What a truly fantastic experience we had on Canna, with Aileen. |Canna welcomed us with sunshine. Aileen collected our bags at the pier, so we could walk up the easy charming hill path around Canna House to get to Tighard. |There we had the ‘run’ of the house, with beautiful views, spacious elegant rooms and a well stocked tray and fridge for drinks and biscuits. |Our room, with huge comfortable bed, had a stunning view and comfy sofa, to watch the wildlife, the clouds and the sea. Aileen cooked the best mackerel and accompaniments we’d ever tasted. Breakfast with fresh berries, yogurt, seeds …cereal and porridge if desired was a good healthy start to the day. The cooked breakfast was too much of a temptation to resist. |Nothing was trouble for Aileen as she was a lovely hostess, keen to meet our every need. . She even managed to engineer a plan for us to get on a Calmac ferry, when we had to return to Mallaig at the last minute, earlier than expected. |We loved the island and friendly people. The tour of SNT Canna House was outstanding and set the scene historically, economically and socially. It was a fascinating insight into the lives of the last owners.

The Isle of Canna and Tighard Guest House have been on my bucket list for many years after reading an interesting newspaper article on this somewhat remote Scottish Island. Neither the island nor Tighard B & B host Aileen disappointed when we finally realized an opportunity to visit this summer. Tighard offers exceptional accommodation and Aileen is a great host, providing outstanding meals and lots of interesting island information. I don't have second thoughts about providing a recommendation and I look forward to returning in the future. BTW, when there, make a point of booking at the Canna Cafe for an exceptional dining experience.

My friend and I have just spent three amazing days on Canna staying at Tighard.|We were made to feel so welcome by Eileen, encouraged to make ourselves at home and come and go as we pleased. We had the most fabulous time, wonderful breakfasts, an evening meal we didn’t want to end. The rooms are lovely with breathtaking views, spotlessly clean, we very quickly felt at home.|Eileen is also knowledgeable about Canna and its history which added to the experience. We had a blast, we will be back.

What a place! Tighard is an Edwardian house with large and extremely comfortable bedrooms,. We stayed in Sanday, which has a huge bed and a squashy sofa in the bay window where you can sit for hours overlooking the anchorage. Aileen is a brilliant host, friendly and informative with a great eye fir design as well as providing tasty breakfasts and dinner. Couldn't recommend it more highly.

Stayed for 3 nights in early May 2024 with my daughter and had a wonderful time. Aileen gave us a very warm welcome. She is a very caring host and provides a high quality stay in her house. She was very informative about things to do and see on Canna. The food she served was excellent and there was plenty of it for hungry people. Tighard is a delightful place to stay in. The room Hyskeir was very comfortable with a high quality, it was very clean and has a peaceful environment. Canna is a joy to explore. Thank you Aileen.
