I visited Pokhara on 8th October to launch my book Colin Smith ‘Putali Baje’ Butterfly Grandad. The lodge is where he would go to do a monthly butterfly audit. I wasn’t staying but we met with staff and were offered coffee biscuits and cake. The banana tray bake is awesome and probably the best I have had.

Recently stayed here at a Cottage. The view is amazing! Excellent customer service, great dining experience, great amenities - library, cozy sitting areas to enjoy the panoramic view and conversations, property is well maintained, offers great excursions, great escape from the hustle and bustle, great for bird watching and nature enthusiasts, honeymoons, wedding anniversary celebrants, family reunions and couples. Thank you for a lovely and memorable stay!

Stayed for 2 nights. Had the place almost for us alone. We were treated as kings & queens. Best staff we encountered.||Very nice in site birding tour. Loved the butterflies.||Best views ever on the Annapurna Range||Only 1 remark: the pool is very chilly, early March :)

I am there for short time and had a good time with snacks. View and the location was amazing. Price is quite high, it seems they offer different activities in packages including pick up and drop. I could not able to explore all the facilities. But the location and environment of the hotel is wonderful.

We stayed 2 nights at this very special hotel and can highly recommend it. |The architecture of the central lodge and separate cottage style rooms is beautiful and in keeping with the surroundings. The food we enjoyed there was the best we experienced in Nepal - all homecooked and lots of it home grown. Particularly delicious were the soups and particularly welcome were the salads!|Best of all though were the attentive and most helpful staff. We would single out Jhalak, the manager, and also Hari, who took us on 2 excellent guided walks to the surrounding villages, pointing out birds, crops and giving us a real insight into the lives and culture of the villagers there. Hari also suggested we bring forward our flight time and made the call himself to a friend on the check-in desk to make this super easy for us. I suspect if we hadn't made this change we would most likely not have made it back to Kathmandu that day so thankyou Hari!.

This is perhaps the best location in Pokhara with delightful staff, with a historical perspective, as it was declared open by Edmund Hillary in 1998. But the building badly requires refurbishment and a much improved cleaning regime under better management and supervision. The bathrooms especially was badly stained with soap and dirt marks in the shower area. We travel every month and for the first time we encountered a situation where a hotel that describes itself as 5 star refuses to do socks and undergarment laundry. They explained that they don't have a washing machine and the laundry is done by hand. Multiple descriptions on their web site are inaccurate and misleading. There is no "indoor Pool", no "in room safe", "Fitness centre" etc . We experienced several power cuts during day and night and was unable to use my CPAP machine and as a result and was up untill 3am. We were told they are unable to operate generator after 10pm because it disturbs the villagers.

One of the most beautiful hotel in Nepal. Offers breathtaking views of the entire Annapurna Range. Highly recommended.

Perched on a ridge 1,000 feet above Pokhara, this eco-lodge delivers breathtaking Annapurna vistas without the Lakeside crowds. The stone-and-wood cottages feature open-air showers and private verandas perfect for stargazing. Their guided village walks introduce you to local Gurung culture - the masala chai at a grandmother's home is unforgettable. The kitchen uses ingredients from their organic farm; try the fiery "Himalayan nettle soup." Note: The steep access road requires 4WD. Ideal for trekkers seeking pre- or post-hike luxury
