Tiong Bahru Lor Mee

Overall dining experience at the revamped Tiong Bahru Market is fair. Lots of fans and the BIGASS Fan … plenty of ventilations and airy. This Tiong Bahru Lor Mee stall at Tiong Bahru Market, however gets an overall NO, IMHO. Ordered the $5 (中） Mee Hoon + Mee Lor Mee. The yellow Mee very little and the white Mee Hoon came fully cuddled up in a broom mess … soon the entire concoction became watery diluted … and I get annoyed with the Lor Mee turning watery too quickly. Seriously, what has happened to the Lor Mee cooking culture here? The entire Lor is just a colored starchy concoction. And the cook does not play any detail attention to the cooking of the yellow noodle or the Mee Hoon, especially !! The rest of the LM ingredients are just pre-cooked and added on as garnish. Hence, the good cook ought to cook and dewater the Mee properly before receiving the garnish and the Lor !! Won’t be returning to this stall for a while.

You ca generously add your own chilli, garlic, vinegar, parsley freely. Just wish the sauce can be hotter (kind of lukewarm when served). You can use CDC voucher.

30/November/2025 Had Lor Mee (M, $5) for breakfast, was good. Long queue cleared relatively fast. I'll be back!

$4,$5,$6. Lots of price to suit the different ppl for this nice bowl of Lor Mee. Sauce is tradition and tasty. Ingredients are nice and fresh. All the toppings self top up. Worth a stop if u wanna have lor mee.

Very popular Lor mee store. There is always a (long) queue. Very tasty - smooth noodles with gooey starchy sauce. I love mine with extra black vinegar. Must try!

$4 portion here. Friendly and efficient service, good simple food. My go-to for traditional lor mee flavours.

Thick, hearty and quick service. Fried meats and wanton was a great texture addition. Love that you can add your own minced garlic, vinegar, white pepper and parsley. It will always be good if you can customize it to your liking. Noodles portion could be bigger but that doesn't stop me from recommending it.

Legendary Lor Mee at the Tiong Bahru Market. Served with your choice of noodles and their signature toppings of fried fish cutlet, pork and others. You can add on fresh mincrled garlic, chilly paste and black vinegar to your likings.

The Lor Mee here is one of the best dishes I had during my Singapore trip. You can spot them the moment you go up the escalator of Tiong Bahru center to the 2nd floor where the hawkers stalls are. They are in the right corner with a persistent line. Lor Mee is flat egg noodles with a sticky soup that I'm assuming is heavy with corn starch. The dish doesn't look like much but it was so good. The broth had excellent flavor and the sticky texture made the dish. My friend and I bought enough food for 4 at this hawker center and threw away a lot of food but this Lor Mee is the only thing I finished completely. If I had any more room left in my stomach, I would have gone back for seconds. I definitely recommend not missing this stall.
