Tigerlily

Was here for my 70th birthday present. Our Room was absolutely beautiful and we were blown away with our upgrade. Service by all staff was fantastic throughout our stay. So friendly and helpful. Food was outstanding especially the seafood platter. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices.

We had a wonderful stay at Tigerlilly. We really liked the very large room with excellent amenities and the unusual design of the bar. We have never stayed in a hotel where you even have fresh milk for your coffee and a hair straightener in your room. The service and friendliness of the team was remarkable and we will definitely be back! The location is also very good, only the air conditioning in our room did not work properly.

Myself and my partner visited Tigerlily on the 30th of December for dinner and drinks. First impressions were great, the Christmas decorations were beautiful. The lady hosting (think she was Australian) was absolutely fabulous! She was genuinely the loveliest person, she made us feel so welcome. She sat us at the bar until our table was ready. The only down side to the visit was the bar staff. They completely ignored us and another gentleman at the bar who when he eventually caught the eye of i believe the bar manager actually said i thought i was invisible. I understand they were busy making drinks for the people at their tables but they could have at least acknowledged us. Once seated we had another lovely lady take our order. We shared our starters, soup and prawns. Both were delicious, I had a burger and my partner had fish and chips, again lovely food. The wine and cocktails were fab too. We will definitely be back. Also loved how the lady hosting walked you back out, she genuinely was a star, I watched her interact with everyone and she was super friendly. She would be one of the reasons to return ❤️

Absolutely loved our stay. Very comfortable bed. Nice shower. They upgraded us to a king room we had booked a classic double.Room was lovely.This is such a beautiful hotel and the staff were so helpful and friendly.Only small issue for me was i took a charging cable expecting a usb port but there wasn't one in the room. So remember a plug. Megan on reception helped me out while we ate breakfast and charged my phone for me.Breakfast was wonderful. Great quality ingredients. I had the tigerlily grill - full scottish breakfast and my husband had the french toast with bacon and maple syrup.Will definitely be staying again.

This is a really well position Bar/Hotel, the rooms are really really nice, although ive taken a star off because we didn't have Hot water in our sink and there was a stain on thebedding throw. The food is r really nice and bar / restaurant staff are great. The menu is limited but nice. You also get a stocked fridge with beer, wine, water, fizzy drinks and you also get crisps, nuts, chocolate.

Amazing hotel / bar/ restaurant. The room we had was beautiful lovely and spacious we were threw for my friends birthday & they very kindly decorated the room for us! It was lovely she was thrilled. The staff are lovely friendly & so helpful. Food was delicious & cocktail choices brilliant also very tasty. Cannot fault it here other than the room was a shade to warm & the wifi isn't great as it frequently dips out but other than that fantastic stay! Must visit place for food & cocktails when visiting Edinburgh 😋

Nice hotel but not for children. Very picturesque, but a few tiny things as to why I probably wouldnt return. Tiny lift and no help with luggage. Nothing really for children and had to ask for a childrens menu which they had to print off. Ordered kids cheese and tomato pasta and it was a tin of chopped tomatoes over some pasta so sent it back. The corridor was dirty and the room didnt look as nice as in the pics. The breakfast was ok but I prefer a buffet. Great location. Some of the staff were lovely and super friendly and some not so much. I had also emailed beforehand as it was a special celebration, but was completely ignored. I think this hotel is more for youngsters as the bar is great and they do a brunch. Its a very small boutique hotel. I love the pinks. Just work a little on service and cleaning.

I had lunch at Tiger Lilly with my Husband for my 70th Birthday today. Greeted at the door by an AMAZING member of staff, didn't catch her name but I think she's Australian. She showed us to our table and organised a mimosa to be delivered to our table, such a lovely gesture. We were served by another lovely staff member, no name, sorry. She was very attentive and chatty. The meal was presented well and tasted great. We shared bread, followed by sweet potato bhaji, for my Husband. We both had chicken schnitzel with crusty potatoes in cheese sauce and rocket, really tasty. I went on to have sticky toffee pudding, to die for. This arrived complete with a candle, a lovely little touch. We had a fantastic afternoon and will definitely be returning in the near future. It's the little things that matter and the team got it spot on. Thank you all so much xxx
