I took this class last week(Saturday, morning class) while I was in Thailand for a 4-day business trip. Despite my hectic schedule, I made sure to squeeze in time for a Thai cooking class.
Because I was busy before arriving in Thailand, I didn’t do much research on the location. I later found out that my hotel was about a 50-minute Grab ride from the cooking school. After a very busy and exhausting Friday, I woke up late the next morning and rushed to the class. Unfortunately, I arrived late.
I chose the morning class mainly because it included a market tour, and I arrived at around 8:50 a.m., thinking I had already missed it. However, when I reached the cooking studio, the staff warmly greeted me, assisted me right away, and even led me to join the market tour. Luckily, the market was close to the studio, and I was still able to join the group at the last minute. 😊
Our instructor that day was very lively—if I’m not mistaken, her name was Chon. She had such an energetic and cheerful personality that truly brought the class to life. She made everything easy to understand and fun, which really enhanced the overall experience.
The cooking level was very beginner-friendly—so easy that even kids could do it. The food is also very tasty. I had a great time, and the whole experience was absolutely worth the rush and the decision to attend.
I’m glad I chose the right school to learn Thai food. Although this wasn’t my first time cooking and I’m already familiar with the ingredients and basics, learning directly from the locals makes a big difference. I’m truly glad I made the right choice.
One small suggestion: I wish they offered more menu options to choose from, as that would make the experience even better.
If you’re planning to visit Thailand and want to learn how to cook authentic Thai food, I highly recommend giving @Tingly Thai Cooking School a try. It’s definitely worth the money and the knowledge you gain.
