We arrived 15 minutes before the park opened to avoid the queue, and I believe it was the best decision, especially considering the long line that had formed an hour and a half later when we left the park. Entry to the park costs 22€ per person, and payment is in cash only, so make sure to have some on hand.
After entering, we boarded a bus for a 40-minute tour. The views were breathtaking, and I recommend sitting on the right side for the best views of the landscapes. You can take as many bus tours as you like since the entry fee covers unlimited rides.
Additionally, you can see geysers and chickens cooked with lava. They look juicy and delicious, but you'll have to wait until lunchtime (12 PM) to taste them, and the area might be overcrowded at that time.
Overall, it was a fantastic experience well worth the 22€. I highly recommend visiting Timanfaya National Park at the beginning of your stay in Lanzarote. The beautiful landscapes, black melted lava, and orange-tinted volcanoes are truly awe-inspiring. 🌋
