Tikua - SouthEast Mexican cuisine

Multiple interesting southeast Mexican dishes were beautifully presented. Service was professional. Now one of my favorite restaurants in all of Mexico. We were about two blocks from the restaurant when a server ran up to us with our forgotten doggie bag. Totally unexpected but indicative of the restaurant’s attitude toward customers.

The mole tasting was full of flavor. This is a great place for foreigners to try Mexican ingredients they have never dreamt of, but it is heavy on the stomach so go easy on the dishes. The desserts were all really strange, I wouldn’t say they were good, but it is an experience.

Great Everything! Atmosphere, service, food, drinks and price are all perfect. The potion size of each meal was plenty, especially the deserts. Make sure to share your desert. 2 to 3 people can easily share one desert.

Beautiful restaurant and fantastic food. It was one of the highlights of my stay. I cannot recommend more. I was hugely fascinated by the inventiveness of the menu.

It's a grilled tuna on raw salad dressed with balsamic vinegar, and they dress it in front of you. Food looks healthy to eat, but it's probably my fault to ask for well-done tuna, which made it a bit harder to chew.

As I write this i sit here crying. Not tears of sadness but tears of bliss. Tears of satisfaction. Tears of fulfillment. This place wasn't trying to be anything it wasn't - just authentic food from a region with excellent service But, little did i know - I was waiting to taste beans that I could have 10 tastes of and experience something different with each try. I was waiting for accompaniments to hard corn tortillas that actually excited me for once in my life. I found them - here at Tikua. I have been begging for something different - something out of the ordinary. Something to give me another reason to look forward to next month Tikua gave this to me and for this I owe Tikua my life. I will be back, and I will be hungry - and I may cry again.

This is by far one of the best restaurants I've tried in Mexico!! The food is an ode to Mexican cuisine with a modern twist. We eat delicious dishes and had very refreshing drinks. I highly recommend this place and would certainly come back. The staff was extremely kind, they explained all the dishes we asked about and knew what they were serving.

Best Mexican meal of all time! Great Chard - hard to find! Almost ordered insects, they sounded so good. Tried the Aak “Fresco” en Maya salad with hydroponic veggies - sooo flavorful! The Carnaval de Enchiladas were so flavorful - not too sweet, not too picante!
