Wonderful experience! Tina is truly an artist, working away at her sewing machine while you shop, and is such a warm and lovely person. She is Danish, my husband is Swedish, and they hit it off immediately, making the visit even more fun. Her assistant (I sadly forgot to get her name) was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. If you want to find completely unique pieces crafted right before your eyes, this is the place for you. 10/10! Not to be missed!

An amazing shop my mother and I stumbled upon walking around in the area. Beautiful dresses flattering all shapes and sizes. My mom found a perfect dress for a wedding (an amazing feat as she really doesn’t like how dresses look on her) and Tina was so lovely and accommodating to make the alterations in time for us to pick up before we left Rome. I’d like to particularly point out her trouser shapes which are made, in her words, for a woman’s body - perfect for someone who has a smaller waist and bigger hips. It was such a pleasure to visit her shop for the handmade gems she has, and to chat with such a friendly and kind owner like Tina!

I stumbled upon Tina's timeless creations online and have since been fortunate enough to enjoy her precision and affection in tailored garments. I could probably leave a very exalted review, how magical Tina’s atelier is but that would not describe this great experience I had today in her shop. First of all - she’s a true professional and artist in one person. Second - clothes designed by her are not only extraordinary in designed but above all - with all those beautiful patterns which in some cases were also designed by her. Third - the whole concept of slow, responsible fashion is what adds additional value. Local production (some of the pieces have been made by Tina herself!) and Italian fabrics of the highest quality make each dress, skirt or jacket not only unique but also responsible. Forth - Tina herself. A person with simply good vibe. You can easily feel she loves what she’s doing and she truly leaves a piece of her heart in each design she creates. I’ll be back for sure😊

Spent a lovely afternoon with Tina today. She is full of life, her store is tastefully curated, and she has an eye for design. I simply can’t wait to wear everything I purchased from her today.

Ladies, leave your insecurities at home. Size inclusitivioty! Review Update: Third visit and I finally met Tina. Yes, I travel to Rome because I love Tina's pieces that much. My experiences were a tad different this time. I've always worked with Giorgia, who is Tina's spunky red headed assistant. This time I had the opportunity to work with them both. A great team indeed! When you enter her shop look for your likes first. If you don't see your size don't worry about it. Tina will alter her apparel. Sizes are inclusive! Six mos. ago, I entered her shop 10 lbs thinner. I was concerned I wouldn't find as many choices to compliment my larger size. Not true. She made it happen! I felt beautiful. She sewed a snap on my top while I waited. I learned she has twins, which of course added to my excitement level as I am an identical twin. I'm adding more photos. Original review: I enjoy fashion and I was on the hunt for some new gems to add to my closet. Tina Sondergaard checked all my boxes. I can wear her 1950's style skirt with a blouse or my Rosie the Riveter t-shirt. Where to start? I read about her boutique in a blog when I was planning my first trip to Rome. I fell in love with her apparel. Her pieces are reasonably priced, considering the quality and custom fabrics and styles. I want to say I paid on average $100 usd per garment. You'll find 50's style dresses, slacks, blouses and skirts. The fabrics! They're absolutely stunning and custom created. I bought some pieces from her a year ago and they're still beautiful after several outings and washings. I had to have my pants hemmed when I returned home because Tina was out of town. Normally. Tina hems and alters her apparel for her customers. I did personal message Tina Sondergaard's FB page to ensure store hours before planning my trip. I'd recommend contacting her boutique about available sizes before going in if you're traveling a long distance. Her shop is about a 15 minute walk from the Roma Trenitalia. If you love fashion and are traveling to Rome it's an absolute must! Her pieces are treasures. She's a Dane too. This makes her extra special.

My friend and I came from Canada to visit this store. Not only did my friend find the perfect dress to wear for her daughter's wedding, I found multiple blouses and dresses that will take me through many seasons! Friendly Georgia, the assistant, helped us so much. Owner and designer, Tina, is wonderful. Professionalism and kindness- what a combo. Do not miss this place. I promise you, you will be happy you went there.

Unique designer pieces, handmade, gorgeous fabrics. The attendant was extremely helpful and courteous. I bought a gorgeous dress and I had a very happy experience in this store. A treasure.

This store caught my eyes are the beautiful color blouses. They sell beautiful coloured coats too. Tina explained to me all her fabrics are all sourced from Florence and the buttons on the coats are all vintage. You can see her sewing machine in the shop. Tina is very kind and I probably go back and buy a few things before I leave Rome. I felt I make a new friend.

What a wonderful shop! It's like a treasure trove of beautiful, unique clothing. Tina and the woman who works with her are charming, friendly, helpful and so talented! This is the sort of place that you almost want to keep a secret because it's so special - so please don't all go at once!!

I purchased three dresses from Tina three years ago in Rome. As others have said, she will alter the dresses for you for a perfect fit. The price was incredibly affordable for a handmade tailored dress, and the fabrics are exquisite. When I went to pick up the dresses, their credit card terminal was down and I didn't have enough cash. She let me take the dresses and trusted me to come back the next day with cash(!), so I would say you can safely ignore the previous review questioning her integrity. I get so many compliments every time I wear one of her dresses at home in the U.S. Every time someone asks where I bought it and I tell them from a small dressmaker's shop in Rome, they look crestfallen. I am headed back to Rome this month, and look forward to buying a couple more dresses while I am there. I look forward to seeing Tina again. She is warm and wonderful!

I had googled best places to shop in Rome and read about this designer making dresses in the back of the shop. I was in LOVE upon walking in. Someone had mentioned her dresses run all sizes and being a 10/12 I was pleasantly suprised to find lots of dresses that fit. I selected a fish print dress that was ON SALE! She not only pinned it on my body to perfect fit, she changed the neckline from boatneck to V because it was more flattering on me, she also added POCKETS to the dress. Pockets are heaven on a A-line dress!! I picked up the next day, tried it on, perfect fit! I got a custom dress for $110€!!! Amazing experience. I wanted to go back to get more, but time did not allow. If you only get one thing in Rome, get a beautiful dress custom fitted here!! Takes credit cards as well.

What a wonderful experience to have in Rome. I saw a beautiful dress sitting in the window of her store in a side street of Rome. Tried on a dress and Tina tailored it while I went to dinner. Tina gets her cloth from Florence, which are high quality and beautiful cloth. She also has very lady-like designs. You can try on the dress both before the fitting and after. She quickly adjusts the dress to your size while you have dinner close by. She actually tailored the dress to my size and then had me pay- so I would argue that you can trust her as a merchant. I saw a mention of Tina Sondergaard's shop in a tourist list of interesting shops, walked by, and was completely charmed by her designs. I purchased three dresses - two with a fitted bodice and inverted pleated skirt, and one long sleeve shirt dress. The fabrics are exquisite. She tailored all three for pick up the next day. I receive compliments every time I wear them. Love her work, and planning to order more shirt dresses.

Fantastic clothes with unique fabrics. I bought a beautiful dress which was custom tailored to fit me in a couple hours while I sat in a nearby cafe. Also bought two shirts made from really unique fabrics. I always get compliments when I wear her stuff and everyone wants to know where I got it from. Prices are very reasonable even before you factor in the quality and custom fitting. Recommended!

I ordered 3 items - a dress and 2 jackets, all fully paid for in cash (this is a cash only store). Fittings were done in the store. The dress was a disaster -so Tina said she would fix it and mail it to my home in NY. That was 8 months ago. I've sent e-mails and letters, all of which she's ignored. The jackets were OK. But she is a dishonest merchant.

I ended up buying 2 dresses, 2 skirts (1 pencil & 1 full A-line), and a white shirt. Tina's designs are very feminine and classic interpreted in modern ways and are very reasonably priced considering the quality of material and craftsmanship involved. It's an atelier/shop so Tina and a seamstress can always alter the clothes to flatter your body in a better way. I got fitted first and they altered 3 pieces in 3 hours while I was having lunch in the neighborhood. I love all my purchases. They're original yet classic. As a whole, it was a wonderful experience!
