19 Best Hotel Brunch Buffets in Hong Kong

"With its soaring ceilings, imposing marble columns, and huge floor-to-ceiling windows—with views of Victoria Harbor and skyscrapers on the western side of Hong Kong—Tiffin feels bright, grand, and spacious. As one of Hong Kong's most iconic buffet —especially for Continental brunch on Sundays—it's a popular spot for well-to-do families, who might occasionally come here instead of the usual dim sum brunch, so expect multiple generations at one table." - Kate Springer, Janice Leung Hayes

Extremely large selection of high quality dishes with a great atmosphere to boot. There's at least one section for everyone, even the pickiest eaters. The dessert section also features excellent mini cakes, gelato, and even a chocolate fountain! If you're concerned about the relatively high price, you can easily get your money's worth from just the cold seafood section consisting of fresh French oysters, conches, shrimps, and snow crabs. I would recommend trying your best to give everything a chance here because every dish is genuinely worth trying! The live jazz band was amazing too. If you're in that band and are reading this, rock on, my dudes!

Western food buffet. We made a reservation a week in advance for dinner buffet on a Saturday. We arrived 6.30pm and were promptly seats. Originally they wanted to seat us by the entrance, but we preferred to sit closer to the food and the window. For dinner buffet they serve hot lobster. There is a choice of boiled lobster, cheese lobster and butter lobster. We selected the cheese and butter lobster. Both were very good. Tiffin is one of the only buffet in HK to offer hot lobster for dinner. Unlimited oysters which were very good. Probably one of the only buffet in HK with fresh oysters. Beef wellington. Lamb chops. Salad bar. Ice cream. They also have freshly made French crepe. Environment is good. Live music with pianist and 2 other musicians. We can here for a birthday so they gave us a small cake which was a nice surprise. There were probably about 7 birthdays on the night that we dined as happy birthday was placed many times. Included in the buffet price was also a tea or coffee from their drinks menu. We stayed until close at 10pm. Very good. Our 2nd visit here. Not as busy as during Covid times when we first visited. About 50% full. Dinner buffet was around HKD900 each. Good for celebrating special occasions

Food tastes good. But for this price I expected more: more food options, higher quality food. Staff was nice and helpful. And I like the atmosphere too.

Ordered the afternoon tea set, some of them tasted somewhat weird and weren’t to my liking. There were a large variety of teas for you to choose from, which I appreciated. Loved the ice cream / waffle bar, got the matcha & pistachio gelato and it tasted amazing. Service was alright, the staff were quite friendly but sometimes there weren’t enough staff. Absolutely loved the atmosphere, there was live piano the entire time I was enjoying my tea. Decorations were pretty too and the view was nice with warm sunlight.

This was my first time trying the buffet at the tea lounge of Grand Hyatt, having only had their tea set before. The highlights were the three styles of preparing the lobster - steamed, garlic butter, and baked with cheese. The oysters were quite good. As for the crab legs, they were a bit on the small side and overly salty. The Western-style hot dishes were generally decent but none were particularly outstanding. The lobster bisque, however, stood out with its rich and smooth flavour. The truffle butter with fries were also a delightful pairing. Offering a large range of dessert choice as well, pancake, waffle, cake, chocolate, ice-cream...etc The service staff were very attentive , sweet and professional, making the dining experience enjoyable.

Good atmosphere & Xmas ambience, service not bad, seating very comfy. Afternoon tea set well presented with Xmas theme. A bit disappointed on the tea set quality, savory sandwich & scone are a bit dry. The sweets looks good but not the taste though. The highlight would be the buffet bar for the crepe/ waffles and the ice cream, which seems more attractive than the set.

First time trying their afternoon tea. It starts at 3:15 ends at 5. We made reservation, but it was not full at all. The seating was quite comfortable. The service was okay. The food was okay. The presentation was nice, but the tea set wasn't good. We preferred the waffle and crepes with ice cream.

Scones were good, but everything else in the afternoon tea set was pretty mediocre or bad tasting. Looks pretty, but weird flavours, and generally unappetising desserts. Wouldn’t come back ever lol. We don’t have crazy standards for food, but we unfortunately left a lot of food on our plates :/ The crepe and waffle and ice cream station were really fun and delicious though! Live music was nice, and so was the seating by the window. We came for Christmas themed afternoon tea set by the way - maybe this place is good when it’s not the holidays 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yelp
Love trying out afternoon tea when visiting different places. HK has so many to choose from. After comparing reviews, locations, and prices, we decided to make reservations to check out Tiffin at the Grand Hyatt. We were seated at a large table in front of the large picture windows overlooking the park. Relaxing atmosphere with a pianist playing in the background. In addition to tea, various coffee/espresso beverages were also available as well as hot chocolate. Sis went with the pear tree green - pear flavor comes through. I went with the Duchess of Bedford - not sure what it was but it had a pleasant aroma and good flavor. Dad was happy with his hot chocolate, and mom went with a latte. Tiers of scones, sandwiches, and sweets were brought. In addition to these, there's a dessert buffet in which they also offer ice creams, cookies, biscuits, and truffles. They also had made to order waffles and pancakes. Too many sweets that we had to pack them up. Standouts for me were the smoked turkey sandwich, coffee Paris brest, and the apple tart. Sis enjoyed the dessert buffet. Overall rating = 3.5. Service could've been better as we ran out of hot water for our teas and had to ask that it be refilled as no one checked on us. Enjoyable experience nonetheless.

Yelp
This review is based on my afternoon tea experience! If you ever visit Hong Kong, I strongly recommend you to take the time to have an afternoon tea experience at one of their 5 star hotels. You will see how East X West and thus enhanced the overall experience! During my last visit to Hong Kong April 2017, my sister suggested that we go for afternoon tea at Tiffin. At HK$300+, it might sounds pricey but worth every dollar! Tiffin is located in Grand Hyatt's Hotel Lounge. Love the huge floor to ceiling windows! You have a choice of cold/hot tea from the menu or if you are not a tea drinker, there are other options too! The most impressive part is of course the "Afternoon Tea Stand": - Scones with Clotted Cream, Strawberry Jam, Blood Orange & Ginger Maramlade - Dulce de Leche Chocolate Crunch Tart - Mini Green Tea Roll - Passion Fruit Macaroon, Mascarpone Cream - Lemon Coconut Cream - Raspberry Cupcake - Crab Meat & Cucumber Sandwich - Boston Lobster & Avocado Tart, Cocktail Sauce - Homemade Foie Gras Mousse, Chicken Jus Jelly, Lavosh - Freshly Baked French Chicken & Spring Pea Tart - Wagyu Beef Burger - Wild Mushroom Pie with Truffle We went WOW and AHH when it was served to us and I thought that was "a lot" of food and how we going to finish that?! Then I found out we can have all you can eat gelato, sliced cakes, chocolate dip from chocolate fountain and made to order waffle/crepes?! This is just INSANE! Unfortunately or fortunately, there is a time frame of when afternoon tea served daily from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm. So I cannot stay here forever! A lot of tourist might ended up going to Peninsular Hotel for their Afternoon Tea since it is the to go place in most tourist guide for it's Colonial history. But since it is first come first serve, the line can be crazy and the room packed during tourist season. Here at Tiffin, you can make a reservation and enjoy your Afternoon Tea with class and leisure. Is this what the experience suppose to be?

Yelp
I have come here for the buffet lunch a number of times for offsite meetings at the Grand Hyatt hotel. The food quality here is really good. One downside is the variety of choice. The focus is mainly on western food and there really isn't much Chinese food selection. I would appreciate some type of noodle bar, hk roasted meat station, and/or sushi station. Food: 4.25 stars Variety: 3.5 stars Service/environment: 4 stars Recommendations: meat carving station, mango pudding The carving station here and cold cut station are my typical go to stations here. Also, the dessert bar is also really good. They have some really unique ice cream flavors for the more adventurous. I don't know what the price tag is per person but the food here is definitely well above the average buffet in Hong Kong.

Yelp
***Best Cocktails & Sorbet; Many Food Choices*** While reserving the table at Grand Hyatt, I was in a dilemma - to book the buffet at Tiffin (mezzanine floor) OR The Grill buffet (poolside at 11th floor)..... coz both seemed so enticing! .....finally, I reserved BOTH and decided to pick one at the LAST minute. After reaching the Grand Hyatt, I took a chance.....just tossed a coin and went to Tiffin. In hindsight, a great decision !! The FOUR highlights of Tiffin were: 1) HIGH Quality Cocktails (and also a nice selection of the DIGESTIF liqueurs/drinks, which I indeed ordered at the end of the meal) FRENCH MARTINI was excellent and well presented. Just with the first sip, I knew that this buffet place does all of its cocktails really well! I've found that many high quality buffet places are sometimes a bit lacking when it comes to their Cocktails (perhaps because the focus is entirely on food!) No such problems at Tiffin though! 2) EXCELLENT SORBET- - the Madagascar Vanilla Sorbet is "to die for". I could go back just for this one. The Coconut Sorbet is also good. 3) a huge variety of FOOD CHOICES (I couldn't even try all the choices... which is QUITE UNLIKE ME!) 4) A SUPER TALENTED PIANO PLAYER- he just kept playin' ....like he was a machine or something!! Side note- my HSBC Platinum Credit card helped me get a 10% discount. While asking for bill, I asked if any credit card offers are available....words of wisdom: FOOD- There were a lot of food choices and I'm still reserving judgement on some of them coz I couldn't try all of them. The food I loved - STEAK & KIDNEY PIE; CRAB QUICHE; Salads, a decent THAI station (loved those Thai curries); and a decent INDIAN station (Lamb curry was a clear STANDOUT) STEAK & KIDNEY PIE can have a slightly pungent flavor (which I liked), so maybe it's not for everybody. Full marks from me though! On the INDIAN STATION- the Lamb curry was excellent as the meat would literally melt in the mouth.... not extremely spicy either. So it was perfect The THAI fish curry was also excellent. One thing MISSING was the variety in seafood- lobster, oysters were not there, which are fast becoming a standard part of all high-end buffets these days. But I guess, ya can't have it all in life! DIGESTIF - located at the last page of the drinks menu, these liqueurs have amazing quality of digesting your food in minutes no matter how much you ate!! I took the CALVADOS 1991 and .... it gave me a lot of relief because I was literally full with food up to my nose !!

Yelp
Three of us at a conferance next to the Grand Hyatt went to Tiffin for the great British buffet. The food was British with roast beef and Yorkshire pudding and steak and kidney pie and mashed peas. Pie was not bad, beef was very tough and they ran out of Yorkshire pudding. Food was all cold even the gravy. A poor lunch experience and they charged 600 Hong Kong per person which was ridiculous for the poor spread and cold food Giving them two stars is very kind

Yelp
Wow! Without a doubt the best dinner buffet in Hong Kong! Very classy, grand and elegant. Plush oversize sofas spread far apart from other diners, the most extensive buffet selection (and quality food too) balanced with minimal diners, excellent service, and a superb 4 piece jazz band playing tunes to help you relax all evening is my type of fun. There is a whole glass cabinet the size of an entire dessert cafe, filled with different types of ice cream and ice cream cakes, including eggnog ice-cream and truffle ice-cream! The other dessert station also contained amazing looking desserts, one with an injectable tube of caramel. 5 different types of cheese all from France or Italy. The savoury section was huge! Seafood included lobster and abalone. A good selection of standard cold cuts as well as duck and chicken terrainnes. Huge selection of other dishes including a pigeon consumme.

Yelp
What can I say about the buffet in this 5 stars hotel? It is the the best buffet I can get in the Hong Kong island (not quite familiar with the buffet at the dark side tho :P) With a French theme this evening, and without being overwhelmed by tourists, it's quite relaxing to walk around, look around and pick the food elegantly. Pianist was playing both classical and oldies throughout the evening, I almost forgot I was in Wan Chai. Unlike the other hotels which win by the amount of chilled seafood (which are usually tasteless), the food are all delicate and nicely presented. The lobsters are very fresh with seawater taste, and all cracked (so caring!). The Frenchie pate de foie gras and cold cut are also lovely. And not to miss the salad bar, there were both prepared salad presented in glasses, and self-made salad bar where I actually found some veggie that I have never seen. And for the hot food, they offer items that are less common in buffet (e.g. foie gras, paella, and even 6 choices of veggie) The dessert havent failed to suprise me. The whisky infused puff got me almost drunk and the tiramisu with mango juice looks so nice and also taste good.

Yelp
One of the best Sunday brunches in Hong Kong. Everything is here from a sashimi counter to lobster & crabs legs to roast beef & foie gras. Service was top notch and accommodating. Seating is well spaced & it does not feel as crammed as some of its peers' Sunday brunches.
