Built into an old fire station, first thing I noticed when I came in was the railroad-style interior that isn't narrow. Great store, with a minimal design that makes the product accessible and fun to engage with. The staff here are friendly, straightforward, and attentive to the customer's needs when it comes to selecting the right bag. I was helped promptly and courteously on my visit, and they provided me with a lot of information about how to wear the bags and what they're designed to be best used for. The bags themselves are good products. I've owned a handful myself, and never been disappointed. They span a fairly wide price range, and while their lower end is a little high compared to department store junk, it'll last for a very long time and feel like it was designed with care. You get what you pay for. I'd obviously recommend visiting here.

Difficult to reach by phone, had to call a few different times until I got an answer. I bought two bags online and went in store to return one. Staff was very helpful in store and I was able to drop off my bag to them and they handled the rest of the return process (for free). Very happy with the quality of my backpack and would recommend their backpacks for everyday use.

I think its kind of a waste of a good space in the area. The company could do a better job of trying to make this store something more but this "showroom" is really just that, a place to see the bags in person but the store doesn't really price match and nothing is on sale. Stores like these have little reason to exist when you can get much better prices and deals online. If the company took better ownership of their stores and made them into an experience and less of a showroom i'm sure this place could me better.

INCREDIBLE customer service. I came to the store looking for an extra large backpack with chest and hip support straps to assist with some back problems. Was greeted warmly by Eric, who showed me a number of different options and explained what he felt were the strengths and weaknesses of each bag in regards to my needs. Now I don't have a lot of money, and their bags are definitely at the top of my price range. But after shopping around to compare, it was VERY clear where I should spend that money and I came back to this location without hesitation. Immediately after walking in the door, I heard Eric shout out "you're back!!". Even after buying, Eric helped me fit the bag and make sure none of the straps were hanging off weirdly before sending me on my way. I'm usually apprehensive about spending a lot of money at once, but being welcomed so warmly and assisted SO thoroughly put me completely at ease with this purchase. Seriously y'all, 10/10.

Love their products and Chicago is definitely really lucky to have a store in the city! Most people have to go to retailers in order to get their products. In this store, you're able to touch and feel the products before you purchase. You also have the opportunity to custom-design your own packs and bags while in store, but, it will take 6-8 weeks for delivery.

I not only love this company, but I love and adore this shop! Every time I shop at Timbuk2 Chicago, the staff are very helpful and very knowledgeable about their products. As a shopper, I appreciate the fact that bag styles are always fresh and current, and even though I'm not a cyclest, they have something for everyone! Keep up the great work TB2!

Fantastic customer service, too the time to understand my needs in a bad and offered several options to me, gave me a tour of each bag, and gave me time to try them on and explore them myself. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to get a new backpack, messenger, or other bag.

The staff is always helpful and polite. This location has many styles of bags to choose from. So it's more practical to explore on the tumbuk2 website first. Then come into the store to look and make a purchase. Also if you bring in an old tumbuk2 bag, the store will give you 20% off on a new bag purchase. This does not apply to bags already on sale.
