Timber Tina's Great Maine Lumberjack Show

10/10. Pure entertainment, I will be telling everyone to come to this show when they visit the Bar Harbor area. Timber Tina, Lucas, Johnny, Ben and Frank were all amazing. You know have life long fans (ladies on the front row from Virginia).

What a great time. This really is a must see if you are looking for an affordable outing. It's not something you see anymore, this is just good fun. Tina is amazing and a character not to be missed. We pulled in and she was the one parking cars, she instantly engaged with us and made us feel like part of the family. It's a fun show, great for young kids.

Tina was a great host, the show was informative and funny. You got to learn a decent amount about the old logging industry and modern logging competitions.

This is cute. Really geared towards kids. I would recommend an adult only evening to have a little more fun for the adults. It was educational, we learned things we didn't know but it was just geared towards kids.

My husband and I went to the lumberjack show as a last minute decision and had so much fun. It was fun and entertaining. Tickets were reasonably priced. Family friendly.

After living in downeast Maine for over 12 years, we finally made it over to see Timber Tina and her crew at the Great Maine Lumberjack Show. Even though I had very little idea of wear to expect, it was a great experience for the whole family. She began with some background and history, which i thoroughly enjoyed. She introduced the development of logging sports and her crew as they competed in a number of different events. She has a lifetime of experience and great knowledge in logging sports and it came through during the Q&A time. They had a hands-on opportunity for children, and part of the show turned into a comedy routine with chainsaws. We all had a great time and it was a fun family night out!

My husband saw the “Great Maine Lumberjack show” sign while driving through and booked tickets for the show that night. They also sell merch such as t-shirts. Ambiance: You will be sitting outside under a covered area (bleachers style). The bathrooms are located right outside the performance area. There is a snack bar selling food and bevs (chips, popcorn, and soda). Show: The show is very kids friendly. I enjoyed it even without bringing children. Some of the jokes were corny and aimed towards kids FYI! Kids Friendly: Timber Tina and her crew truly makes this show an unforgettable moment for children! The show pauses so that kids can safely get involved with some wood chopping activities with their lumberjack. At the end, they even get a little certificate that is signed by their favorite lumberjack to show that they are now a little lumberjack themselves! A lucky child will get to bring home their very own “rabbit” chair (shipping might be involved if you live out of states and did not drive). Tickets: We bought online and they were slightly cheaper than buying at the door.

Great fun for the whole family. Timber Tina and her Jacks and Jills are so talented (and strong!). The show was fun to watch. It is both engaging and we learned a lot about Maine and lumberjacks! We met Timber Tina when we arrived and she was very welcoming and a joy to get to meet! We saw the sign for Timber Tina's Great Maine Lumberjack Show while driving to Bar Harbor and bought tickets online to see the show during on week long vacation to Bar Harbor/Mount Desert Island. Highly recommend for a fun evening and quite affordable too! Get there early to get a good seat (especially if you have a large party). A few housekeeping notes: - You can purchase tickets online or at the door - They sell snacks and drinks (non-alcoholic) before and during the show - This is a handicap accessible venue (we had someone in a wheelchair in our party) - There are porta potties and one is handicap accessible with a ramp

Is the show corny? Yes! It is fun ? Hell yea! Have I been there more than once ? Yes. Would I come back again? Yes ! That's all

This was an adorable show especially for the kids! Entertaining for the adults also! Tina runs an incredible and entertaining show for all ages and her story is equally amazing! Thanks for a good show tina! "YOHO!"

Great way to spend an evening! Timber Tina hosts a great show. She not only educates visitors about the Lumberjack industry history, she entertains the audience with her own personal stories. The Lumberjacks who completed were skilled and entertaining as well. Children in the audience were even able to test their own sawing skills and received a certificate I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great way to pass c lovely Maine evening.

What a great show! Loved the history Tina gave on logging in Maine!! Being local we never went before and we are sorry we waited so long! I will be bringing visiting friends and family back for sure! John brought perfect comedic relief! But the whole crew was amazing as well!

This was a fun show. Great for the kids and they get them involved too. Tina is a great host and mc. She is full of energy and lumberjack knowledge. The stands are covered so it's rain or shine. Plenty of parking and they also have drinks and snacks. You should check it out.

So much fun! Kids, teens, adults and grandparents will enjoy this show! Being from the city, we have never seen a working chainsaw except in the movies. This was not only entertaining but educational. The little ones go to go on stage during a short break and try out sawing a tree. That was the highlight of their trip - next to not eating another lobster! Thank you Tina, Emily, Jordan, John and Buffalower. That's what was written on the certificate that our kids got and now hung up next to their beds.

Our AirBnB host suggested Tina and her lumberjack show and it met our expectations!! The show was very entertaining and educational, and the price was very reasonable. Tina was on Survivor season 12 and spoke about her experience. I recommend this show to everyone. Best money spent in Bar Harbor so far :)

Money well spent on an evening of family fun. I'm a sucker for Americana tourist traps, which this is a little bit of, but it's also a excellent history lesson about the lumberjack days of old. Timber Tina is enthusiastic and engaging while talking about her career and the Maine history of logging. You can tell that this "lumberjill" really knows her stuff, especially since she's been log rolling from the age of seven. Our kids loved the show, even at the ages of 4 and 6, after being dragged on a hike and then on a 3 hour boat ride, they were still captivated by all the saws and flying wood chips. If you've ever watched a lumberjack competition on TV, this is like a little taste of that up close and personal. Comparatively to the other activities in the area, this seems like a steal at less than 20$ a person. We will be back another day to try the personalized lumberjack experience, which isn't a show, but is another activity you can try if you book ahead, because I think I may be more into this than the kids...

THE MAINE ACTIVITY! Probably one of my favorite things to visit here in Acadia- other than the incredible National Park. Tina was a fabulous host and the competitors were SO unbelievably talented. This is a MUST SEE show- giving you a taste of lumberjack history. We celebrated July Fourth with this crew during Quarantine and could not have been happier. They show log rolling, cutting the timber competitions and speed climbing! That was my absolute favorite activity. Both men and women are amazingly athletic and so fast! They also have children interact with the lumberjacks! Super great audience too! Go Red team! We are so happy we came! Tickets for adults is $14 and so worth it! Children tickets are affordable too. They also have refreshments as well. This will forever be my FAVORITE outdoor show and activity in Maine! They have shows at 1:00 PM EST on Saturdays and Sundays. We are from NYC and it's better than Broadway! Please come out and see the World's Greatest Lumberjacks!

Found an ad for this in a local paper and decided to give it a try. For two adults and one senior it was only $41 which is very affordable. The snacks (drinks, pop corn and Popsicle) are all $1. Again nice to not be gauged to entertain families. Four lumberjacks/jills compete against each other in various events. There is an intermission which they allow kids to get up on a stage and try some sawing. It is a little cheesy and scripted but still a good way spend a few hours. Bathrooms are port a potties but very clean. Wear bug spray as you are in the trees of Maine. We had a nice time. Do note that the seating is wooden bleachers.

Met Lumberjack Tina earlier today. You can tell she would be someone to hang with! Fun personality. Fun family event! Must do, rain or shine. Support an American event. Lots of audience participation

This is a must do! We took Tina's lumberjack school durning the day and came back for the show. Tina is amazing!!! She taught my group of 8 (ages 9-76) how to Cross-cut saw, throw axes and walk on water logs. At the show she went into the history of lumber and what the lumberjacks had endure. She had a lot of corny pun jokes in the show which makes us super light and fun. Would I go back- HELL YEAH! ( if you get to hang out with Tina, you need to, she is one of the coolest people I have ever met!)

Lumberjacks actually still exist...in Maine, obviously. If you find yourself in these parts after or before a trek to Acadia and want a get in a laugh or two and hear about the history of this dying, proud trade, stop by here! The owner is "Timber Tina" from the Tv shows 'Survivor' and 'Ultimate Survivor Alaska'. We had a really great time here and learned a lot! Very kid friendly! The show was very entertaining and showcased all of the classic ways to chop wood. We saw high climbing, sawing, axe throwing, even log rolling which was a real hoot! It was interactive and they even had a part where the kiddos could take turns cutting their own logs, with some help of course. They received a certificate afterwards and there was also time for autographs and photos with the big, burly, flannel clad lumberjacks. We all equally enjoyed our time here and recommended it, especially if you have kids! The show is a little over an hour, but is jammed packed with goodness and will no doubt hold everyone's attention. We felt close enough to all of the action, but still far enough away to feel safe even in the front row. Ticket prices were very reasonable (kids under $10) and there's a big free parking lot. The show is only seasonal so check their site. There is only one show at 7pm daily. We stopped by earlier in the day to grab tickets for a show later that night. I would consider doing this! Even if Tina herself is not there, the staff does a great job of hosting!

This is a very reasonably priced, entertaining show for people of all ages. 11 and under are priced at the child rate. They do accept cards. Timber Tina and her crew of lumberjacks and lumberjills in training are skilled and fun to watch. They keep the show engaging through the duration. It is also educational, but in a fun way, which I wasn't expecting. If you're in the area and want to chill after a long day of hiking, but yet be entertained, I would highly suggest checking this out!

Tina seems to be a genuinely nice person! She interacted with the crowd before the show and was genuinely concerned about people who might get rained on, offering umbrellas. Watched her interact with a big Survivor fan without any hint of boredom or frustration. She seemed genuinely interested to talk to a fan. The show is interesting, and there is a participation portion for young children, which is sweet. The jokes are corny, and maybe some of the lumberjack/ lumberjill competition outcomes are intentionally balanced to keep the "drama" alive between the two teams that you are rooting for, but it is family-friendly and genuinely sweet.

Great show for kids. Very corny, but very entertaining. We attended while we were in Acadia Natl Park, and thought it would be fun for our three young children...and it was well worth the visit. Good entertainment...impressive talents...worth a visit.

So yes, this probably is a great stop for families with kids. Unfortunately, Timber Tina was not there that night, but the local lumberjacks did a great job of running the show. I would not recommend this for an adult only stop, unless you are really interested in lumber jack skills. It was a reasonable cost for an evening, so I rated it A-Ok. Not sure I'd go there again, but I did have an enjoyable evening.

FUN Nice, kid-oriented show. Too bad only one of the four lumberjacks had a big beard ;-) But then, they're actually kids on a summer job.

This was the most fun!!!! I wish we had more time on this trip or we would book a family lesson with Tina and crew. Our seven year old had the time of his life but I would recommend this whether or not you have children. Cleanest porta potties ever, and affordable tshirts and snacks as well!

Something to do with the family for the night. Not expensive, cheap concessions too. Show is hokey and campy and not intense lumberjack stuff, best for younger kids, my 17 year old wasn't really into it but my 13 year old liked it which surprised me

Stopped here on a whim and had a awesome time Reasonable price for a local attraction. Tina did a awesome job with narrating about the old time lumberjacks. Don't let her fool ya. Our family had a great time! Our boys (and ourselves) were thoroughly entertained by all the lumberjacks. Tina does a great job of infusing info about lumberjacks and competition. It was a real surprise to have $1 popcorn as a treat too! This will surely be a highlight of the trip to Maine.

Go! Just go. Whether you are a local or a tourist... It is worth it for the Timber Tina experience! I grew up in Maine, driving by and taking selfies (before they were even called selfies) with my friends in front of the Great Maine Lumberjack Show sign practically since it opened. We thought it was pretty silly, but always secretly wondered what this mysterious lumberjack show was all about. Well, 20 years later, I finally broke down and went to the show on a visit back to Maine... and it did not disappoint! Timber Tina is quite the character! She hosted the show, sharing the history of lumberjacking, speaking on her influence in bringing women into the sport, and cracking a few cheesy jokes along the way. She had four young lumberjacks competing against each other in traditional axe throwing, wood chopping, and log rolling events, among others. She trains those interested in learning and has day classes or group events too. It's definitely worth it for a lighthearted lumberjack evening! One tiny piece of feedback - I really would have liked to see Timber Tina compete or just show off a little... Next time, Tina. Next time. Enjoy the show and get ready to be inspired to go buy some plaid flannel!

Great show...Tina and her team are incredible. This is a must see show for the entire family. I highly recommend this show. Give it a try you will not be disappointed!

Saw Tina's show earlier this evening, lots of dry humor and wit,. The show was geared towards kids and very amusing. She does a good job getting th crowd involved. The show ran around 1n hour and 15 min with a 10-15 minute intermission that is a smart marketing tactic to get people over to buy drinks/food from the concession stand and a chance for the little ones to come up and put their hands on the saws and make some memories. Tina is very lively and does a good job at explaining how/why stuff works. Good place to bring young kids - teens probably wouldn't enjoy it as much. The 3 guys she had with her did a good job at backing her up and keeping up with her wit. Don't go there expecting a huge ESPN competition.

Love this show! Great family entertainment and super affordable. Kids can try sawing during intermission or if you have more time, call ahead and set up a family logrolling lesson. Added bonus: Tina was a contestant on Survivor and on Ultimate Survivor Alaska. She's happy to take pictures with you. What's cooler than that?

Just a fun and different things to do when you're up in Acadia. Plenty of good restaurants around it to go to before the show. Makes for such a fun night. So it's entertaining, and the joke stale after the second time we've been there (after four years) but still fun

This show was one of the highlights of our trip. Tina was both funny, and informative about lumberjacks and their business. The show was well paced and amazingly received by the children in the audience. Price was reasonable, and the snacks were too. This is a must see in the Bar Harbor area. One minor issue, the show site is good, but the bathrooms did not have light. Bring a flashlight. That being said, this is a great show. I will go again.

We have been coming to the great Maine lumberjack show for several years now with our 10 year old son. This show is legit-a throw back look at the art and skill of lumber jacking. Reasonably priced and highly entertaining (log rolling, ax throwing, pole climbing, etc.), with the owner a world class lumberjack in her own right, it is really a must seen when visiting Acadia. You can spend over 100 bucks eating at some overpriced Bar Harbor restaurant or spend a third the amount with your family watching this show. It's a no brainer.

A fun show for the whole family. My girlfriend and I ended up here by accident since our whale watching your had been canceled. We did not know what to expect. The show turned out to be very entertaining, funny and educational. I would recommend this to everyone looking for something a little different to do.

Awesome show, great for kids. Timber Tina and her gang of lumberjack pros show you how it's done through a combination of timber sport events including log rolling, climbing, axe throwing and various saw and axe specialties. Great entertainment value. Don't miss it.

Didn't think I'll enjoy the show but it was a hell of experience. It's a must if you are visiting ME. Tina is awesome performer and have a great character. I don't think the show will be that good without her.

This was a lot of fun. We thought the show was cute and funny, but if you want a real lumberjack competition be warned this isn't it. They demonstrate a lot of the things but it's not like the stuff you see on ESPN (yes, my husband makes me watch it lol). But if you had kids they loved it and Tina was pretty hilarious. We had a fun hour or so for a very reasonable price after hiking all day so it was well worth it to me.

I drove by this sign for Lumberjack Show on my way to Bar Harbor. Lumber jacking seemed uniquely Maine so we went. Our three kids were under 10 and from the reviews it seemed that the show was family friendly if not geared towards the younger crew. My expectations of the show were not that high, I wanted the family to have a good time which they most certainly did. If you don't have kids I would still go but I am guessing those with kids will find the greater value. The show was very good. Small ding in points for starting 10 minutes late but it did go for the promised 75 minutes. Intermission was quite lengthy and would only be a issue if you did not have kids. All four of the competitors were very good and we enjoyed their work in the show. I thought the prices were fair for what we got.
