Tigh Fitz

Highly recommend staying here if you’re overnighting on the island! It was my first time visiting, and Anne made our stay incredibly enjoyable:) from the little jar full of biscuits (which I ate all of, because they were incredible) to all the help she offered. The flat is absolutely gorgeous and comfortable. I’ll definitely be back!

The best b&b in ALL of Ireland. No better place to stay on Inishmore. Amazing location. Wonderful views and an easy walk to the port area. Lots of options to had from this location...Biking, walking and beaches. Beautiful building that has been in the family for generations. Penny Fitzpatrick, the owner, is wonderfully friendly and helpful!

I loved this place! It's a beautiful property, the view from our room was incredible. The breakfast choices were much appreciated, have the full Irish if you wish but there's lots of other choices, too. An easy walk to the village and local sites. Penny, you're an amazing hostess, thanks for arranging all our transportation and for your kind hospitality. Highly recommended!

We spent 1 night at Tigh Fitz while visiting Inishmore. |Before the review, I highly recomend spending the night on Inishmore. There is more to see and do than can be accomplished in the time between ferry drop off and pickup. Spend the night, explore, and go out for drinks in the evening. ||On to the review: Penny is an increible host and we loved out stay at Tigh Fitz. It is located close enough to the ferry drop off that you can walk, or easily rent bike and bike to Tigh Fitz. The rooms are very comfortable and the showers had nice hot water (important after a day exploring). Breakfast was very good. ||Penny was helpful in coordinating a van to take us into town and she knew all the good vendors on the island. Ask her for advice and take whatever she says to the bank.

Truly lovely! Penny is a kind and welcoming host, and she keeps the house in great order. Rooms are nice, comfortable, and breakfast is delicious. It’s a little walk from town, but don’t let that bother you- call ahead and she’ll organize a car to bring you from and to the ferry. If you’re staying overnight this is the place to stay!

We stayed two nights at this delightful B&B. The house is large, quiet & a comfortable walk from ‘town’. Breakfast had nice options. Penny brought in ice for our happy hour & we enjoyed takeout one evening overlooking the sea in the backyard! Highly recommend.

Wonder b and b proprietor is very welcoming and friendly. Utterly spotless rooms, lots of clean towels and hot water. Location is ideal for exploring the island. Lovely breakfast, good choice available. Scrambled eggs are a little iffy. Would highly recommend a stay here. We will definitely be back.

Where do we start? This was the highlight of our holiday in Ireland, and we've had a jolly time. Penny is a marvel and her staff are attentive and professional. She managed to get us another room when my mistake booking us had us at Tigh Fitz three, not four nights. I'd have settled for the potting shed. ||Breakfasts were superb, the room clean and nicely appointed, and our every need was addressed, including taxi service back to the ferry after we'd turned in our bikes. One of my favorite B&Bs of all time, and we are picky.

This place was absolutely amazing! Penny was a wonderful host who went out of her way to help us with directions, dropping off luggage, etc. The room was charming, and the area was quiet and beautiful. My favorite place in Ireland! It was a short walk, 20 minutes or so, into the town for dinner and/or drinks.

Penny was absolutely lovely. Clearly one of the best Irish women there is. We stayed the night on 16-2-17 and arrived on the last ferry. She followed up with us 24hr in advance, had a ride lined up with us (Noel Mahon [Runs Taxi and Van tour business on island - Best taxi tour service on island]). When we got there much of the island was closed down but a couple restaurants back by the ferry. She didn't hesitate to offer to drop us off because she knew we had to be hungry. She is truly a wonderful person and can provide some wonderful recommendations. Having known Penny for just 24hr, she felt like a distant relative and cared greatly for us - I'm confident she will do the same for you and recommend booking directly from her during your trip!
