Tighard Guest House

Stayed for 3 nights in early May 2024 with my daughter and had a wonderful time. Aileen gave us a very warm welcome. She is a very caring host and provides a high quality stay in her house. She was very informative about things to do and see on Canna. The food she served was excellent and there was plenty of it for hungry people. Tighard is a delightful place to stay in. The room Hyskeir was very comfortable with a high quality, it was very clean and has a peaceful environment. Canna is a joy to explore. Thank you Aileen.

What a superb place. From our welcome as we got off the ferry to the end of our stay we all enjoyed ourselves immensely. Aileen made us all feel very welcome and was a great host. The venison casserole was delicious. The views from our rooms were stunning. A fabulous stay on Canna.

Aileen was the perfect host. Friendly, helpful & made us feel at home. She went above & beyond to help make our holiday easier for us. Would definitely stay again, such a nice lady.

Highly recommended We stayed on Canna and at Tighard guesthouse for 5 nights and loved every moment of it. The island is great for walking and for just getting away from it all. If in the right season, make sure you make the signposted walk to the stack where the puffins are breeding. A short uphill walk from Tighard takes you the Compass Hill, which is great for the fantastic views. If you’re in for a longer hike follow the south coast to the most westerly point of the island. The return trip took us 6 relaxed hours. Make sure to watch out for the skuas and the golden eagles. We also spotted a white-tailed eagle with its young. Tighard is very comfortable and cozy. We stayed in the large Sanday room. We loved sitting on the sofa in front of the large windows with a book and our binoculars. Aileen is a great host. The breakfast is very good. She also prepares a very good diner on request twice a week. If you’ve got the chance, go for it. Wouter & Irene

We had an amazing stay with the whole family at the guest house. The location of the house is spectacular and the house itself very tasteful and with all the comfort you might need. Aileen is a wonderful host who made sure we had everything we needed. After a full day of wandering the beautiful island of Cana it was amazing to come home and spend some time in the living room with the fire place on and the most amazing views of the island. Aileen cooked us delicious food catered to all our needs. We loved our stay, it was a very special time for our family so thank you Aileen for making our stay so wonderful.

A room with a view, yes, it certainly was! We stayed in early July and this was the most fabulous and relaxing stay of our whole month long journey! As you can see, every window really does have a wonderful view. And Aileen is the best host too!

Cannot recommend highly enough. Aileen is a superb host, Couldn't do enough to make my stay a pleasant one. Lovely clean establishment, cooked breakfast superb. If you're staying on the beautiful island of Canna, make Tighard your accommodation choice!

We've just had a wonderful 6 night stay at Tighard. Aileen is a tremendous host, very friendly and helpful. Our room was very comfortable and airy. We've loved our time here and we hope to return soon.
