Tigh Fitz

Highly recommend staying here if you’re overnighting on the island! It was my first time visiting, and Anne made our stay incredibly enjoyable:) from the little jar full of biscuits (which I ate all of, because they were incredible) to all the help she offered. The flat is absolutely gorgeous and comfortable. I’ll definitely be back!

Truly lovely! Penny is a kind and welcoming host, and she keeps the house in great order. Rooms are nice, comfortable, and breakfast is delicious. It’s a little walk from town, but don’t let that bother you- call ahead and she’ll organize a car to bring you from and to the ferry. If you’re staying overnight this is the place to stay!

I stayed in Tigh Fitz at the end of May (2023) for three night. It is a very well run B&B. It was a pleasure to meet Penny and her staff, they were very friendly and accommodating, always ready to help. The room was comfortable with lovely views, the bed was very comfortable too. It was great to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The island itself is beautiful. The best way to see it, in my opinion, would be by renting a bike. All in all, I really enjoyed my stay and hope to return in the future.

Wonder b and b proprietor is very welcoming and friendly. Utterly spotless rooms, lots of clean towels and hot water. Location is ideal for exploring the island. Lovely breakfast, good choice available. Scrambled eggs are a little iffy. Would highly recommend a stay here. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful B&B and location, fantastic breakfast and lovely rooms. I booked Tigh Fitz direct through their website for a two-night holiday weekend at the end of August. Penny was so pleasant, welcoming and accommodating throughout the booking and during our stay, letting us know about local areas and recommendations. I'd highly recommend!

From the moment we landed at Penny's , she couldn't have made our stay any better. Marvellous staff , beautiful view from our room , lovely breakfast , arranged a wonderful day trip for us and a lift to the pier for our departure. Will 100% be back. Thank you Penny & Co.

Had a stay here recently for a weekend, location is good, rooms were clean and comfortable and penny was lovely, welcoming and pleasant, she was on hand to help or answer any questions about getting around and what to do,also arranged transport back to the boat on the day we were leaving which was a big help. Will definitely be back.

This place was absolutely amazing! Penny was a wonderful host who went out of her way to help us with directions, dropping off luggage, etc. The room was charming, and the area was quiet and beautiful. My favorite place in Ireland! It was a short walk, 20 minutes or so, into the town for dinner and/or drinks.

Penny was absolutely lovely. Clearly one of the best Irish women there is. We stayed the night on 16-2-17 and arrived on the last ferry. She followed up with us 24hr in advance, had a ride lined up with us (Noel Mahon [Runs Taxi and Van tour business on island - Best taxi tour service on island]). When we got there much of the island was closed down but a couple restaurants back by the ferry. She didn't hesitate to offer to drop us off because she knew we had to be hungry. She is truly a wonderful person and can provide some wonderful recommendations. Having known Penny for just 24hr, she felt like a distant relative and cared greatly for us - I'm confident she will do the same for you and recommend booking directly from her during your trip!
