Tiki's Bar and Grill

By FAR my favorite spot on Holland Road and the BEST Tiki spot in VB! Their cocktails are ALWAYS on point, but my favorite food is the Lumpia appetizer (or Musabi), Mahi Mahi burger (with Mac salad) or the Ahi Poke Bowl. But they have a couple new options on the menu now which are amazing. I’ve been going to Tiki’s for years and it’s always on point. Thank you Kelly and Mila for the 5-star service tonight and the recommendation of the Banana Bread Cheesecake to go! 🙌🏻

Definitely smaller than we anticipated, but the atmosphere was off the charts. Live music, beautiful decorations, extremely strong drinks, and friendly waitstaff. I believe we had Marissa, can't remember her name, but very pretty girl and I loved her personality. I'm pretty sure the only vegan option is the Beyond Burger, because I also ordered the island fried rice with no egg and it definitely tasted like there was butter in it. Regardless, I'd come back.

This place has sooo much potential. The selection of both food & cocktails are really good but was poorly executed on our visit. The food was tasty but looked like it died on the expo before it was served to us so it didn't look as appetizing. The ambiance was spot on, really island feels - the vibes could've been a little bit more lively though since it was a Saturday night but it felt like a Monday service. It might have just been an off night for the restaurant but everyone was very lovely otherwise.

Tiki’s is, hands-down, my favorite spot — but shhh… don’t tell everyone bc I want at least one chair to be available when I walk in! Great food (the musubi and the garlic shrimp are my fave happy hour snack), the bartenders are excellent craft cocktail-makers as well as attentive and charming, and the aesthetics and music are so cool that you won’t mind even going alone. There’s even a new rotating seasonal cocktail menu, and I adore the creativity and passion that goes into it. BTW — the drinks are delicious and, bear in mind, strong. You are really getting your money’s worth compared to the norm. At least one of the drinks comes with special effects! On top of happy hour, there are specials all night most weekdays. I think it’s Mai Tai & Musubi Monday, Taco (& Modelo) Tuesday, Burger Night Wednesday, and there’s live steel drum or reggae on Thursday. Oh! And your reward for reading this far is that there’s a secret drink menu. My fave is the Mating Dance. If there’s a newer bartender, they may not know yet, but if you see Kelly or Marissa, they have some awesome personal creations!

Love the atmosphere here! The food was great and the whole experience here has been awesome every time we've gone. First time in we got the Poo-Poo Platter which had a little bit of everything, Highly suggest the Huli-Chicken, definitely a crowd pleaser. The One Eyed jack burger I had my first visit was also phenomenal. The drinks are the real stars tho, they have a bunch of classic Tiki themed drinks. I've been working my way through the drinks menu for a month or so now and would definitely suggest the Hurricane.

This is the right place for real tiki and tropical cocktails! Great food, amazing service and perfect cocktails in Polynesian pop fashion . Behold, some concoctions are stronger than average. (I saw other reviews seeing this as inappropriate , while I disagree, I understand for the casual barfly they could label the cocktail menu with labels like "strong", "medium" or "low abv" . Very recommended, I'll be back for sure with some pirates, I mean friends.

When we first walked in, we were surprised by how small the restaurant was, but it had a fun and laid-back island vibe. I was really hungry, so even with a 30-minute wait, we decided to hang around and I’m glad we did, at least for part of the experience. We ordered the Pupu Platter, and it was AMAZING, the perfect mix and definitely the highlight of our visit. I also ordered the Huli Huli Chicken Plate and asked for a side of Island Fried Rice with Chicken. However, when the rice came out, it was a full-size entrée, not a side. I didn’t think much of it until we tried it and unfortunately, it was inedible. The seasoning was so overpowering that my husband and I each took one bite and had to stop. It was honestly disappointing because I had really been looking forward to trying it. To make matters worse, we were charged $17 for the full portion of rice, something we didn’t order and couldn’t even eat. I also tried the macaroni salad, which tasted like plain noodles with no flavor at all. That said, the Pupu Platter is a must-try, and all the drinks coming out of the bar looked fantastic. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere was fun, but the food was hit or miss. I’d come back for drinks and appetizers, but definitely not for the rice or macaroni salad

I came early, like 3:45 4:00 before any rush of people on a Saturday might show up. There were only two tables filled and two people at the bar. It was much much smaller that I had anticipated but that didn't matter. The atmosphere, ambience is really cute and quaint with Island music playing and birds chirping. Very tropical, islandy vibe with bamboo covering the windows, hanging plants & coconuts. Very dimmly lit which I loved but so dim that I had to shine my flashlight on my phone at the menu to see it along with my reading glasses! Lol I am 63 so maybe somebody younger would have no problem. But, that didn't matter to me because it's was such a cute, cute place! This could be a very romantic place to have dinner for a couple! I ordered the yellowfin tuna steak on a bed of Jasmine coconut rice pineapple and coconut slaw and cilantro lime crema on the side. i also tried the Blue Hawaiian cocktail. I didn't care that the rice was completely flattened instead of looking fluffy and delicious. I thought that presentation wasn't right. The coconut pineapple slaw was absolutely delicious and the crema for the tuna steak would have been delicious if it wasn't so terribly salty. I also did not taste any cilantro or lime. My tuna steak was a very generous portion and done to perfection (Rare) however, the very first bite I took was like eating a raw fish right out of the ocean! Unbelievably fishy tasting! I was starving so I ate 3/4 of it but mostly while holding my breath so I couldn't taste it. It was awful, absolutely awful! I did not care for my cocktail either as beautiful as it was. I don't know why because it was Puerto Rican rum, pineapple, coconut & blue curacao. Maybe I don't like Puerto Rican rum, I don't know but it had a taste in there that was just awful for me. But that's on me. I also held my breath while finishing that $13 drink that I wasn't going to waste. On me again. While I was there I smelled cigarette smoke! Being a non-smoker who feels like they're suffocating when they smell cigarette smoke that was not good. It was brief maybe 5 minutes worth tops, but it was a big turn off. Don't know why or who but thankfully it didn't last long. I told the waitress (Megan) who was exceptionally nice that my steak was fishy and she said she would tell the cook. She came back and said It was probably just the cut of the tuna steak and it was fresh, She just took it out not long ago & she'll comp me 25%! While appreciative and after nearly eating all of it, Megan also offered to get me a different entree. But I was already full. Maybe I should have said something sooner but by the time she came back to ask me how my food was, I was nearly finished. I feel my meal should have been free because it was truly not edible & had I not been so hungry I would have never eaten it. It wasn't her fault though that the steak was fishy but when you're paying $18 for a tuna steak meal it should not be fishy, so I got $7 off my check which totaled $26 after the $7 was taken off. Would I recommend it? Yes, I would & I'd try it again and just not eat the tuna steak! lol It is cute, it's close by, so it's convenient and I like the decor & they have other entrees I'd love to try. They do have a kids menu with the usual chicken tenders, grilled cheese & some regular menu dishes as well. The menu pretty much is self-explanatory with the name The Tiki Bar & Grill. It's food dishes are a Hawaiian type Polynesian style of cooking. They also do have burgers & the drinks range from $12 & up depending on the size. The other thing I did not care for was my table was completely sticky. So bad that the menu was sticking to it! This tells me that the lacquer over the top was old and needed to be re-done or just replaced. It's bad when you put your forearms down on a table and they stick to it like glue. There is a bar at one side of it, decent size too. It's a cute little place & I will give it another try at some point. P.S. It's the lighting in the pictures that make my tuna steak look that color. There is no sauce over it.

One night we decided we want a quick take out. My wife went for her comfort food, Loco Moco. Which pretty much the same at all restaurants in the local area. On the other hand I like to try something new or different. I got the Spicy Sisig (I know others server this) and this was a new entrée for me. The pork belly was cooked absolutely fantastic, but prep yourself for chili vinegar!!! . In my opinion they have best homemade Kimchi!!! Definitely give this place a try when you want that taste of Hawaii!

Actual rating: 4.5 stars The only reason my real rating is a half a star off is that the drinks are a little stronger than most tiki bars. Nevertheless, they were all delicious. The four of us ordered: Tiki Island, Blue Hawaiian, Dark and Stormy, Mai Tai, Navy Grog, and 151 Swizzle. If you're looking for something a little more on the sweet side, none of these were that exactly. They were all pretty terrific. Food: Loco Moco, Island Salad w/chicken, Katsu Chicken Sandwich, and Bang Bang Tacos (wed special). All were really good. I'm not sure I understand a lot of the middling food reviews here. Maybe we ordered the correct things? Or maybe we had a drink first? :-) Service was also nice. Definitely recommend.

Went here around 4:30 on a Friday to finally try out their happy hour. This was my third attempt after trying to go before and it was a packed house with a 1 hour wait. Luckily, there was no wait this time and there were some tables open when we arrived. It's actually kind of small on the inside so I def see how the place fills up often. We started with the Spam Musubi (6/10) big chunk of rice and a small sliver of spam, wasn't a fan of that. The Skewered Chicken (9/10) was fresh and hot and a decent amount to share. For our first round of drinks we had the Swizzle (10/10) strong and yummy and the Blue Hawaiian (8.5/10) it was sweet and tasty, not too strong. We also tried the Blackened Mahi Mahi Tacos (4/10) they were dry and even after I asked for extra sauce, I still wasn't satisfied. Either the fish, the slaw, or the sauce had a weird tangy after taste! On the side I had some Macaroni Salad (10/10) that was yummy for sure! Second round of drinks we had another Swizzle and a Tiki Island (9/10). Overall, I loved the vibe and atmosphere of the place. It's great for date night, but I wouldn't come back for the food. I was def left disappointed. I would; however, totally come back for drinks. I saw they have live band nights, I'd love to come back and see how that is. My overall rate of experience : 8/10

Loved this place! The second you walk in, it feels like vacation. The drinks are strong, the vibes are even stronger, and the staff is super friendly. Perfect spot to escape for a couple hours and pretend you're on an island. Highly recommend the tiki cocktails! We love bringing out of town guests here!

Somewhere along the congested, hot, sweaty mess of Holland Road lies an unassuming strip mall that holds little promise upon first glance. Look closely, though, and you'll see a sign for Tiki's Bar and Grill. Pull on over get out of traffic for awhile, and visit the islands.... the Hawaiian islands that is. When you step inside you'll swear you've hit a classic tiki bar of yesteryear, somewhere off of Waikiki Beach. It's dark by intention- the darkness just showcases the fun neon lights that just add to the vibe. First of all, understand these ARE five star drinks. This is five star ambience. The food and service sit at a respectable four star positions. You're not coming here for the food though, you're coming here to be swept away to a time and place far far away, with tropical music, tropical drinks, and tropical dreams.

A true hidden gem! The outside seems oddly placed, but the decor and vibes are spot on. Truly felt like I was in the Bahamas. We came during happy hour (M-F, 4-6) and barely got a spot! The apps were priced nicely with huge portions. The chicken skewers had a nice spicy kick! Then, we ordered a side of kimchi & Hawaiian BBQ plate. BIG PORTIONS. Plus, we got a Blue Hawaiian! Honestly, everything was spectacular. My family and I will be back to try more foods! P.S. they have leis all over to borrow for pictures! So thoughtful.

Hidden in a nondescript strip mall, are windows covered with bamboo mats, beyond which is a portal to a paradise straight out of the South Pacific. Upon entering you are greeted by the sounds of tropical birds, then a beautiful space lit with various tropical lanterns. Sounds of music choices straight from Hawaii floated over the dining room. Drink menu, expansive, with most tropical tiki drinks you'd expect. Syrups all made in house. Several drinks come on fire! I had the zombie, well balanced but strong at the end. Excellent. We had the Hawaiian BBQ plate with huli huli chicken. Chicken tender, moist, well seasoned. Mac salad - perfect amount of mayo. Also had the yellowfin tuna with the island rice. Tuna perfectly cooked to medium. Island rice tasty. Dessert we got Dole whip. Mine with rum (it was a lot of rum, still tasty). Service was excellent. Attentive, funny, fast and helpful! Hands down the best tiki bar in the area. Looking forward to our next trip to the area, so we hana hou.

Tikis takes you on a tropical adventure and makes you feel like you're in a dive bar in paradise. I had been meaning to stop in and check tikis after a friend had referred me. Upon entering you are immediately stunned by the level of detail that has been put into making the restaurant look unique! Do not judge this establishment by their outside! We sat at the bar and tried their Mai Thai special, the bartender was friendly and explained the menu and offered cocktail options. Tikis only uses premium liquor and each cocktail is truly hand crafted! We didn't try the food but everything looked tasty. You can tell that they take a lot of pride in their business! This is my new favorite cocktail bar in VB! I'll be wearing a Hawaiian shirt and trying their flaming scorpion bowl next!

The place looked very different than other places. The drinks definitely had the best bang for the buck for alcohol. The food was amazing and came out very fast.

6 of us walked in and the place was packed. Now this s a good sign. We went to another place next door for dinner. After dinner we decided to see if there was any room here for dessert and drinks. How very pleased we were to get in and enjoy a drink and dessert with a fantastic server.We will goback

If you want to be taken back to the Island and want that small Tiki Hut feel. This the place! It's not that big of a restaurant so it does get booked right away, so I suggest coming a little early. My focus was having the dessert the Table Top Smores experience! Most coffee/dessert shops closes early, but Tiki's you can order dessert anytime until closing at 11pm. Mind you they do have other main dishes, but I just wanted this experience. I's a great experience if you want to impress someone. The presentation of the dessert is so cool. It had the little table top coal flame and the fixings around it. You're actually able to toast your marshmallow. It was so delicious and a great fun. Too bad they didn't serve milk with it, but they do have other array if drinks to chose from. Did I mention they also have live bands that come play and small dance floor if you just want to get up and dance the night away! If you want that intimate Island Vibe this is a local gem! You've definitely got to try it!

The highlights of this place was that the ambiance gave a speakeasy tiki kind of feel. And the drinks (we ordered a Mai Tai), were strong. However the service was so so and the food was mostly a miss instead of a hit. I will say the spam masubi was good but for $10 it was basically only two small masubi's cut in half, at least they were good. As for the Hawaiian BBQ plate, everything about it was a miss. Both BBQ meats were ehh, the rice was dry and the Mac salad literally had no seasoning. Mind you the only thing missing from my picture that we also ordered was the island fried rice and a sprite... and our total came out to $68. Not worth it at all. I could be convinced to come here again for drinks and appetizers with friends. But I would never again come to this place on an empty stomach for lunch or dinner.

My friend and I went on a Tuesday evening for happy hour. The inside is decorated very cool. It has a Hawaiian theme. It wasn't packed and we were seated immediately. For drinks we both got The Headhunter. It wasn't in Happy Hour and also got a vodka pineapple. The Headhunter was ok, I don't think I would order it again. Loved the presentation though. For food, I got the coconut rice and shrimp. My friend got the lumpia. We both enjoyed it. I found out later it was Taco Tuesday. Our waitress didn't even mention it. I may try it next time. Overall the food was good, I will probably be back to try more things.

I was excited to find this Tiki spot and based on the reviews I was expecting a good experience. Unfortunately, it was underwhelming. When we walked in my daughter (4 years) was mesmerized by the ambiance. Literally her jaw dropped as we walked in. It is a very cute restaurant. We were greeted by a friendly waitress who took our order after we sat down. The food came out very fast. However, we almost finished our appetizers before we got our drinks from the bar. After the first sip, my mom and I both said they were rather warm. All the food was ok but nothing special. I will add the sauce for the coconut shrimp was appalling, ask for the sweet chili sauce, it's much better. Wanting to order more food or whenever we needed the waitress we had to flag her down. She never came by to check on us. Water cups sat empty, food sat untouched waiting for sauces, drinks were warm, slow service... meh, I doubt we'll go back. I will also add what attracted us to try here tonight, besides the general rating, was that they had a happy hour. All the food we got (except for the kids meal) was off the happy hour menu. But the happy hour drink specials are a joke. It's just on well drinks and beer. Going to a tiki bar you would expect some tiki drink to be included but none are. So

These drinks are the best in town hands down. The bartender was nice also. I particularly love the decor. This is my second visit and I haven't tried the food. I'll have to try next time. The quality and beauty of this bar is unexpected because of its location, in a strip mall. Truly a hidden gem.

Ooooh I was transported right back to Hawaii! My niece and I were so excited to try this place (we found it on Yelp's "surprise me" feature)! When we walked in, the vibe was vibing. The decor is so beautiful. We sat in a booth at the back of the store. I would definitely sit at the bar here if I lived here. We started with the kalua pork poutine. I say poutine because that's what it is kinda...but not what it's called on their menu. It's called Kalua pork gravy fries. It was AMAZING! We wanted to save some of it (so we had room for our meals), but we ended up eating the entire thing. My niece got the Fish Tacos & loved them. I got the BBQ Plate which was soooo good. It was such a hard decision though. I'm coming back for the Spam Musubi for sure! Along with many other things. Highly highly recommend this place!

This place gets a bonus star so it's a 6 star rating My husband and I loved this place! We got the Pu-Pu Plater, Mahi tacos, and s'mores :) I was so immersed in the vibe of the restaurant, and the food was outstanding! Service was quick and kind, with no hovering (which we love) Best place I've eaten at in Virginia, and the s'mores were to die for I can't wait to come back already

Late night spot for drinks and food? Look no futher. This spot is on the edge of Virginia Beach and is a fun and low key location for fun and drinks. Definitely a Beach vibe and the drinks are delicious. 5 star service as well. Dining area and a bar.

This place was awesome! Definitely the highlight of our trip. It is small but cozy. Ambiance and service were excellent. Great playlist. We had a truly unforgettable meal! The Hawaiian BBQ plate and Spicy Sisig were especially delicious. I also highly recommend the Tiki's Headhunter cocktail. Will definitely return if ever in the area again.

Epic fail! Ordered a Beyond Burger to go--they make a Pineapple Burger here, so I opted for that burger to be made with Beyond Burger instead. The woman on the phone asked me which side I wanted (I didn't realize the sides were extra--and that's my fault). My pineapple burger and garlic rice was a whopping $22. Yikes! I have ordered this same meal plenty of times before, and maybe I don't recall it costing $22, that just seems STEEP for a burger and rice, but hey, I asked for it and I paid... I get halfway down the street, check my order and this $22 Pineapple burger did not even have the key ingredient--a PINEAPPLE! For $22, I want what I want. I guess it wasn't in the cards for me to eat that $22 meal today. I returned the pineapple-less burger and got my money back. Two doors down is Sloppy Seconds--they have vegan burger options for $15 AND that includes a side. This seems like an easy choice.

I stopped by with some coworkers after an event. They had a great large booth we were all able to fit at. It's definitely dark in here & they have bird sounds playing. They were out of a few things including the frozen banana drink myself & one of my other colleagues wanted to try. I did a build your own burger with the chicken sandwich & couldn't believe how flavorless the chicken was. It was like they didn't put any seasoning on at all. & The macaroni salad was ok.

Amazing food and amazing drinks! Love the atmosphere and service was great too! Will definitely be going back for happy hour and to try more of the seasonal drinks!

Place was horrible on a Friday. Went a couple months back enjoyed it. Thought it was a great idea to come back but I couldn't get a drink the waiter yelled at us and she said she had 8 tables already! We understand that but sad thing was we were the biggest table in the restaurant nor my other party never got their appetizers ordered before we came. Had to walk down to azteca and they came in clutch.

What a true gem in the middle of a strip mall in VA Beach! Once you walk in you immediately feel like you have left VA behind and are in a bar in a tropical locale!! Came here after seeing good reviews and was in the area and everything from the ambiance to the service and the food was was excellent! For food/drinks: Appetizers: We were there during happy hour and it is quite a steal on their food deals! Lumpia-nice and hot and tasty filling Crab balls-yummy Coconut shrimp-good with great dipping sauce Huli Chicken skewers-not my favorite the sauce was not the best in my opinion and the chicken was a little tough but my husband really loved it. Dinner: We were there on Taco Tuesday so they have tacos for $4 so I tried a fried shrimp, fried fish and grilled fish. They were stuffed full of fish/shrimp and were very good! Would order these again! Also had the sampler with the pork and chicken with rice, kimchi, and macaroni salad. The meats were great especially the pork and the Mac salad! Reminded me of a Hawaiian plate! Great mai tai drink and our server was nice enough to put my non-alcoholic drink (sprite, grenadine. Pineapple juice) in a fun tiki cup with tropical garnishes! Speaking of our waiter he was awesome! Super attentive in a good way! The only downside is that the restaurant is small so it might be hard to get a table! People seem to come early for the happy hour deals. Come to this restaurant for a night away in Hawaii right in VA Beach!

We have been here twice now and we absolutely will return. I am a big tiki cocktail fan and these are delicious. Sit at the bar and watch the effort that goes into each of these complex concoctions. The mai tai is the real deal not some mix crap. Puka punch knocks your socks off and the humuhumnukunukuapua'a is a great gin-based alternative to rum drinks. The garnish work is so good you have to have a good time. I would have previously knocked this place for its food. But now that has improved considerably. The hawaiian bbq plate was excellent and went with the drinks. The kimchi complimented the fruit juices and rum beautifully. Not all the dishes are perfect but I will definitely keep trying things. Be warned: the word is out. On a Friday at six a bunch of regulars were already planted at the bar and only a couple tables were left. And people linger here to talk for a long time, so go early. These drinks are work to make so be patient. You are on island time anyway so enjoy the vibe and admire what is being done here.

The place was in a nice little spot tucked away in a random shopping center. You'd have to actively look for this place in order to stop in, but it was alright. It's got that island vibe going, which is obvious from the name, but just writing doesn't really do it justice. The inside is like a whole tiki bar with great details in the drink choices and the decor. They had certain specials depending on the day and some rotating drink specials as well.

I accidentally found Tiki's Bar and Grill, and it was a very pleasant accident. Word on the street is that it's the only real Tiki bar in Virginia Beach. It just so happen that I visited on Wednesday, which is 'build your own burger' night. It was hard to decide between going with Hawaiian-style food or a burger. For this visit, I went with a burger (I was not feeling too adventurous), and it was an awesome choice. Actually, I hope to return soon to try some of the Hawaiian food - especially Tiki's Bar and Grill's take on Moco Loco. Our bartender/server was pretty friendly, and the service was pretty fast. Also, the bartender was pretty cool because he allowed me to make a few *simple* modifications to my cocktails. The ambiance of the restaurant makes you feel like you are in an outdoor tiki bar supplemented with the sounds of nature. Similar to most tiki bars, the vibe was pretty chill and relaxed.

This is my new go to place in Sunday's. With there $1 mimosa and Bloody Mary. I normally order the coconut shrimp however I have tried other dishes like their skewered Huli-Huli chicken. They're exotic drunks are also pretty amazing. The servers are super friendly in their Hawaiian shirts. The place is deemed and plenty of leí. Location is in a place next to a tropical smoothie with plenty of parking.

Sat down for 25 minutes without being served at all. They said they were busy with 8 people in the restaurant and 3 bartenders. Served other people before us and didn't care at all when we brought it up. Missed happy hour window and they didn't honor it. Terrible service.

I met a friend here for happy hour on a Friday afternoon. It wasn't very crowded considering we got there right in the middle of happy hour. It's a small bar/restaurant in a strip mall right off Holland. We opted to for the Spam musubi and a couple of their signature drinks. It was pretty dark inside and I actually thought it would be strange to bring kids here just because I didn't get 'family friendly' vibes (strictly based on appearance). Staff was great - very friendly and attentive. The food was good - nothing special & the drinks were all fruity like what you would expect a place called 'Tiki's' to serve. Happy hour prices were a steal considering they didn't skimp on the alcohol;) I'd visit again for happy hour!

The server was nice, but the service was slow. We had to flag her down to get drinks. The food came out one plate at a time--first the fried foods, then the tacos, and then the chicken. It took over an hour to get all the food. We came right at 4:00 so it was not busy. The seafood tacos were awful. The seafood was not fresh, and I sent it back. I said I didn't want the coconut slaw as I don't like it. The taco came out with 4 shrimp, and the other one had 3 fish bites. I have been here 3 times and it is always the same. I was looking forward to a good meal!

Coconut shrimp and pork lumpia were great! Grilled shrimp tacos were the favorite entree, Blue Hawaiin was great for a frozen drink option. The pina colada did not taste how I thought it would, not very sweet and no coconut flavor, blue Hawaiin was definitely better. All of the drinks were decorated so cute and the atmosphere of the whole place was really cool, very fun spot to check out!

Went to dinner with a large group. Served everyone else but me. I had to call her over to ask where my food was. She didn't even notice that I had no food. When they finally brought my food it was the wrong thing and I had to wait even longer. No apology nothing. WOULD NOT GO BACK with a group. Poor service.

Tiki's Bar and Grill is a island-themed grill with a bar serving many cool and unique beverages. Coconut shrimp is one of my favorite foods, and upon seeing it on the menu here, my sister and I had to go !! We got to try a little bit of everything as the shrimp was just an appetizer! Overall, super impressed with their food, atmosphere, and service! Upon walking into the restaurant, we were dazzled by the cool island decorations and music. It felt like stepping into a tropical paradise. There were even sounds of birds chirping. On Thursday and Saturday, they even have live Reggae and steel drums, which definitely would add to the tropical atmosphere and even more!! We went on a Friday, though, and were still blown away. We also saw flaming drinks being carried from the bar to people's tables. That's something I really want to try next time! Anyway! We were told to seat ourselves wherever comfortable. The server quickly brought us waters and our menus. Throughout our visit, she was quick, friendly, and made sure our orders were accurate. For appetizers, I of course did the coconut shrimp, and my sister got the buffalo wings with ranch. These were brought out to us in a timely manner. Everything was fresh and delicious. I loved my crispy coconut shrimp and sweet piña colada sauce. It was fresh and tasty. My sister's buffalo wings were cooked perfectly and she enjoyed every bite. For entrées, we both picked a burger. They have Beyond burgers here, yay!! So I went with a Pineapple Burger with a Beyond patty. My sister got the One-Eyed Jack Burger. We were really happy with the burgers as well. The pandesal roll is a really nice touch. It was sweet and really yummy. Our burgers were cooked perfectly, and the egg on my sister's was nicely done as well. Both of our burgers were served with crispy fries, which were great too. I also opted to try their macaroni salad. This is the first macaroni salad that I have ordered from a restaurant and actually enjoyed!! It was delicious and not too sweet like other macaroni salads. Tiki's Bar and Grill really hit the spot for us! It really exceeded my expectations. I hope to come back soon and try their awesome Tiki cocktails when I'm not the one driving! Lol!

This is a small place but a very home feel atmosphere. Drinks are very good and food is good as well. They have a good mixture of different foods from different tropical islands. Not sure if there is someone playing everyday but it gave such an island experience with someone playing. Good did take a little long to prepare but otherwise very nice place to grab some food and different variety of drinks.

My friend and I stumbled into Tiki's Bar and Grill (TBG) looking for some late night eats! My friend is Filipino and she said that the food was pretty good at TBG, so off we went! Goodness, ever since we all started going back to our normal lives of getting out and about, some restaurants have kept their reduced hours so it's been so difficult to find places to eat that close late, but thankfully not TBG! Thank you TBG, for hanging on! My belly thanks you! When we arrived, it's one of those don't-judge-a-book-by-it's-cover-type places. The windows are covered, so you can't see inside and all you see is a "Open" neon sign above the door. Well, I guess that's all I needed to know! As soon as we opened the door, we were transported into (yes, you guessed it) a tiki bar. It's so fun in there! There was only one couple when we arrived, so we basically had the place to ourselves. There were 2 staff members working, one for the bar and one for the dining room, both good vibes. Our waitress greeted us right away and gave us a menu. Super chill vibe, just like in Hawaii! Since it was late, we decided not to pig out too much, although I was rather starving, but I refrained. We decided on two dishes. Pupu Platter - This platter is quite the show-y dish. It comes equipped with a mini fire pit/grill thing. It comes out flaming. The waitress said it was meant to keep the food warm and if you wanted to "warm up" any of the items, we could use it for that. It's fun to look at and I guess it would come in handy as a hand warmer in the cold months haha. The platter includes: crab cake balls, wings, chicken skewers, lumpia and coconut shrimp. Served with a tray of four sauces. It's a decent portion and I ended up taking a portion of it home. I loved the crab cake balls and lumpia! Oh the lumpia! We got the pork kind. It was just so nicely wrapped, crispy and so tasty! Sisig - This was my first time eating sisig. My friend pointed out that their rendition of the sisig at TBG is with pork belly, but it's traditionally made with pig ears and cheek meat. I bet it would be tasty with cheek meat, but not sure how I feel about pig ears. I would have tried it if that was the case, but to be honest, I'm glad it wasn't that night. I don't particularly feel adventurous late at night when I'm just super hungry. This is a warning to all the folk that are not used to eating animal fat though. The pork belly is cut into big chunks and you will get the occasional piece that is purely fat. I think it's tasty, but you might not. The sisig is served with rice and an egg over easy (kinda like bibimbap, but not really haha), but we opted for garlic rice. I loved this dish! We broke up the runny yolk and just mixed the sisig, rice and egg! It had this buttery, yet not overly garlicky flavor (I LOVE garlic, so I wouldn't have minded if it had more). The service was amazing. The waitress seemed like a super chill, genuine person! I guess the word is out that they stay open late. I felt bad for the duo because 15 minutes before closing, a couple walked in looking for some drinky dranks and we were on our way out. They didn't huff and puff and kept on keeping on. The couple ordered one of their show-y drinks too. Overall, 5 stars all around for the ambiance (it's sooo cute in there), the TLC and the bites! Will definitely be back, late night or not!

This was our second time to Tiki's Bar and Grill and we loved it both times. Our service great, food was good and fun, nicely plated. I ordered two coconut shrimp and a Pu-Pu platter for our appetizers. That in of itself could have been enough for two as a dinner. But we had five of us, so we all ordered entrees as well. Being one who has built sets for theatre, I was very impressed by how well the restaurant was decorated. Great atmosphere, and music (also not too loud)

This place is super cute! Everyone was very nice and the vibe was definitely there, we came earlier in the day so it wasn't super packed, but as we were leaving it was starting to pick up! Drinks were super delicious as the food was yummy too, it's a cute tiki bar!!

Noime and Alanna were the absolute best. I am so sorry we stayed past our welcome!! Thank you so much, the drinks were delicious and the food is AWESOME, as always! I promise we won't stay so long next time!!

Decided to try Tiki's out and we loved it! Service was great! The food was good we went during happy hour and tried lumpia, coconut shrimp and chicken skewers. The price we paid was great for what you get! The ambiance was the best!!!!! I couldn't get over how cute this place was. Will be going again!

Tiki's...Man oh man Go spend good money with great vibes. If your in Virginia Beach Bruv you have to try the food and the drinks for starters I started out with the "Humuhumunukunukuapua'a" and then second "Tiki's Headhunter" and man were these drinks refreshing! Food: Loco Moco & The chicken Katsu!! The food please don't get me started authentic Hawaiian food!!! Please drive in and stop by this spot and test your tastebuds and I guarantee that you cannot go wrong with my choices! The service was 100% great and right on time you will not be left behind here! Check it out now!

The ambiance was nice. There was live music (after 8pm?). The service was ok, our glasses were empty most of the night. Had to ask for more water. All of us used to live in Hawaii so we were kind of excited for the food. However, we were disappointed on that front. The only dish we liked was the Spam Musubi.

We decided to try Tiki's Bar and Grill at 4312 Holland Road in the heart of Virginia Beach. I have been craving a Mai Tai and all indications led me to believe that this was the place to get a good one along with authentic Hawaiian cuisine. It was slow when we arrived at about 5:45 but it started filling up quickly soon after. I ordered the Mai Tai and my wife had a Hawaiian Lager beer. My Mai Tai did not taste the way that I expected. It seemed to be missing the key ingredient of Orgeat syrup. This gives the drink its characteristically, almond flavor. I told our server that this didn't taste right and I ordered a Vodka Tonic as a replacement. Our server apologized and later told me that he messed up and asked us to please give them another chance because they make really good Mai Tai's. For an appetizer, we shared the Pork Lumpia for $8. These were deep fried to a beautiful golden brown color and they were absolutely delicious with the sweet chili dipping sauce. For Dinner my Wife had the Spicy Sisig for $15. This is Triple cooked pork belly, Serrano chilies, rice, Fried egg and a side of Chili vinegar. The flavors all worked well with one another to make for a very tasty dish. I had the BBQ Plate for $14. This consists of Kalua Pork (Hawaiian Style Barbecue), BBQ Chicken, Steamed Rice, Kimchi Slaw and House made Mac Salad. The chicken was dark meat, possibly thighs and it was overcooked. It had a barbecue sauce slathered on top but that didn't cover for the over cooked, dry, meat. The Kalua Pork was not what I expected. It too, was slathered with barbecue sauce but that did not hide the fact that this was not Kalua Pork. Kalua Pork is supposed to have cabbage cooked in with it and barbecue sauce is not a part of this dish. It takes a long time to properly make Kalua Pork and when done correctly, it is quite delicious. This was nothing but roasted pork with barbecue sauce on top. The Mac Salad was good and I enjoyed every bite. I've never been a fan of Kimchi but I tried this and it was not bad. Our server told me that they just re-opened and they were having problems getting up to full speed and asked us to please give them another chance in the future. While this was not a great experience (admittedly I went in with high expectations), the server was outstanding and for that reason, I will come back.

Came here for the unique drinks, stayed for the food! No seriously, they have some fun drinks that are instagram worthy, and the food is just as good! Don't let the location fool you, walking in here feels like you're walking into a tiki hut on an island, it's very well done.

It was almost 10pm and we were looking for restaurants open late night. So Tiki's Bar and Grill popped up on Yelp. We looked over the reviews which seemed good and the menu. So i called our orders in, and i was told about 15 minutes. When we arrived there was a decent amount of parking, so we walked into the small restaurant to pick up the food. It was weird because we didn't know where to stand. So the only space was by the kitchen doors and it caused us to be in the way because the doors swung open when they brought out food. It was a dimly lit place with cool vibes. The staff was very nice and upbeat. The girl who took our order was polite!! We ordered the Hawaiian Bbq plate with Kailua Pork, huli huli chicken, mac salad, kimchi, and a side of fries. I also got a piece of key lime cheesecake. My sister got a Hawaiian salad with coconut shrimp on the side. My total was $32 and hers was $25. I got to the car and wanted to dig into my fries but it was such a small portion, which was $4 for like literally 12 fries. Whoa!! They were delicious though while they were hot... So when i got home we dug in. We grew up on the Island of Oahu so i had an expectation that the food would be similar, but it really wasn't!! The Kailua pork was some sort of pulled pork with bbq sauce... (Nothing similar to what they serve in Hawaii) It tasted ok because of the bbq sauce, but the meat was flavorless. The huli huli chicken had a good flavor but the katsu sauce was salty. The mac salad and kimchi were bland. No flavor whatsoever!! I did like the sticky rice. I enjoyed the keylime cheesecake but it left a weird taste and feeling on my tongue afterwards. Very tangy!! It was $8 so i expected a bigger piece. My sister salad had pineapple, onions, tomato, and cucumber. It sincerely looked like something she could've made in a snap at home. The dressing was good but pretty watered down. The coconut shrimp were frozen shrimp that tasted weird. The sauce was a weird pina colada flavored mystery!! Not good... I expected more from them but it was just ok. I may return to try the chicken katsu but I'm in no rush. If you want a late night drink this may be the place, but this isn't authentic Hawaiian food. 2 stars because of the nice staff and the fries!!
