Tim Ho Wan is a great spot if you’re looking for classic dim sum that’s tasty, consistent, and affordable. The menu isn’t huge, but what they do offer, they do well.
The baked BBQ pork buns are definitely the highlight — crispy on the outside, soft and sweet inside, with a rich char siu filling. The har gow and siu mai are fresh and flavorful, and the steamed rice rolls have that perfect silky texture. I also enjoyed the turnip cake, which was nicely pan-fried and full of flavor.
The setting is casual and clean, and service is generally quick and efficient. It can get busy during peak times, but the turnover is fast so the wait isn’t too bad.
Overall, it’s a solid choice if you’re in the mood for dim sum without breaking the bank. I’d definitely go back.
