Tihama Restaurant Bronx

Wow really good food! Definitely a basic restaurant in terms of tables and chairs and decor, but the food is so delicious and the service is great. The fresh soft bread is huge and so yummy and only like $3. We got the Mandy Lamb with rice which was excellent, and the hummus. The tea is black and sweet and the music was beautiful! Definitely will return. Definitely recommend. Decent prices too. Oh and the soup and salad were both delish! Like a curry chicken broth and tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce and a good sauce.

Nice people the rice exquisite the chicken is charcuterie and the vegetables are as healthy as can be when you slide through Bronxpark East with your Toyota come to Tihama.

Ordered through uber, foods was so over salted it was actually offensive mind you I actually enjoy savory foods. Bread dough wasn’t fully cooked, Fish sahlta came with a literal inch of oil sitting on top. I was shocked when I saw the reviews on google were actually good. We threw everything out after taking a bite of each things. Haram to waste food but it was a literal health hazard to consume at this point.

Hidden gem! Amazing food and service. Very unique flavors and everything home made. Loved the Yemeni bread and complimentary tea. Definitely worth the trip and will be back.

Best Yemeni food in USA I like mandi meat , madfoon meat is so delicious and I like the fly fish too with Yemeni bread (Slalad and soup is free)

The food was delicious. I've tried a few other Yemeni restaurants in other areas and this was my favorite Yemeni restaurant that I've ever tried. The food was excellent, from the soup and salad to the various lamb dishes to the giant bread. The servers were very attentive and gave good service. The place is a small place on a quiet block. It's nothing fancy but the food is good, so I'll be going back again.

It's our first time dining here, but we had Yemeni food before in Brooklyn. I was hesitant to come here at first, as I'm not very familiar with the food, and the menu I found online was a bit confusing. But we come to the Bronx for the zoo and botanical garden multiple times a year, so I'd like to find something other than the familiar Italian places along Arthur. We arrived and there was no one else dining in the restaurant on a Saturday. We were greeted warmly and were given menus, and a young guy came offering help with the menu. To be honest, he couldn't exactly answer the questions we asked, but I did my homework (just a bit of googling lol) so we ordered everything quickly. The food came really quickly, and although most of the staff seemed unable to communicate in English, they tried their best to be helpful. Everything was piping hot and fresh, and delicious. The bread was so fluffy and yummy I had way too much, and they served two big pieces which were more than enough for us. The portions here in general are pretty big. We'd definitely come back next time we're in the Bronx. I hope they can add some description to their menu so those who are not familiar with the cuisine can easily decide what they want. :)

Delicious food, great service! Humble atmosphere and the prices...forget about it! Brought the family here twice in less than a month.
