Tiger Trails Jungle Lodge

We stayed at the TIGER TRAILS JUNGLE LODGE for three nights in February 2025 and were very disappointed! The value for money is completely out of whack! The lodge may have once been beautiful, but no investment has been made here for at least 20 years, and the complex is in disrepair. The driveway and garden are completely overgrown, the supposed "luxury tents" are torn and unkempt—uninhabitable. The mattress smelled of fish. The towels were moldy. The bathroom fixtures were dirty and covered in limescale. The pillowcase wasn't fresh. Someone had definitely laid their head there before. The balcony sliding door was stiff, the curtains unappealing. The pool was only filled upon request. We were the only guests. The owner is nice and the food was good, but that doesn't justify the condition of the lodge at a completely overpriced rate. The standard is at most one star. There's no luxury here! And the proximity to the Kuthwanda Gate isn't really an advantage either, as the journey to the Dewada-Adegaon Gate is even longer (45 minutes). Internet access is only available via the lodge owner's hotspot during lunch and dinner....

We really had a great experence at this lodge.||We came here to see tigers and we saw a world of animals!! First of all tigers, of course, and really a lot of them but also bears, deers and fantastic birds ( even Paradise birds ).||The lodge is the closest to one of the gate of this wonderful park which I got the idea is one with the largest number of tigers in India.||Outside the lodge there are several cameras which can spot tigers and other wild animals during the night and early in the morning.||The resort in itself is more than basic and if your aim is to see wild animals and not a holiday to relax in a seven star hotel this is the place to stay.||The resort is extremely clean and safe and food is really delicious and they organized for us wonderful safaris. The owner of the property is very passionate about wild animals and a great expert of them. He is also a man who has travelled the world and of great culture. We had the pleasure of having great conversations with him sharing various points of view. At the moment we were the only guests at the lodge and we felt realy at home. Staff is extremely good and the safari guide of the resort can surprisingly spot any trace of wild life anywhere.||I would suggest staying more days so as to enjoy all the various activities they offer.||Thank you again to all of you to let us have the opportunity to enjoy this great experience.

We were a group of 7 people who stayed at this lodge for 9 days on a tiger safari tour arranged by Wild Images from UK.||This lodge is in shambles. It seems it has not been maintained and it seems that no one has stayed at this lodge in a long time. Otherwise, how do you explain water leaking from the sink (which wasn’t fixed), most of the lights in the room and bathroom not working, water dripping from the air conditioner in the bedroom, closets that had layers of dust and critters making it their home. We were advised to keep our clothes in our bags. We had a frog companion in our room for the duration of our stay. No internet access, not even in the common area. And oh, did I mention that this was their “best room”.||The food served for the 9 days was monotonous. Practically the same food every day with one new dish daily. The non-vegetarian dish was often recycled. One person in the group was a pescatarian but the lodge could not meet her dietary needs even once. This person was forced to eat the same pasta dish for lunch and dinner every day. They did serve fruit at each meal — in a small bowl. Not enough for each person to get even two pieces. Although bananas were plenty.||I do have to commend the service from the wait staff. They were great, very courteous and efficient, and served us with a smile.||The pool was unusable because it was drained of water. As a result it was dirty. The response from the management was “if you would like to use the pool, I could get it cleaned and fill it with water”. Given the condition of the pool, the groups’ unanimous decision was “No, thank you”. Again, the lack of maintenance (or caring) was obvious.||A Motel 6 would be considered a high-end luxury resort compared to Tiger Trails Lodge.

My wife and I spent four nights here and were pleasantly surprised. The lodge has a new manager and he and his staff went to great lengths to give us a fantastic experience. The chef was outstanding and even gave my wife a personal cooking class. The rooms are basic, but really more than adequate and the close proximity to the gate at Tadoba was a big plus. The property is also large and tigers do pass close to the lodge, though there is a fence around the hotel proper. We saw seven tigers, including the famous Tara and her two mischievous cubs. Just a great, great experience.

This was a wonderful place to stay. Very close to one of the Gates. The Naturalist and the Business Manager were both lovely people and extremely helpful and friendly. The Naturalist was very knowledgeable about the birds which we especially appreciated on our Walking Safaris. ||The Jeep Safaris booked through them, were wonderful. The Naturalist accompanied us as well as the Park Guide. We were lucky enough to see Tigers!!! ||The chef here is excellent and prepared delicious meals and cakes! The accommodation was good and our room overlooked a waterhole, which was a short distance away.

I posted what I thought was a review for this Lodge but it was published as Tadoba Park... which is also fabulous for tiger sightings, however before coming to this lodge at the gate of the park I saw some really negative reviews.|Tiger Trails lodge is comfortable, friendly and informative. Their head naturalist Himanshu Bagge is amazing and made our adventure so good with tiger sighting on 7 out of eight days. If people want 5 Star luxury stay home... when one is on safari there is no time for lazing around.

This is an amazing camp. Tigers, wild dogs, bears, gaur, sambhar, nilgai, are regular visitors. Since our last trip they have added four Africa Style safari tents - with big windows and viewing directly into the jungle. The camp has a number of water holes on the grounds and photographic hides. This is the real wildlife experience - jungle walks, boat safaris and the hides complement the jeep safaris. ||||If you look at the Tadoba map you can see that Tiger Trails is on their own land that juts into the core area of the park and this is unique. A key feature is that the park gate is a few minutes away and entering from this gate means no queues.||||This is a magic blend of luxury and wilderness.

We very much enjoyed our stay here. We enjoyed: - The friendly staff that has knowledge about the wildlife (and birds!). - The beautiful tent room with view on the outside drinking pool. - The perfect tiger excursion that they offered. If you can, try visiting their office/home in Aurangabad last minute. Kind people!
