On the Grid : King's Lane Sandwiches

"BIG BIG sandwiches for when you're really hungry. Friendly (but hard core!) sandwich makers greet you and make you up a brick sized wedge. Our favourite's the chicken schnitzel." - Universal Favourite

Really good sandwich with huge thick cut bread and loads of fillings. Good value for money considering the sandwich is so big. I got the deli and would recommend. My only comment was I got given white instead of brown bread but easy mistake to make and the white bread did taste good.

Decent American style sandwich. Perfect for a quick bite during lunch hours. But waiting can be bit long during rush hrs. Overall worth the value!

Came here and got the sweet chilli chicken sandwich takeaway. Bread is very nice and soft, however the chicken was a little dry and the sandwich didn’t hold together well and was a little messy to eat. Chilli was a nice touch. A little small/not as filling as I would have liked for the price. Hopefully other’s experiences were better!

My wife and I visited Tiny’s for lunch on a Friday afternoon while we were in the city, and it turned out to be a fantastic choice. We ordered the Burrito Bowl, Satay Chicken Salad, and Popcorn Chicken — and every dish impressed us. The Burrito Bowl stood out immediately. While it differed from the traditional Mexican version, it had its own unique twist and was absolutely delicious. The Satay Chicken Salad was also very enjoyable, with a lovely balance of flavors. However, one small suggestion for the chef: grilling the chicken instead of using it poach chicken could really elevate the satay flavor and add a smoky depth to the dish. Now, the Popcorn Chicken — wow! It was perfectly crispy, well-seasoned, and easily one of the best we’ve had in a while. What made the experience even better was the pricing. For a cafe located in the heart of the city, the prices were very reasonable — moderate and definitely value for money. The cozy vibe, friendly service, and well-executed food made our lunch memorable. We’ll definitely be back for more.

Sandwiches are absolutely massive, the Burrata and prosciutto one is so delicious. The bread is very soft so it easily squished and gets a bit mushy but still have a nice flavour. Loaded tater tots are fabulous also. Check out my food Instagram @erinxeats for more!

It's just always a struggle to find decent vegetarian food here. I ordered falafel bowl which had more leaves than substance. It was flavoured well. The beetroot juice had more ice than the juice itself. My friend ordered a Vietnamese version of their sandwich and she was disappointed as well. Tater tots were delicious. The service and ambience is good.

It's good to see that there are finally some good quality sandwiches in Sydney similar to the USA. Too long has Australia had those miserable sandwiches with a single slice of ham that you could hardly taste. The smoked ham was good quality but there was a bit too much carrot that in the sandwich so they need to fix the ratio. The bread was nice and thick. The smoked salmon sandwich also suffered a bit of ratio issues as there simply was not enough salmon for the size of the sandwich for it to be noticeable or pronounced. The popcorn chicken was crispy and juicy and came with some actual popcorn that was a bit quirky and fun. The Caesar salad was solid and came with a big piece of fried prosciutto. Good efficient service for a lunch time service.
