3 days in Singapore: The April 2020 edition - SilverKris

"An offshoot of a beloved French-pastry bakery offering an all-day breakfast concept with a sizeable selection of plant-based dishes; standout plates include fluffy brown butter pancakes, a hot chicken salad with caramelised pumpkin, and a chayote kimchi and mung bean salad that balance indulgence with fresh flavours." - Sanjay Surana

The food was overall pretty good. The chocolate pastry was mostly plain, kinda not worth it being $7. It was 95% puff and 5% chocolate. Very stingy…. The almond pastry was pretty sweet and tasty. The staff here are nice. Definitely worth coming for teabreak.

I came here for a quick breakfast, expecting a mediocre meal. However, I was pleasantly surprised because o had ordered the breakfast with a crouffle(?) and some portobello mushrooms which was absolutely amazing! There was also a sweet, croissant like bread. It was sweet and perfectly tasty! Everything was delicious with the exception of the dark cherry matcha. It was oddly foamy and the taste wasn’t as matcha-y as i had expected. Other than that, the meal was pretty good! I would definitely come back again-but without matcha.

This is my repeat visit to the outlet at Raffles City because of the warm and welcome service by the staff Ms Nancy. Her friendliness and helpfulness are beyond the standard service. Tiong Bahru cafe has other outlets but this sone is the best. Not only Nancy but the short hair staff at the counter I believe must be the manager is also very helpful. She is pro-active and offers her service instead of even ask. Ms Nancy deserves a promotion as she successfully carries your brand to a good name. My last wish is...I hope you will be a Halal certified F&B so that I can bring all my Muslim friends, family and relatives to come and enjoy the great food and drinks tha you serve here...❤️

We had breakfast here and it was absolutely delicious! We ordered the Breakfast Crockett and the Savoury Pancake, both were packed with flavor and beautifully presented. A special shoutout to Nancy, who was so kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout our visit. Her warm hospitality made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

This famous croissant place is a bit pricey, but the bread and plates are really tasty. Above all, the waitress, Nancy, was so warm and friendly. Highly recommend a visit!

Wanted to wind down and ordered a croissant to paint and eat on the weekend! Nancy, the waitress was really kind and complimented my painting! And the staff even gave me a free croissant. In the end, my painting was put at the art board. Which is actually a great show of art appreciation from TB bakery! Truly a core memory made 🥐

Aug 2025: love the light coming from the ceiling into the cafe. Many seats and they open early too. Will try to visit to taste the food they serve there other than the pastries.

The coffee is good... the croissant is buttery and flaky... nice!! Will definitely come back again for more pastries, sandwiches and coffee!
