

Tiergarten is a HUGE park in the middle of Berlin. Unfortunately my sister and I weren't able to spend much time there or visit the zoo as we were only in Berlin for a few days. (There is no shortage of interesting things to see and do in Berlin!) But if I am in Berlin again, Tiergarten will definitely be a priority--it's a must for anyone who enjoys nature and being outdoors. Tiergarten probably deserve 4 or 5 stars, but since I was only in the park briefly, just passing through (which is such a shame, as it seems like an amazing park), I'm giving it 3 stars.

This is a huge park and we walked most of it. There are lots of streams and play areas. It feels like you are in nature and not in the middle of a big city. The zoo is one one end and other major sites on the other. Takes about 30 minutes to walk across if you walk continuously. Our hotel was on one end right by the train stop which was convenient. They have done a nice job here. Tons of people taking advantage of the outdoor space and I'm sure there are many more when it's warmer. Lots of statues to enjoy in various areas. What a treasure.

It's funny that everyone here means to write a review about the PARK Tiergarten but ends up writing a review for the CITY TRAIN STATION Tiergarten. Or S-BAHN, as the Berliner would say. Anyway, the S-Bahn Station Tiergarten is an airy one - no fun to wait on the platform during the cold winter times. In the summer though - no complaints. And on to my next review which will be about the actual PARK.

Beautiful and massive park. Worth exploring, checking out the different areas within it - including Cafe am Neuen See - the most beautiful beer garden in all of Berlin.

Tiergarten is the biggest park inside Berlin center. It's really beautiful, doesn't matter which seasons, I can always find the beauty in It. It's It is a prefect place to walk around, picnic or jogging. Usually when I am biking, I always choose to go thought the park, just enjoy the greens and fresh air. There are cafés and Biergarten around the park. It got lots space, it's not difficult to find a spot to sit down and read. It is also really close to everything, Brandenburg gate, Sony Center Zoologischer Garten, so when you are in the mood, just have a little walk here, it's refreshing.

Immense park in central Berlin. Largely rustic and much like it was naturally when royalty used it for hunting. Unlike Central Park in New York, it isn't landscaped and doesn't have many bridges and structures.

I really like this park. They call it the green lung of Berlin. It's the former hunting park of the Hohenzollern family. It's a lovely place to walk, or run or ride a bike. There are many statues to see, and benches to rest. on Close to the Reichstag and Tor there are street musicians, bubble blowers and entertainers- but if you get further in to the park it can feel like you are alone in a forest- especially if you go early in the morning. Don't miss the big monuments (and some of the more interesting small ones). Everyone sees the Victory Column- but I like Bismark's monument, and the Bison statue tucked away in a little garden behind Bellevue. The walk along the border of the park that runs along the Spree is full of interesting things to see. It's really a wonderful place.

Very very nice area to walk in. It is huge with trails. The trees, lakes and birds are so magical. I strongly recommend it and you have to plan to spend around 2 hours.

This is a really big park with lots of trees, a well-paved path, and bodies of water. Definitely walk around if you want to take a stroll, but it's not absolutely necessary to go to. If you want to see the Victory Tower though, take a stroll through here (even though it's quite far).

This is a huge and beautiful inner city park, with a zoo, a lake, many lovely garden walks, and lots of statues. There is one entire section devoted to the gay scene in Berlin. You can see lovers of all kinds on the grass in the afternoon, resting, kissing, and eating. There is also a fine zoo. This is a great park.

Loved wandering through this expansive park. It's full of interesting characters to people watch but is also large enough that you can just get lost in your own world. We were content to spend most of our day here, topping out with beers at the Biergarten (who can hate beers with a view?) and a canoe ride on the lake (free and gorgeous!). I really can't believe such a place exists in the middle of the bustling hub that is Berlin. A must do for visitors!

I can't quite put my finger on why, but I was quite disappointed with the Tiergarten. Firstly, I guess I was looking for somewhere nice to lie down and relax - such places are few and far between in this park. Secondly it has all sorts of huge roads running through it! Why, why, why ruin what could be a great park with 6-lane roads? Thirdly it wasn't even as big as I had been expecting. We walked slowly from one side to the other in probably less than 20 minutes. When you consider that 5 minutes were taken by crossing this huge road... I dunno, I guess I was just expecting more than a small forest.

Ok park in central Berlin. It's woodsy, lined with paths that seem maze like which makes it easy to get lost. However, on a hot day, it's a good retreat for some shade and rest. I did like how it was quite peaceful in spite of it being in the center of a huge city.

A charming park in the center of Berlin. Absolutely worth some time to explore. When we visited in the spring we also found a second hand market there on the weekend which was quite fun!

My first day in Berlin I was completely exhausted from staying up the night before my flight and on my flight to finish an academic project. The day of my arrival I had to go on a bike tour with my group, and even as exhausted as I was, biking through the tiergarten was one of the most memorable 'tourist' things I did in Berlin. I recommend it to everyone, find somewhere to rent a bike, pick up a beer and spend a few hours there!

Super park. It´s huge. It´s in the centrum so easy to get there. And if you are there in a right time of the year and day, it´s not even too crowded. Especially the beer garden. Cheers.

I've wandered around Tiergarten dozens of times and I still feel like I've barely scratched the surface. It's an absolutely enormous park. It's also very easy to get lost. If you don't have a visual reference point, you'll lose your sense of direction pretty quickly. Some parts of the park are wild and overgrown, while other areas consist of gently manicured lawns. At times, it feels like you could be in a forest in the countryside, not in the middle of Berlin. This is probably my favourite park in the world. It has a certain indescribable mystique to it.

Having grown up visiting New York's Central Park on a daily basis I like checking out other public parks and comparing them and I can tell you that this is an amazing park. The park is lush and green with many open areas for picnics and benches to use for people watching. The park has numerous nooks and crannies; plenty of street vendors with portable grills and the different variations of trees is quite remarkable. I would highly recommend a picnic lunch and spending half a day walking around. Alternatively you will notice tons of folks riding bikes. Don't be surprised when you see people reading books. They actually still read books in the park. You will want to take a camera as the park has many monuments and statutes. I will never visit Berlin without spending a few hours in this park. The only thing missing is a Sabrett hotdog vendor serving hotdogs with red onions and warm pretzels

An absolute most see for first timers to Berlin...it's the antidote to the shopping sprees in Mitte, and the museum overload...try to get lost...soak up the green spaces..walk along the river..or rent a boat......discover solitude as I did....it will give you some time to reflect on your Berlin experiences....it will affirm in you, that Berlin is more than a place, it's a state of being...

We walked through the tiergarten many times in our last trip to Berlin. It was a nice shaded park just off of the main attractions which allowed plenty of time for our son to run freely around the park. The park is huge and has quite a few monuments and statues and winding paths throughout. It takes quite a journey to travel from end to end. We found that the maps can be a little misleading around the park as well as they don't account for buildings in the park and other structures which made it difficult to locate playgrounds and other items we were searching for. We did find the best playground for kids to be located in the south eastern side of the park. There is a wobbly bridge, huge slide, swings, etc. the English garden on the north side is worth a visit also. They have a restaurant and it is great for a coffee or beer.

Beautiful walk in the park with a good amount of statues. You can easily get "lost" in the maze of paths and the beauty of this park. Take your time and soak up the history and nature that is this park. Consider it the Central Park of Berlin.

A beautiful park! I definitely recommend visiting. Expect to spend some time here as it is a very charming park with lots of interesting little corners to explore. During the World Cup, we watched a match on the Fan Mile, and since this was a match that Germany lost (don't remind me!), the highlight was that I got hit on by some obnoxious drunken German boys. But they were cute so what do I care if they were loud and obnoxious?

This park is just gorgeous. It's big and has lots of different parts to explore. This visit (thanks to the magical Internet) I walked along the outside of the Zoo, where, along a pleasant, flower-lined path next to the Spree, you can see a bunch of the animals for free. It's also got biergartens in it. Every park should have beer. And I randomly discovered an area called the "Gaslight Museum" where they have all different antique gas lamps set up. How cool is that?!?!

You wouldn't think that this park was so close to the hustle and bustle of the city because once you are inside it is so peaceful. There are several monuments within the park and each one is unique and beautiful. We had a walk through after a long day of sightseeing and it was a great way to relax. There are plenty of paths and it's great for a walk or a bike ride.

Tiergarten park was beautiful. When my friends and I visited Germany at the end of April, it was still a little chilly but we definitely enjoyed walking through the park. And visiting the Berlin Victory Column near the center was very cool. The column also helped us keep a sense of direction if we ever were confused about where we were in the city! It is a very quaint park and has lots of paths to walk through. Definitely worth visiting while in Berlin. For us, we needed to walk by it (or through it) on a daily basis to get anywhere in the city and we were happy to do so!

eccelent park. one can spend pleasant days there enjoying the nature. unfortunatelly dogs have been forgotten. in such a huge place it would have not damaged anyone to have some areas dedicated to dogs. it would have been an advantage for everybody. both dog owners and othet parkgoer!!!
