This was the first place we went after landing at LIH and it was so good we returned later in the week. The tacos were juicy and flavorfull. Excellent ratio of meat to toppings and the homemade tortillas were great too. I got the Kahuna Fish (spicy fish taco) and my wife got the Kalua Pig Taco. Both were great. When we went back later in the week, we both got the Kalua Pig taco. Other things to know: The only drinks available are cans or bottles. Indoor seating is limited, but there is additional seating outside and the weather in Kauai is great for outdoor dining. There is an adjacent indoor space that is empty and seems like it could be used for additional seating. Note the parking lot is a decent size but take notice it is shared by several businesses. They seem to have signs indicating which parking spaces are for which places so make sure you park in a Tiki Taco spot. Overall: the food was great and the decorations / ambiance was great too.

Google
This place is the real deal. Incredibly good I had to get a third taco. The cheese quesadilla was delicious. The pollo loco tacos hit the spot and definitely has a kick. The roasted vegetable taco also hit the spot. Marinated tofu is one my wife loved. Don’t miss out on this place in Kauai, it’s worth it. All the sauces were good especially the green one.

Google
It's exactly what it needs to be, a delicious taco place, my whole family loved it so much we all came back for seconds. Prices on par or maybe even less compared to other places on the island. Super yummy (try the green hot sauce) we tried this place the last day of our stay, don't make that mistake because you will want to come back!!!!

Google
We had vegetarian fire tacos! The food was one of the best we’ve eaten! Homemade made tortillas, cooked fresh. The veggies were fresh as well. They have some awesome sauces ranging from very mild to extra hot. The tacos were huge! I had one and my husband has two. Definitely going there again!

Google
Gnarly waves are awesome, but hold up, because Tiki Tacos on Kauai is where you'll find some seriously tasty food! If you're exploring the island, this spot in Kapaʻa is a must-visit for a flavor explosion. They've totally nailed this Hawaiian-Mexican fusion thing, serving up tacos that are packed with fresh, local goodness. You gotta try their Kalua Pork tacos – they're like a taste of the luau, wrapped in a tortilla. Or, if you're feeling a bit more adventurous, the Fish tacos with the fresh catch of the day are top-notch. And for those who like a little heat, the Tiki Fire Pork will get your tastebuds going! But the real magic, besides their epic salsas, are those handmade corn tortillas – thick and fresh, they hold all that deliciousness together. Seriously, these tacos are so big, you might only need one to get your fill and still have room for some shaved ice. The vibe here is super chill, just what you want after a day in the sun. You can hang loose inside or grab a spot outside and soak up the island air. Plus, the crew is always stoked to see you and super friendly. And don't worry, even the veggie lovers have options like the Spicy Tiki Fire Vegetable Taco or the Roasted Vegetable Taco. So, next time you're on Kauai, cruise on over to Tiki Tacos. You'll be stoked you did, and probably dreaming about those tacos until your next visit.

Google
We adore this place. The gluten free shells are so tasty! Handmade every morning with amazing ingredients. It's a little difficult to read but on the bottom blackboard it says All Tacos Served With: Handmade Tortilla, Island grown red/green cabbage, Queso Fresco, Sour Cream, Grilled Onions, and Homemade Salsa. To make it dairy free all you need to do is take off the sour cream & queso fresco. Everything is tasty but the True Imu Kalua pig is the best. Once you get your taco don't forget to grab one of their homemade sauces. They take the taco from amazing to delicious. 2022 and 2025

Google
Yum! These tacos are large and delicious. My go-to is the fire carne asada. They make their own tortillas too. It takes a while once you order, but worth the wait.

🌮🌴 If you're in Kauai and looking for bold flavors with a local twist, Tiki Tacos is a must-visit! We tried the marinated tofu taco and veggie quesadilla—both were fresh, satisfying, and packed with flavor. The real stars? Their mango and habanero sauces! The perfect mix of sweet heat and tropical zing. Friendly service and generous portions make this place a great casual stop after a beach day. Vegetarian-friendly and full of island vibes. 🌶️🥭🌮

Yelp
Wow!!! Tacos were amazing! I got there be minute before closing and they let me order them to go. I was so glad u got to try them on my visit. The surf and stuff was perfect and the spicy fish great too! I wish I had grabbed more sauces because they were delicious!

Yelp
This locally owned restaurant is a small, cute, cozy place with cool decorations to symbolize their Hawaiian and Mexican fusion cuisine. They specialize is several types of tacos that are both traditional and also a great, unique blend of cultures like a kalua pig taco or a pork and shrimp taco. Yum! Their handmade and homemade tortillas are outstanding and very fresh. Their tacos and other items are very generous in portions. We loved their chicken taco, fish taco and carne asada taco. Their special salsa was also very delicious. If you love tacos, we recommend you come to this place. Service here was very friendly and helpful. We loved it here and will be back for more

Yelp
The Tacos were great, a bit on the expensive side but yes I would go back. Service was great. This are hand made tortillas & they are big tortillas. Ambiance was chill, not too bad. The owner came out to explain everything/ingredients on the food.
google avatar

Sree S.

Yelp
The tortilla were a bit thick and the fish was grilled well but a tad salty. Not the greatest of location lots of flies.
google avatar

Mel M.

Yelp
Stumbled onto these tasty tacos. Not only are the tacos overly filled with meat of your choice, they're wrapped in a handmade shell. You're greeted by a very welcoming owner that will give you the rundown of the menu. The space is small and quant with seating both inside and out. The walls are decorated with colorful interpretation of art that's defines the vibe of the island. Worth giving it a try. One taco can be filling. Two will satisfy your curiosity. BTW the salsas vary in spice levels and are all full of flavor.

Yelp
This place is incredible! The tortillas are made fresh to order, and the tacos are generously sized, making the $8-11 price range well worth it. You order at the counter and can choose to dine indoors or outdoors, offering a great atmosphere for any preference. Its very low key and the service was fast & friendly.
google avatar

K N.

Yelp
Stopped in here while visiting based on the recommendation from a friend. I ordered the fish taco (this day it was mahi mahi). The order took at least 15 minutes to prepare. I was surprised by the longer wait but I believe it's because they make the tortillas on demand. The food was hot and fresh but my taco lacked flavor. The tortilla was gummy and the fish was also not seasoned well. Given the price and my first time experience I'm not sure I'd return. If I did I'd probably opt for the salad and avoid the tacos altogether.
google avatar

Polina L.

Yelp
The atmosphere is nice, with well-done decor, but it's not enough to make me want to eat inside. We decided to order takeout and got two tacos for $30, which felt overpriced. The fish and fillings were worth about $5, but the shell was mushy and soggy, making it unpleasant. Honestly, I'd rather get poké elsewhere.

Yelp
My hubby decided on fish tacos on our trip and read good reviews of this place near our hotel so we decided to try it on "taco " Tuesday. What a great choice and everything was delicious. We had their fish taco with Mahi Mahi and the carnitas taco. I am not a real corn tortilla fan but their corn tortillas were perfect and did not fall apart. We plan to come back here one more time before we leave.

Yelp
Great tacos kind of 1970 dinning people were friendly I would record it lunch or in between meal we had a variety there was 6 of us
google avatar

April L.

Yelp
The tacos are amazing! More seating is needed-maybe the dining room was just closed??? Either way there was not much available seating when I was there. Every taco I tasted was fantastic!

Yelp
We love this place! It is next door to our favorite Kapa'a restaurant, JO2. We finally tried it after seeing how busy it was while we were waiting for our JO2 table. Nothing fancy, just good tacos. It's a bit of a hole-in-the wall in a small strip mall on Kuhio Highway. Besides JO2 there is a pipe shop and a piercing parlour in the complex. On this trip, I had the Al Pastor pork taco ($10.75) and my partner had "The Best Fish Taco" ($10.75.) Previously we have tried the Kahuna Fish Taco, the Tiki Fire Pork Taco, and the Pollo Loco (all spicy.) On any of the "spicy" tacos be sure to taste them first before you add more hot sauce. They are not kidding when they say "spicy." BYOB (beer) or grab a Penefel out of the fridge and sit outside. Again some pretty nervy Kauai chickens hanging about. Please do not feed them, that is the reason they are so pushy.

Yelp
My family and I dropped by per a recommendation from our ziplining instructor, and we all got the royal hawaiian fish taco. The taco is hugee and one will most likely fill you up, unless you have a big appetite, then maybe two. The fish was grilled in a lovely marinade and topped with their green salsa and pineapple. The fish was a little dry for my taste, but overall a solid taco. The caramelized onions were an added plus. The lady working at the front was super friendly as we were deciding what to order. There's a couple small tables inside and outside, but it seems like it's mostly a to-go spot. If I were to visit Kauai again in the near future, I want to try their Kalua pork taco.
google avatar

Doreen T.

Yelp
Many places close early in Kauai and we were lucky to find Tiki Tacos. Their corn tortillas are freshly made and the portion is generous. Their fish of the day was Ono and we were drooling. Hubby and I shared a kalua pork taco, a shrimp and fish taco, and a fish quesadilla. In fact all 3 looked like a quesadilla because they were all so big! So delicious and tasty! Glad the worker recommended the kalua pork to us because that was the best one. Just like their sign say outside, Mexican food with a Hawaiian heart. What a great find in Kapaa!
google avatar

Yelp
it's been almost ten years since dining at Tiki Tacos and the savory goodness hasn't been forgotten, really made a hit with Azul Corn Tortilla on their inception. Hint messy is always good in a taco!
google avatar

Gage G.

Yelp
BEST TACOS ALL TRIP!!! The tortillas (gluten free) are made in-house daily and all their meats were fresh, juicy, and so delicious! The vibe inside is pretty chill and standard for a taco joint but we sat outside and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! There was always a line the whole time we were there but everyone's food came out within a few minutes! The menu has plenty of options ranging from all the fish, beef, pork, and even lamb! They have several options for vegetarians, too. We will for sure come back to Tiki Tacos next time we visit Kaua'i!!
google avatar

Stephanie J.

Yelp
Absolutely the best way to start our day on the way to Hanalei with a stop at Tiki Tacos in Kapaa for the Mahi Mahi Kahuna Taco and the Imu Kalua Pig taco with guacamole and a bottled coke. Super friendly service and to top it off...homemade gluten-free corn tortillas. And yes, one giant taco is enough but two is perfect for sharing.

Jennifer W.

Yelp
these are definitely the best fish tacos anywhere. The tortillas are freshly handmade, nice and thick. The tacos are very generous portion size. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Analiese K.

Yelp
Absolutely stellar "best fish taco". Definitely lives up to the name. You really only need one, but hey if you've got an appetite, order a couple ‍ Quesadilla was also tasty This is a self proclaimed "hole in the wall", which is THE ONLY way to have tacos. Both salsas were good, I'm partial to green but the red was also great! Time to hit the beach!
google avatar

Tanmay T.

Yelp
Tanmay's scale: - Scrumptiousness: 5/5 - Service: 4/5 - Ambience: 2/5 - Cleanliness: 3/5 - Value for money: 5/5 - Vegetarian friendly: 3/5 - Parking: 5/5 We went here for lunch on Monday noon. The place wasn't crowded and there is a plenty of parking outside. They have limited tables inside and outside. If it is windy, think twice before eating outside. I ordered tiki fire vegetables taco. It came out pretty fast and was almost the portion size of a lunch. It is definitely 1.5 times bigger than a regular taco. The taco was too good. I have never had such a good vegetarian taco. The sauce and spiciness was perfect and I didn't have to add anything. They don't give water, so byo.
google avatar

Jeremy P.

Yelp
When they say the tacos are big.. they mean it. I had two and they were beyond filling. The tortillas are hand made and are soft and may break apart a little but mine stayed together. My wife and kids ones broke up a little. The flavors were great. One thing I would say is the fish was a little bland. I had the pork and fish taco which was good and the savory fish. The topping and meat were plentiful. The asada taco was excellent and bursting with the right seasoning. The staff were awesome and insightful on their tacos. Very friendly.

Brenda P.

Yelp
The best experience at Tiki Tacos in Kapaa! We give it a wow! The best taco we've had ...ever! The flavors and fresh ingredients pack a punch. We were very impressed and will return every chance we get while on the island. Great staff too. Very friendly and welcomingz
google avatar

John H.

Yelp
Unexpectedly perfect! A cornucopious array of tacos, and yes they are REAL taco sized (none of this bite sized street taco garbage), and they are stellar. You wouldn't think that Mexican food could reasonably exist on Kauai, and yet they nail it. I had the lamb and the beef and a diet Coke and yes. Splendid and brilliant.
google avatar

Kymber T.

Yelp
This place has the best tacos I've ever had in my life! Everything was delicious, the quality of the meats, the durability of the tortillas and all the other components made it for me. We came back 3xs on our trip to Kauai. Don't miss out trying these guys!!

Allegra L.

Yelp
Our group of 5 was split on Tiki Tacos. I LOVED my Kayla pig and the steak with fired onion was amazing. Our spicy guys said the fire beef and the spicy shrimp were both hot but the heat lacked flavor and they wouldn't order them again. Fish tacos were good. The employee who helped us was friendly and made good recommendations, but the food took 40 minutes to prepare. There's not a lot of seating, but there is a bathroom (a rare find).

Michelle N.

Yelp
Amazing gluten free tacos!! Service was also so friendly! Went here on our recent trip and already can't wait to go back! Definitely try the sauce on your tacos.
google avatar

Nasif H.

Yelp
Hit this place up right before Waimea Canyon since it's otw from south shore and it held us over until dinner! They only do tacos here and they do it well enough that you're not gonna miss the other stuff. I'm a taco traditionalist anyway, so I usually don't mess with the riff raff. The girl at the counter was very impressionable and gave us the heads up that their tacos are big af. We ordered 3 tacos between the 2 of us (Pollo cabron, spicy fish and spicy beef) and it was more than enough. It's a bit overwhelming, so maybe grab a fork and hella napkins. I love the straightforwardness of the whole place. Grab a seat, a couple tacos, a Jaritos, and get messy.
google avatar

Gene M.

Yelp
I wish I would have taken pictures of my food, but we were all hungry. Tiki was recommended to us by the tour guides at Lydgate Farms. Tiki did not disappoint. Apparently Tiki still uses an Imu for cooking their piggies. We had piggie and fish tacos and our baskets were cleaned out. The taco are a decent size, so I decided to get one. I could have eaten two because they were delicious, but one was enough. The only complain we all had was that our soft taco shells were not very durable because they all BROKE about 1/3 of they way through eating. Bummer. I had to eat my fish taco with a fork.
google avatar

Ryjil C.

Yelp
With a stellar locals recommendation we can only imagine there was a problem in staffing or something. Tortillas were the worst we've ever had. Kind of like a bad pita bread...that fell apart the instant we picked up the taco to eat it. Fish tacos were very overcooked as well. Probably should have complained but we were in a rush and it got busy. Would have given a zero rating but doesn't seem to be an option. $50 (4 tacos) of extreme disappointment. A great taco starts with a great tortilla. If you €¥£% up the canvas, you can't make a work of art ... or anything really It's like going to a sushi restaurant and the rice is bad
google avatar

Lola B.

Yelp
I can't believe I have never tried this place!! So happy I finally did because I will be going back whenever I am on Kauai! The tacos are huge!! And so delicious!! The hot sauces they have are tasty but very spicy (at least for me)
google avatar

Mitchell M.

Yelp
Food was really good. Made with love and care. You can tell. The staff was insanely friendly. Definitely made us feel welcomed. Great flavors. Love the home made corn tortillas. I'll be back.
google avatar

Kimberly B.

Yelp
Stopped in because the reviews say these are some of the best tacos you can find on the island! No doubt. Free lot parking. When I was there it wasn't busy, but even if it was it is easy to tell the staff has this menu and food to you fast down stat. The fact that they focused the menu on what they cook best with different variations makes it no wonder they rise to top with quality memorable tacos. The place is a typical stop in order, chill, grab your food to go or sit at one of the tables because you can't wait to eat it. Brava. You will need extra napkins.
google avatar

Amy W.

Yelp
Our first stop after checking into our condo was at Tiki Tacos. My husband and I split the Roasted Pork Taco, Asada Steak Taco, and The Best Fish Taco. There is a little searing inside, but most of the seating is outside. The staff is friendly and had good recommendations for us. The tacos were good but not very flavorful. Make sure you get plenty of napkins because they are messy. The roosters and chickens are there to pick up anything that drops. The atmosphere is a slightly run-down strip mall.
google avatar

Kaiti P.

Yelp
Pretty awesome taco place. Tacos are HUGE and handmade tortillas are outstanding. You definitely need the thicker tortilla for all the fillings. There is a lot. 1 person would be full from 1-2 tacos. Kalua pork was amazinggggg. Spicy Beef was amazing. Fish taco- not great. Sauces, delicious. FYI they only have tacos and a quesadilla. No sides but you don't need them. You place order and they shout it out. Plenty of seating inside and out.

Brooke M.

Yelp
Didn't think I best tacos I would have never had would be in Kauai? I got the clue pork taco, and it may have been the best taco I've ever ate. it was fresh and super large. Only need one. Toppings were fresh fresh service was pretty fast. And it was pretty busy in there and parking was a hassle it was pretty clean in there. They had a wide variety of sauces to put on your tacos but next time I'm in the area I would definitely be coming back for more.
google avatar

Jeanine T.

Yelp
Food is amazing. Definitely coming back. Don't miss the bathroom. It's an experience. Bring your phone to capture the moment.

Mike G.

Yelp
My first stop every time I make it back to Kauai. Amazing tacos amazing hospitality Can't ask for much more

Jim S.

Yelp
These tacos are excellent. We first came here a couple years ago when our kids were with us. My son has celiacs and we had found tikis and were thrilled we did. We ate here twice that trip. My wife and I just came in yesterday and our first stop after a long travel day was Tikis. As mentioned the tacos are huge. We both had the spicy fish tacos (not at all spicy but amazing flavor). The food is great and the people that work here are super friendly. I'm guessing we'll be back again before we go home

Olivia K.

Yelp
Great customer service and even better food. We are from San Diego and found these tacos to be absolutely incredible. All of the tacos are made fresh and very reasonably priced. We especially loved the roasted chicken taco. Will come back here anytime we are on the island!
google avatar

Teddie H.

Yelp
This was the best taco place I think I've ever had!!! Tacos are a little pricey, about $10 a taco but they are honestly huge!! So so good we got the crispy carnitas, the best fish taco, a shrimp taco and a cheese quesadilla!! The tortillas are thick and homemade. The tortillas did not fall apart. Can't wait to come back.
google avatar

Dave C.

Yelp
Family owned and food is great.. everyone that works is helpful & friendly. We go to Kauai every year sometimes twice a year and Tiki Tacos is one of our favorite places to eat. One Taco is a complete meal for me.
google avatar

Jill M.

Yelp
Delicious isn't enough to describe what we ate! Amazing! Melt in your mouth...heavenly! Local places are the perfect stop on vacation!
google avatar

Stephanie M.

Yelp
Royal Hawaiian was amazing. "The Best Fish Taco" didn't have much taste. I'd definitely go back for the RH. The tortillas were excellent.
google avatar

Regina K.

Yelp
I was honestly not expecting to eat tacos in hawaii, but this spot really blew me away!! The tacos are on the pricier side, but each taco is super LOADED. If you're really hungry, 2 tacos will keep you satisfied. Highly recommend their al pastor tacos ($10.75). Lean pork loin marinated in a classic al pastor sauce (tangy, sweet) with onions and pineapple. Served with onions, cilantro, and salsa verde. The only con is that the tortilla falls apart when you pick it up because it's so loaded. But if you don't mind eating with a fork, it's totally worth it!
google avatar

Laurielle D.

Yelp
Taco filling was good. The fish was moist, however I'm not a fan of the handmade tortillas. They were flavorless and fell apart while eating.

Jordan C.

Yelp
This place was killer! Super high quality, and great value! Very much enjoyed the kahuna fish taco, and the kalua pork. Both were perfectly prepared, and very generous portions. The chorizo was a bit fatty for my wife's taste (different from your typical chorizo), but I enjoyed it . The vegetable quesadilla was one of the highlights of the trip for her! The corn tortillas are made fresh in-house, and gluten free. That would normally be a highlight for a taco place in itself if the fillings were already so great!
google avatar

Brittney G.

Yelp
Wow wow wow! Incredible! Even if I was not celiac and had to eat gluten free I would go here everytime! Talk about meaty, flavorful, loaded, delicious...should I go on? Kind staff, some of the best tacos I've had (and I'm from the Bay Area). So happy we stopped here first thing because we will be coming back for sure!
google avatar

Lori M.

Yelp
BEST TACOS EVER. My absolute favorite place to go on Kauai. We got multiple times every trip. I live on Oahu and will fly over to get these tacos. The dad who cooks is the BEST AND KINDEST. His food is the most delicious. And his son who works there is so kind. Tacos are huge, you only need one (although my husband can eat two) the Mayan Fish is my favorite. Cannot say enough good things about the father/son duo.
google avatar

Rachelle L.

Yelp
Tried Tiki Tacos for the first time yesterday. Wasn't sure at first since we were the only ones there when we arrived. Menu was packed with item names but the guy at the counter describes his favorites and we were sold! Jam packed large tacos. 2 filled me up and I was starving. Don't miss the Hawaiian Taco I chose chicken and can't wait to try the pulled pork. It has caramelized onions and pineapple. But it's done soo well with other ingredients the sweet doesn't overpower the taco. The spicy Fish (Ono) is not spicy at all. Packed with toppings and very good. I probably should have added hot sauce for an extra kick. These tacos need to be eaten quickly because the homemade tortilla is thick close to a dense thick Pancake, starts to fall apart because of the killer juicy delicious toppings. We must have just missed the rush because the place filled up right after we ordered. Local Hotspot! Glad we are right across the street to explore more from the menu. We ate outside with the roosters.
