Tinamba Hotel

We had been looking forward to dinner for a long time here after hearing reviews from other people. However, unfortunately we all left quite unsatisfied. The food quality was definitely very impressive (other than one of our meals being quite over cooked). However, for the amount of food we ordered and how much we spent I was not expecting to walk out still starving. We were actually discussing buying a pizza afterwards. Everything we tasted was absolutely delicious but after ordering 6-8 meals (from memory 4 entrees and 2 mains) I was not expecting the three of us to leave still that hungry. I can safely say we won’t be returning for dinner. In saying that the staff and service were lovely. The owner is lovely. I feel quite rude writing this review but also wish I’d known before dining.

We stopped into the Tinamba hotel for a drink as we were driving through and the publican Simon was amazing. He was so knowledgeable on the local wineries and breweries and super personable. Ended up staying for a few. Its such a beautiful old pub, we cannot wait to go back and have a meal as I've heard amazing things.

Exceptionally disappointing. We waited an hour for our food and we were waited on for drinks once when we arrived. When we asked about the time delay on food we were told that we had been notified of it being busy; there were less than 30 people seated on the floor and there was no warning. Rather there were apprentices with no head chief and wait staff with inadequate leadership, ‘i guess I’m in charge.’ While the food was delicious, it was soured by the rest of the experience.

Incredible steak, nice old building, and staff were excellent. Thanks for making our visit lovely, will be back for sure!

What a gorgeous place to experience! The ambience inside is so relaxing, the cocktails are delicious and the 6 course meal was excellent! Friendly staff too!

We went for lunch it was relaxing. Colours inside are sage green and dark timber. Had a delicious minty cocktail. On the - side the water for the table has a funny taste so we ordered bottled.

Just love the Tinamba Pub and had a truely delicious and delightful afternoon there this weekend celebrating hubby’s birthday. They do everything possible to accommodate food preferences and all 6 of us left very happy indeed. We will be back soon.

If you are going anywhere in East Gippsland then don't miss this hotel/restaurant. One of the best restaurants in Victoria in the middle of no where- but make sure you book yes it's that good. The menu is excellent and well thought out although for me the desserts a little busy, but most people like that. If you like top quality food in beautiful surroundings with excellent service at a moderate price then make the journey you will not be disappointed-but make sure you have a designated u Thanks driver if you are going to drink.

The best restaurant this side of Melbourne. This is a great place for a lunch or lavish dinner. Their food is delicious, well presented and served by attentive servers. This is a must, well worth the drive.
