This is the fourth time I have visited this restaurant, but the first time I feel compelled to leave a review. Unfortunately, this is due to a recurring issue rather than a one-time experience.
The restaurant itself is beautiful, located right by the water, with a pleasant atmosphere and a very nice ambiance. On the surface, it has everything it needs to be an enjoyable place.
However, every single time my husband and I have been here, there has been an issue when requesting a table. Even though there are clearly multiple empty tables available, we are consistently not allowed to choose where to sit and are instead directed to sit wherever the staff decides.
This is not a matter of reserved tables. I state this confidently because the tables we requested remained empty for the entire duration of our visit, including when we left the restaurant.
At this point, it feels less like a coincidence and more like staff convenience being prioritized over customer experience. Keeping guests concentrated in one area may be easier for the personnel, but if large sections of the restaurant are open and visible, it is reasonable for customers to expect the option to sit there.
When we ask why we cannot be seated at a specific table, the explanations are always vague, inconsistent, and do not make sense.
Because of this ongoing frustration, we did not order dinner. We only ordered an appetizer and three drinks, and ultimately decided to leave early because the experience had already left us upset. No one goes out expecting to cut their evening short, but feeling dismissed and disregarded makes it difficult to enjoy the rest of the visit.
A restaurant experience begins the moment a customer walks in. Guests should feel welcomed and respected, not controlled or brushed aside. Repeatedly being told no without a clear and reasonable explanation, while watching empty tables remain unused, sends the message that customer preference does not matter.
This situation has happened multiple times, and unfortunately, it has reached the point where we are considering taking our business elsewhere. It is disappointing, because this restaurant has great potential, but atmosphere alone does not make up for a pattern of poor hospitality.
