Tim Ho Wan is a great spot if you’re looking for classic dim sum that’s tasty, consistent, and affordable. The menu isn’t huge, but what they do offer, they do well. The baked BBQ pork buns are definitely the highlight — crispy on the outside, soft and sweet inside, with a rich char siu filling. The har gow and siu mai are fresh and flavorful, and the steamed rice rolls have that perfect silky texture. I also enjoyed the turnip cake, which was nicely pan-fried and full of flavor. The setting is casual and clean, and service is generally quick and efficient. It can get busy during peak times, but the turnover is fast so the wait isn’t too bad. Overall, it’s a solid choice if you’re in the mood for dim sum without breaking the bank. I’d definitely go back.

On our first day in Hanoi, we visited the Sky Lotte Observation Deck and then stopped by Tim Ho Wan. The food was absolutely delicious, and the view from the restaurant was stunning. We ordered a variety of dishes, and everything was fantastic. The service was also excellent

Good Dim Sum original from Honkong. Price not too high with 5 stars interior design and 5 stars services. Red pork baked bun is very good!!

This restaurant has a spectacular rooftop view toward Tay lake. Food is good overall but isn’t that impressive. There’s better choice out there for Chinese cuisine. Service is fast and reliable. It’s worth give it a try but If I am really into Chinese cuisine, I wouldn’t come to Tim Ho Wan regularly, only once in a while.

Beautiful restaurant with a great view of the city, but the food quality was subpar. I first visited in 2016 and remembered enjoying it, but I was unimpressed this time. For the price, there are better options in the area.

I usually go to Tim Ho Wan in Bangkok. But the one in Hanoi has fewer menu. Still, food is delicious and price is reasonable for service and restaurant’s atmosphere. It is relaxing and you can enjoy view. Tables are usually full during lunch and dinner. So, you should make a reservation.

Read the reviews by other diners. However, the standard of food is bad as compared to Tim Ho Wan outside Vietnam. Ordered the following: 1. Spicy pork noodles - not bad but a little too spicy 2. Beef brisket noodles - beef was so tough 3. The char siew bun - only one that is goof 4. Crispy beancurd skin with shrimps - this is terrible as the batter is so hard. Not sure why beancurd skin needs a batter to fry.
