Timber Trail Lodge

My experience was amazing. The trail itself was stunning, topped off with the lodge and the exceptional staff. I have food allergies and these were catered for seamlessly. Huge thanks, I can’t wait to come back!!

My friends and I had an incredible time on the Timber Trail over the weekend. From start to finish, everything was seamless. The shuttle team was punctual and incredibly friendly, setting the tone for the journey. The lodge was a perfect retreat after a day on the trail—cozy beds, a welcoming atmosphere, and hearty, delicious meals that hit the spot. What really stood out was the staff’s attentiveness; they were genuinely focused on our needs and made us feel completely at home. It was the kind of experience that leaves you both recharged and inspired. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a memorable cycling adventure with top-notch hospitality.

I had a wonderful stay at the Timber Trail Lodge. The food was absolutely amazing, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and well set up. The lodge itself, along with all the facilities, was fantastic and made the experience even more enjoyable. What really stood out was the customer service – the team went above and beyond, making us feel truly welcome and looked after. I’d highly recommend this lodge to anyone looking for a great place to stay.

The timber trail itself is gorgeous, going through a variety of terrain and landscapes and showcasing some of New Zealand's most beautiful foliage and scenery. The food was quite good, especially considering it's a small cabin in the woods, and we appreciated the packed lunches that were provided. I got a good workout biking the trail while my wife rode an e-bike for the first time and we had a great time together.

We had such a wonderful experience at the timber trail lodge. From the moment we got there we were welcomed with a wave from the kitchen staff, then we were signed in at reception by the most polite young man, he was so helpful & explained everything in detail. Rooms were clean & tidy & the food was wonderful. We will definitely be back

The room was comfortable and warm! Very important for our winter stay. We had a room with ensuite and sliding door to the deck. This was great as we could easily get out for a star gaze!|The whole place was peaceful and very relaxing. We would totally recommend staying at Timber Trail Lodge.

Couldn’t rate the lodge any higher. Amazing service from the staff, great food and drinks and clean comfortable rooms. The company do a fantastic job with the transfers and bay drops which make for a luxury experience. Definitely not expected but was welcomed when you’re out in the middle of nowhere.

We've just come back from our bike trip along the timber trail and we're so glad we've purchased the one-night package. From the transport, the meals, the rooms, the (very much needed) warm shower,... everything was perfect and made our weekend unforgettable. Thank you!
